Still need to fix the nose and do some touch-ups in the detailing, but I'm happy that this thing all came together considering what I had to work with! The hide seemed okay at first, but as I began test fitting it on the form, I noticed that several holes and tears were appearing out of nowhere. Part of the lip started to shred like wet newsprint. I realized then that it had acid rot, and I am not afraid to admit that I actually cried when I thought that it would be impossible to save it, especially since this is hands-down the most gorgeous bear I've ever had my hands on.

So I worked fast and used a lot of pins. The result is what you see above.

For those wondering, this bear was shot by a police officer in Colorado. I don’t know the exact story, but I assume he was too close to civilization and was thus deemed a threat. Colorado doesn't mess around with their problem bears, unlike Oregon (where bears were only a bit less common than deer on my old college campus).

It really is a beautiful specimen - probably the most gorgeous I’ve ever worked with. He’s a black bear, but is actually dark brown in color, and each of his hairs is tipped in gold. He’s also got a golden stripe down his spine and a white blaze on his chest.

The man who commissioned the headdress wanted it to have ‘blind’ eyes, so I used specially-made opalite glass, which has been backed in foil. They are now reflective in low light, and change color from milky blue to pale orange.

Don't like taxidermy? Don't look.

Disrespectful or immature comments regarding hunting, taxidermy, or the use of real animal parts will be ignored. This wolf was legally taken in Canada where wolves are not endangered.

My third wolf mount, a pedestal on a snowy rock base. The backing is pigskin suede with a gold braid, and the base is an artificial foam rock with a dusting of artificial snow and some pine cones.

Again, I had lots of issues with this since I'm still a beginner, but it's much better than my first and second wolves. I improved on quite a few things and after this mount know what I need to work on to make the next better. This one will be used as a showroom piece. Critique is still always appreciated.

I'm excited to tackle some deep snow now and see if I can get that to look realistic. This was my first experiment with the artificial snow.

Species: Vulpes vulpes
Length: 124cm
Origin: legally hunted in Germany

Info: I bought this fox at a Trade Fair for a pretty penny but I am extremely happy with it. Lovely thick winter coat, awesome coloration and an adorable front paw. Not to mention the perfect ears! It is called 'Lehti' (suomi for 'foliage').

A nice piece of artwork, based on this pelt!

Offering this big GORGEOUS Fire and Ice fox for a Traditional Lifesize or Soft Mount commission!
This gal has no black on her whatso ever! Because of the 'fire factor' gene, all the black has been replaced with a lovely shade of grey.

Pictured eyes will be the eyes I will be using. They will be completely custom ordered from Tohickon (I just photoshopped those eyes to show what they will look like)

I paid a pretty penny for the pelt itself, so price of the completed mount will not be cheap.

Soft Mount price: $750 shipped
Traditional Lifesize price: $850 shipped

I accept Paypal only.

U.S. buyers in the lower 48 only (shipping prices can get stupid for AK or HI destinations)
Unless you can have someone legally ship to you if you're in Canada or overseas.

Current turn-around time is:
Soft mount: 2-3 months
lifesize: 4-6 months
(turn around times may be affected by how quickly supplies are shipped to me)

If commissioning it as a lifesized mount, details will be worked out once I get pelt measurements and locate appropriately sized forms (pose selection will be limited due to form size limitations)

For some examples of my work, go here [link]

If she doesn't sell within 2 weeks, I will Lifesize her myself and put her up on Ebay.

Snow Glow fox: Fire Factor Gene at its most Finist!!! This fox is a very pale White with light colicott hightlights around the neck, chin and belly, all paws, ears and tail are colicott colored. Absolutly Beautiful Fox!

If it wasnt for fur farms, this fox would never even exsist out in the wild. i cant see making these beautiful colors go exstinct like so many others!

-I've recently just learned how to make collages online, and I'll probably be doing this for most of my pelts. I'm sorry the picture isn't the best for this boy, the weather has been terrible and I haven't been able to take him outside. That and anywhere else in the house has either blue or green carpeting xD And I don't think he'd settle to well on that.

Anyway, Haytham I've actually had for quite some time, however I've just never gotten around to taking pictures of him. As of recently the boy didn't even have a name. I saw him on an auction online and I had to have him. I didn't even intend to really find him, it was just one of those 'oh look' moments that I stumbled upon his bid. So needless to say that when the auction drew near, I got no sleep and wouldn't leave my computer. I was thrilled when I found out that I won him, and that he was complete with all four paws, eyelids, and lipline. His lips aren't the thickest, but I was told he was taxidermy quality, however I'm not to terribly sure, though I will keep him listed as such. He is not the softest yote, and in fact rather course, however, he's very slick and smooth when stroked with how his fur falls. He is a brindle morph, one of the few I have actually come across. I think I've only seen two others like him, and he's got the boldest markings. There will be more pictures of him to come, and hopefully I can figure out a project on what to do with him :3

This beautiful old guy belongs to a client of mine. A dog/Wolf Hybrid. To date he is the BIGGEST Dog I've worked on. Easily 7' from nose to tip of tail. Died of natural causes. Can't wait until the client can take him home.

Just wanted to show off one of my Cross Fox pelts! He's quite a large boy and has amazingly soft and silky fur.

As always, please no rude comments, I treat all of my furs and animal parts with the greatest of respect.
