hidden by commenter BS!Noreally I don't like to be very open or opinionated when it comes to issues with DA. But I have just taken notice to something that seriously should not even be an issue! Apparently now other people can edit and hide their own comments they make on YOUR page. So let's say your trying to report someone for harassment, they can basically hide their comments to you and there is no evidence to prove they were harassing you. So therefore they can keep doing it over and over but because they can hide their own comments on your page now they can't get introuble! How messed up is that ! That is basically giving people the "OK" to do these sort of things. And because the Staff does not accept screen shots as proper evidence there is no way you can prove you are being harassed by others!hidden by commenter BS!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I have a great issue with this " hidden by commenter" bullcrap because I HAVE A RIGHT TO SEE WHAT SOMEONE HAS WRITTEN ON MY OWN PAGE!!!! Especially when I pay $7.95 every 3 months for a premium memb
Contest Journal (Apology and more prizes!)EDIT: So, one of my DA friends brought it to my attention that I was being sort of irrational yesterday The deadline will still be August 15th but it will not be cancelled. I now have four entries. I mean, I truly need a couple more but I have enough so that I can't cancel it. Thank you to everyone who has entered and even said they would enter XD I'm rather excited to see what you will all come up with.Contest Journal (Apology and more prizes!)4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Also, this friend brought to my attention that the prizes weren't really sufficient. Well, they're been updated once more. I think everyone will be very pleased ;D
-No Bases (preferably. While this contest is mainly for a design, I haven't been a huge supporter of bases lately.)
-When you finish your entry, note it to me :3
Alright, the concept is very simple. There are four seasons, right? Spring, Winter, Summer, and Fall. I want all of you to design an outfit using the concept of one of the four seasons.
Example: Florence has picked the season, Summer. Florence
Suicide.A girl in our school committed suicide 8 days before the end of the school year. Everyone went to her funeral. But when we got back to school, the other girls just continued saying things like;Suicide.4 years ago in Personal More Like This
"She was useless anyway."
"and ugly too."
"She probably just wanted attention, but she took it too far."
"Leave it to her to make that mistake, she was a stupid slut in life, and she's still one in death."
I couldn't take hearing that, so I took the guys (Because I'd rather hang out with all boys than hang out with bitched like that.) and we walked down to the office, refusing to go back to our classroom until those girls got their punishment for saying such harsh and cruel things.
What's worse is I knew the girl, she was one of the only girls I hung out with, and it was only because she was a nice, and truly honest girl. She was far better than those hoes at our school will ever be, but they drove her to that. They're supposed to be women, but the have no compassion, or love for anyone. No matt
New Pope: Gay Marriage is the Work of the DevilNew Pope: Gay Marriage is the Work of the Devil3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Here's a 2010 equalitopia article by r0b where the newly elected Pope Francis (Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio) describes gay marriage as being the work of the devil:
Argentina’s highest-ranking Catholic prelate has warned that the country’s gay marriage bill is a “machination” of the devil, reports Pink News.
Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio has called on priests in Buenos Aires, where he is archbishop, to protest against the bill, which is progressing through Argentina’s parliament.
In a letter to the monasteries of Buenos Aires, he wrote: “Let’s not be naive, we’re not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God .. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.

No one could resist the charms of this piece. It was simply too cute and too fitting not to place first!
This piece almost came in third place, and was tied for second until a couple of us changed our votes to break the tie. We loved the simplicity, sense of depth, composition, and contrast in this one!
Almost came in second, but after the changed votes broke the tie, this fabulous piece landed in third. Serious kudos to this artist for using a traditional medium for this contest!

Literature Preview Images - What Can I Use?Hello, everyone!Literature Preview Images - What Can I Use?4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Using a preview image for literature is something that can be a good creative addition to your piece.
However, there are some rules that go along with it.
What sort of things can I use for Preview images?
Preview images which were created using your own resources and your own efforts are most appropriate for use; you should not simply 'take' images which belong to other creative people without first getting their permission. Otherwise all preview images must abide by the deviantART terms of service as well as all other relevant policies.
Simply saving a random picture you found online without obtaining the artist or photographer's exact permission is against the rules of dA. More so than that, it is also unfair to the person who originally created the piece. Simply saying "I got this image from here" and providing a link.
If you didn't ask the person and they did not say yes, then please do not use the image. This could can put deviants in trouble as wel

This is my first journal entry for the Group, so first of all: howdy to all
I wanted to do something that could help you a little with drawing wolves. So I will begin with something I am familiar with in drawing - the eyes. Many of you are suprised when, for example, their blue-eyed wolves are declined from "Realistic Wolves" folder, so maybe a few words about natural wolf eye's colours for a warm-up
Most popular colour is yellowish-green or greenish-yellow which can look differenty in various light's conditions. Great example of that colour is Chetan from WolfPark:
Take a look at wonderful Orca, he's eyes have also rather pale, but more yellow than green shade and come to life in bright light:

It's really a wonderful thing for a writer to get their words out in print. Even for those of you who managed to get your work physically printed through a publishing house, it can be very difficult for an author to gather up a fanbase and receive enough advertising for their writing.
As Writers--club is a group with over ten thousand members, we would like to take a small step toward helping our rising authors.

I've noticed, time and time again, that writers seem to have problems finishing their stories. Why? Well, it's simple, really. Most of the time it is due to the writer starting with an amazing idea, and writing it down the moment it pops into their head. The problem? Once they are several chapters in, they get stuck. They don't know what to write next, or where they are going with their story. I have for you, today, a simple solution to this problem. The moment you recognize an amazing idea, before writing the first chapter, write the last chapter. The climax. The big, unexpected, plot twisting, unimaginable end.
If you start by writing the climax, then you know what it is you are building up to suddenly, before you know it, you are writing chapter after chapter, and each word, each sentence and paragraph, has meaning because you know what you are building up to. If you know where the story ends, then writing the how to get there is like clockwork.

Your art work is a form of self-expression. Every piece that you create is unique to you, I ask that you appreciate even what you think may be the worst piece ever as that (a unique piece of you).
1.) As a rule of thumb—never throw out anything that you create, no matter how bad you think it is. In some way, you have learned from it, you can look back at it later and it may serve as inspiration to recreate it with all that you have recently learned and it may be your next masterpiece. In the very least, you may look at it later on and that piece that you created and thought was so horrible will show you just how far you have really come.
2. ) Keep a folder on your computer of work that has always served to inspire you. If this work has
