An Aereoscopic Adventure! An Aereoscopic Adventure!2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
i have always been a huge fan of art books. in fact i would say that 99 percent of my bookshelves are filled with art books ranging from animation to fashion design and everything visual in between. it was partly why i am so excited to have produced my own book, Walking Your Octopus. one of my goals with this project was to create an art book that was also an art object and this vision guided every aspect of the book's production. as we all know ebooks are becoming more and more popular and i struggled with how my book which was a celebration of all things analog might fit into the digital space. fortunately my very creative friend eric, had the solution...Aereoscope.

Dracula BeginsDracula Begins4 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Halloween fast approaches…
…and with it, the latest re–make, this time an “origins” story, of the “Dracula” legend (“Dracula Untold”, October). For some magical or medical reason Dracula so stimulates and fascinates our psyches that it has survived and thrived since publication in 1897. Rather than present a synopsis of the original novel’s narrative for the few of you that haven’t read it or seen at least one of its movie versions, what is offered here is a rough charting of the evolution of this story.

Bram Stoker was Dracula’s creator.

Born in Philadelphia in April 1954, Glen Keane is an American author, animator and illustrator who is widely known for his work in various Disney movies such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Tangled, amongst others.
His father Bil Keane, cartoonist and creator of The Family Circus, played an important role in Keane's early interest in art, instructing him to analyze body forms and the creative approach to life drawing when giving him a copy of Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy.
After graduating high school, Keane went to the California Institute of the Arts where he was mentored by animation teacher Jules Engel, as his application was accidentally sent to the Program in Experimental Animation (called Film Graphics b

Rapunzel's Wig FAQ and an InterviewHey everyone!Rapunzel's Wig FAQ and an Interview3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's been a while since I last checked in. In fact, it's been so long that I just realised I never posted the cosplay interview I did here (and that was in January!). Japan Cinema invited me to chat to them for a while for their cosplay corner - if you're interested, you can read about it over here.
In other news, I have finally gotten around to doing a photoshoot for Rapunzel! Thank you so much to :iconstrawdoll: for being such an amazing photographer...you're so nice to me :'D And so, since I'm about to attack you all with photos, I figured it would be a great time to finally, finally post the FAQ I've been promising for her wig. Here we go!

Oh my god, is that your real hair?
Er, no. Really, really no.
It must be really heavy then! How much does it weigh?

Thusday, 24th May:
I arrived at the Airport in the afternoon and the organization team picked me up from there . The hotel room was directly next to the con. It was still some time till Elffi's plane would arrive, so Christian (organization team member) and I took a walk in a nearby park. I got so distracted by wild DOGS, BIRDS and CATS everywhere *-*! I could pet a cute wild kitty <3 awww~~
The we went to the airport to pick up Elffi. We were standing there pretty long and I got bored and annoyed XD;....so the first thing I did after he came out of the baggage claim room, was kicking his leg and asking why the hell that took so long ;O;~~~
We haven't seen each other since WCS, so that really heartwarming kick was the nicest greeting I could get in mind *LOL*.

With the unfortunate recent passing of famous movie critic, Roger Ebert, I felt it would be appropriate to post the review they both did back in the day on Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Both Gene Siskel, who also is sadly no longer with us and Roger Ebert gave two thumbs up to Disney's 34th animated classic movie. They both thoroughly enjoyed it.
They now are reunited with each other once more in that big movie theater in the sky. God bless to the both of them and thank you for all the interesting reviews over the years.
Rest in Peace:

In 1999, there was a girl at my school named Annabelle. She was a Junior, and let me tell you, she was a very pretty girl; pale skin, a few freckles, long brown hair, and blue eyes. She was rich and fit into a crowd, and had lots of friends. Sounds like the best life ever, right?
The thing nobody knew was that she was only popular to avoid bullies and peer pressure, which on occasion, she still had to deal with. People took advantage of her for her money and guys only liked her because of her appearance. She hated everything about it; she hated knowing she couldn't be herself because nobody would love her, she hated makeup, the clothes; everything. On top of that, she was Agnostic and her best friend was Wiccan; she would've been bullied for being accused of being Satanic.
That's not even half of it, though; her father, Bryce, was a

2014 Yaya Han Calendar - it's here!I thought now would be a good time to make the calendar available to the public since they were shipped out to me yesterday! After the successful trial run of last year's calendar, I wanted to make an even better cosplay calendar for 2014!2014 Yaya Han Calendar - it's here!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
To summarize: The 2014 Limited Edition Yaya Han Calendar features 12 months of new cosplay images printed on glossy 11x17 paper, which flips open to a 11x24 calendar. Out of the 12 monthly images, only 2 have been released before, all others are brand new and shot exclusively for the calendar. None of the images will be available as a print or poster, you will only be able to see them in the calendar.
FREE shipping within USA and Canada, $10 shipping everywhere else! It is again $24.99, just like last year, and will be signed and personalized by me! I'll post some teaser pics soon but you get a great idea of the calendar's look from the cover and back cover alre

First of all, let me warn you that by the end of this journal entry, you may find yourself sick of my face. (If you aren't already.) I'll be using mostly myself as an example for the things I'm going to discuss, because I'm the only person I can poke fun at without restrictions.
I get asked a lot of questions about these cosplay photos that most of you have come to know me for. Sometimes it's about the techniques we use, requests for tips and advice for other people who want to do something similar. Other times, the comments come from people who aren't familiar with cosplay, but are curious about it and are interested to know more. So I thought of making this li

The commission details and rules are on my top page, bottom left.
I'll keep on taking free suggestions so please write it as a comment under this journal, although I don't have much time lately to pick something from here x_x Maybe if you're lucky I might draw your suggestion when I got free time.
I advice you to do a search on my gallery (the search window is on top of the gallery page) to see if I've already drawn something you like to see.
I WILL draw:
Fanart of any games/animes/etc. if there are references you can give me.
I probably WILL NOT draw:
>>Scenes from Fanfics and OCs (I'll draw them for commission)
>>Animals, Dragons alone

I've been seeing DeviantArtist (not using names, but you could probably think of a few I might be talking about) constantly complaining how certain types of fans ruin famous creepypasta's, such as Slenderman. And it's getting freaking annoying.
Like, this is the kind of stuff they complain about:
"OMG Slenderman is NOT cute and/or kawaii!"
"Pewdiepie ruined Slender!"
"Slenderman doesn't want a hug! He wants to kill you!"
"Fangirls should stay away from Slenderman! He doesn't want to be you lover or friend!"
Not that I agree or disagree with these claims, but here's a newsflash for you all...
SLENDERMAN IS A MYTH. AN URBAN LEGEND. Or, as I like to believe, NOT REAL.
He is a fictional character, that was originated by Victor Surge's internet meme, who only gave very little information about Slenderman. Only child abduction. Nothi

Photographs which are suspected of depicting a minor in this manner will be temporarily suspended from public view and proper legal documentation (as outlined above) will be demanded while photographs which clearly depict a minor (including toddlers, preteens, and teenagers) in this manner will be removed without notice.
