. Mustache the Food for Men's Health Since it's Movember, and many issues of health are about food, how about we create a snack station with the theme of mustache?
We know it’s traditional for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to celebrate their awareness and fundraising efforts by throwing a Movember party at the end of the month. --- [link] Since I am not able to join the party with the Mo Bros and Sistas, I decided to make a miniature version of the party setting to celebrate the month ☺
On the table are many different pastry and dessert with mustache and eyeglasses to symbolize the signature of men. Food include mustache cakes, cookies, croissant and Mont Blanc. All food items are handmade by me with air dry clay and paper.
I hope you like it like I enjoyed making it Please double click the photo for full view
I guess this is more like Craft This Again, really.
I've been seeing this everywhere lately and I thought I may as well give it a try. Plus I needed to do a cherry pie tutorial so I killed two birds with one stone so to speak.
The one to the left was made in March 2012 and was either the third or fourth thing I had ever made from clay. I can't believe I was so unbelievably proud of it. The one to the right was made last night.
Both pies were made from polymer clay, and the pie on the right is inside a bottle cap.
Here is my entry for dA's "Draw This Again" contest! The two pancake pendants look the same from far away, but if you look closely at the details of the new version, they have improved nicely (I think! ). Some more views of the new piece: [link]
I don't have a good picture of the old one in my gallery, so I had to retake one for the meme...I hope that still qualifies! New: [link] Old: [link]
I created this sculpture/figurine for the Movember contest. This was actually the first thing to come into my mind when I saw this contest. An elegant lion with a mustache holding a cup of tea. He kept toppling over so I made him a pillow to sit on, and I think it suits him quite well. I named him Hubert. xD
Happy tenth birthday, Fella and deviantART! Thanks for being a great place to share your therapy through art
You folks that know me will know that I'm a big fan of dinosaurs, and after seeing another <ahref="[link]">dinosaur cake that has been made, I decided to make my own and document it for a tutorial. Alas, it is not as good, but it was great fun to create! I'm incredibly happy with this cake, and it's taken surely at least 7 hours of my life to create. It consists of 2 8-inch sandwich cakes with rasberry jam, loads of butter icing, malteaser eyes, chocolate chips, chocolate vermicelli, chocolate plates and fruit jelly plates. And of course, it has to be a green dinosaur! Later pics of the cake were caught at our housewarming party today. We decided to give it a piece of spare cake to nom on I've fashioned a very fetching hat for fella to enjoy it with Tin foil ftw!
If you want to make your own, check out this extensive tutorial. It's a very complex cake to make >.<
This is not stock photography. Please make your own cake and take a pic
There were a few pieces I wanted to redo, but I ended up liking this one and rolled with it. It's Chichi the chimecho gijinka! I made some minor changes to her character design but she's over all the same, just...you know, drawn better! I originally didn't think there'd be much of a difference, and granted there isn't a huge, obvious improvement (or maybe I'm just super critical of myself), but I personally feel good about it.
expect to see more of her, since I've suddenly remembered how much I liked her
It took a few days to put together, but here is the tutorial to make your own Caekosaurus Rex cake! I've worked out how much icing this baby used in total, and I must have used over a kilo of icing sugar O_o A diabetic friend did eat some of the cake, and survived to tell the tale, but don't go overdosing. Another friend that had a piece reported a sugar hangover the following morning
Alas, I didn't win anything, but I hope anyone making this cake links me to it, since that will keep me happy
The final product!
Please use and download, but please fave it if you do. A lot have work has gone into this. I hope it is informative and helpful enough to follow. Good luck!
An initial proofread was carried out, but there are still a couple of typos I'll sort out.
Not to be redistributed. Please make your own tutorial if you want to redistribute it elsewhere!
