The 7 Most Terrifying Archaeological DiscoveriesIndiana Jones, eat your heart out. Seriously. The 7 Most Terrifying Archaeological Discoveries2 years ago in Personal More Like This
No professional position, aside from perhaps police officer and horny pizza delivery boy, is more frequently misrepresented in film than archaeologist. In movies, archaeologists are all dashing figures, risking life and limb in the pursuit of knowledge while arcane artifacts and ancient traps besiege their efforts. Or else they're perpetually opening sealed, cursed tombs and stumbling into the haunted caves of unspeakable evils in the name of science. But in reality, we all know archaeology is nothing like that. Obviously.
It's way more terrifying.

Autism is not always a bad thing and heres why!Hello! I am writing this because I feel like wanting to reach to everyone about autism.Autism is not always a bad thing and heres why!9 months ago in Personal More Like This
I am autistic and I still stay strong. But I am getting very disappointed and angry when I read that others say autistic people are devil possessed. I am not cause I am a strong believer of God and Jesus and they are more near the brokenhearted.
Is it true and I like the way who I am. I am nice and shy despite I prefer to be alone which is a good thing. I enjoy a lot of peace and quiet to myself. Despite that I get attacked by the devil in my mind a lot but I resist that bastard. Not listening to his ugly and mean thoughts he puts in my mind. But I am speaking for all autistics and standing up to those who say mean and prejudiced stuff against people with autism.
One thing to those who are non autistic who say mean things, you don't know what is it like to have autism. What happens if you were autistic? You don't know the pain and the challenges we have to face in life. We

I have a bipolar disorder, I don't really know for how many years I've been suicidal and I lost a count in my suicidal attempts.
Don't take me wrong - I'm crazy in love with life. I love many little things - I love watching the sky at night and looking at the stars, I love when people are nice to me, I love art... if you take a closer look, there are so many things that make life worth living that you can start feeling sorry for choosing to leave.
I know for sure that this urge for walking away will stay with me for the rest of my life. Who knows how I'll end? I don't know. I don't ponder about it. I'm trying to embrace and enjoy fully every single second when I feel fine.
Sometimes it just feels like the world puts too much on your shoulders to see you fall under its weight. You will fall. You will taste the dust and blood.
But if you really, REALLY gather all your strenght, you can get up. And
How to rightly advocate for autism.-NEVER use the words ''handicap'' , ''disabled/disability'', ''illness'', ''disorder'', ''suffer from'', or any of that bullshit. How to rightly advocate for autism.5 months ago in Personal More Like This
-It's autistic. Not '' person with autism'' (please read this article to understand why: http://autismmythbusters.com/general-public/autistic-vs-people-with-autism/jim-sinclair-why-i-dislike-person-first-language/ )
-Don't support Autism Speaks
-Research your information (Read some Jim Sinclair articles, he's the best EVER advocate I've heard of this far.)
-Talk to other autistics
-Know that we are only human
-Don't try to change or cure us.
-Try to understand us (if you are not an autistic.)
If you don't do any of those things, then you fail as an advocate for autism, and I doubt I would ever want to follow you.
Also, something I needed to write this morning.

الطائر ابن لا أحد (aṭ-ṭāʾir ibn lā ʾaḥad)
"The Eagle, Son of No One"
January, 11 1165
Exactly 848 years ago a promising child was born in Masyaf.
Since his childhood his fate had been written, by loosing his father he had to grow fast, rely solely on his skills and Al Mualim's lessons. As you all now, he was betrayed by the man he always considered like a second father. But the never surrended, his temper and his stubborness brought him to becoming Grand Master of the Assassin's Order.
We want to remember him with his words:
"When I was very young, I was foolish enough to believe that our Creed would bring an end to all these conflicts. If only I had possessed the humility to say to myself, I have seen enough for one life, I've done my part. Then again, there is no greater glory than
Merry ChristmasMerry ChristmasMerry Christmas2 years ago in Personal More Like This
As you contemplate the magnitude of the “babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,” this season, we want to take a moment to wish you a Merry Christmas and reflect on the birth of the Christ Child: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will toward men.”
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.”
“And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
May you feel the peace and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ during this Christmas season.

Happy Birthday Jim, Rest In Peace John LennonDear members,Happy Birthday Jim, Rest In Peace John Lennon2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today it's a happy and sad day at the same time. Today Jim Morrison would have been 69 and John Lennon was shot dead 32 years ago.
I wrote this blog only to remember them because their songs mean everything to us. They've been the most important icons in the history of music, so... why don't you submit something about them? It's a way to say "hey you guys, we didn't forget you!".
That's all, folks. I think.

Aspie symptoms vs stereotypesIn the hopes of helping people better understand this neurological differences in our mentality and the way our brain functions, I wanted to better explain some of the stereotypes a little better to prevent Autism as being a trend or an excuse for bad behavior.Aspie symptoms vs stereotypes5 months ago in Personal More Like This
This is not necessarily a symptom of Asperger's but many Aspies can become anti-social at times when there's too many bad experiences with socializing with his or her's peers.
You need to understand that we crave social interactions too and that just because you hate society or is anti-social doesn't really make it a symptom of Asperger's.
There's other factors as in do you have trouble socializing with others ? Do you find small talk so mundane that you feel that a better topic would be something about your obsession or interests ? This dislike of small talk for me comes from the fact that I have trouble picking up cues in body language and talking about something like the we

I was different of course and was hard to control at times because I perceived the world differently and didn't understand those pesky rules of socializing. The first time I went to school I remember the teachers having to sit me down and explain why I couldn't randomly pop up from my seat or start singing or push other children out of my seat. I remember hated being told to sit in a desk as I prefer the floor ...
I didn't show the signs of being mentally delayed or anything like that, I was almost as functioning as the other children. The only difference was we didn't understand one another and the only kids who didn't have a problem with me is my two brothers and cousins because we all grew up together and they accepted my
Left 4 Delirium Left 4 Delirium - Episode 1Left 4 Delirium2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
The first episode is finally done! Left 4 Delirium is basically a crazy compilation of the antics me and the Lady face while playing L4D2. While there's a lot of videos with the same or similar set-up, we've tried adding some stuff to make it unique and stupidly hilarious. Keep an ear out for some subtle bot dialogue!
This is episode 1 of what will hopefully be a whole series of crazy videos. We're already planning what levels to do, how to get a better video and sound quality, and what horrible stuff to do to the bots next. You'll have to forgive the pixelatedness of the first video, we're hoping to improve that, as well as difficulty level later on too. Any tips or advice are welcomed.
Enjoy the show!

I just wish people would quit doing and things I've noticed...
• Bashing CPs OCs like, "UR OC IS MARY SUE SLUT!!111 GO KILL UR SELF!!!!111" and give constructive criticism instead like, "I like your character but they could be improved by exsample exsample exsample".
• When an Oc's creator sees criticism on their oc, instead of getting butt hurt to just take the criticism and thank the person for their criticism (only if it is nice and actually useful, since there is a deference between constructive criticism and just plan trolling).
• People respecting the OC's creator instead of trying to drive them out. If a character is cannonly paired with another character to respect it instead of forcing another ship on them without the creator's consent.
• If someone doesn't like a ship (ex. Jeff

Stereotypical Suicide Personal FeedbackEveryday the favorites number keeps rising. I've stayed up late past the many nights simply thinking about it all... Not so much the popularity of the poem itself, but what that means. That just maybe the realization is being made.Stereotypical Suicide Personal Feedback8 months ago in Personal More Like This
When I walked out of that classroom, the words for this poem began bubbling in my mind as I locked myself in the bathroom the rest of the time. Little things inspired me... A special set of tally marks, a number of deviants who probably know who they likely are, and even some songs such as "How To Save A Life". And I began realizing that at one point, I was kind of like that kid... Not quite as snarky and rude, but that idea. That it's "just suicide".
I learned over time that it's not simply "just suicide". That's where the stereotype begins. Where we begin to meet more and more people who are dangers to themselves, and we use the same words over and over. It's as if the same situation causes it. It's like we think they're just blind-minded people who refuse

Demonic stars wreathe my remote daze
beyond reality the illusion possesses
clinging to the corners of my brain
remembrance of the distant past
repeats itself keenly
visions of violence drown in silence
Razor Blades tap dance the floors of my mind
my bottled friend annihilates the anguish
but only for a while because there is no tomorrow
for a chaotic lifestyle
The final swallow of glassed insanity
comes without warning
the liquefied fire kisses the heart
blood will rain from every orifice
and death will no longer be an hallucination

"The painful thing is that when we buy into disapproval, we are practicing disapproval. When we buy into harshness, we are practicing harshness. The more we do it, the stronger these qualities become. How sad it is that we become so expert at causing harm to ourselves and others. The trick then is to practice gentleness and letting go. We can learn to meet whatever arises with curiosity and not make it such a big deal. Instead of struggling against the force of confusion, we could meet it and relax. When we do that, we gradually discover that clarity is always there." (Pg. 27)
"When we talk about hopelessness and death, we're talking about facing the facts. No escapism. We may still have addictions of all kinds, but we cease to believe in them as a gateway to happiness. So many

Do I need a special program?
No! Something as simple as Microsoft Paint, Paint Shop Pro or the Gimp, all of which are free, are all you need to start with pixel art. Well, that and a mouse/touchpad (and a computer ). Photoshop can be used to pixel as well, but it is costly, so unless you plan to use Photoshop for a multitude of digital media, it isn't the best investment for pixel art.
