Chapter 2: Technical Malfunction
With a black mug of hot cocoa in his hand, Dr. Alexander Gromov sat on his bed, his respirator and mask resting on a nearby desk. He felt terribly exhausted but content, feeding on the satisfaction of having successfully finished the flying machine. Working day and night for the past few days had strained him to no end, and even though he'd had a full night sleep, his head ached horribly. But he would finally get some time to relax now. With a sigh he ran his hands over his face, wiping away any excess weariness.
Snippy and Pilot weren't around and the engineer felt glad about their absence, welcoming every second of soothing silence that came as a result of nobody arguing in the background about every little thing.
As he had finished his cocoa, he set the mug down, got up from the bed and stretched his back

Chapter 1: Engie's Masterpiece
It must have been a little over three months ago that Captain gave Engie the order to build a flying machine. Initially the Russian engineer objected to taking on such a seemingly impossible task, but finally agreed to after Pilot incessantly heckled him to the brink of insanity.
Doctor Gromov needed parts before he could begin constructing "the most glorious flying machine," as Captain put it, so all throughout the months that followed he requested the other two minions to fetch him various scraps to aid in the completion of his project. Every part on the list was successfully retrieved sooner or later, depending on how long it took to coerce reluctant Snippy into getting dragged along on a search.
Every time the sniper was told to go scavenge the wasteland with Pilot, he acted stubbornly. He was persistent in

He had happened upon the room by pure chance. The Captain's disappearance had put the Engineer on edge. That man was the key to his survival and it was only a matter of time before some hazard of the wasteland would claim his life. Surprisingly it just took a few hours to locate him and Gromov was sure it was only because of the luck that Captain seemed to rub off onto others. He found Captain holed up in a mostly collapsed building, the only part that remained intact was a small dark room. Breathing a sigh of relief he was about to enter the room to reprimand the man for disappearing without a trace for days but stopped, his boot hovering just over the threshold. Captain's purple lenses glinted from the darkness. Gromov backed away. He never entered the room.
And Captain never left.
The engineer left the man alone; he had hope that eventually Captain would come out on his own. Each day Gromov would come to the room but the Captain never moved from that spot. How t

Chapter 3: You shoe
The noise led Sniper to another pile of broken steel and branches, but something seemed different.
After scrutinizing the mess, all his alarm bells suddenly rang as he spotted an arm sticking out from below the steel wing. Intuitively he started to push a heavy branch off the top, then he proceeded to heave the massive steel wing, revealing a prone form underneath.
Snippy dropped the large wing near the aviator and knelt down beside him to search for injuries, fearing the worst. After coughing a few times, Pilot shifted slowly and groaned.
“Hey man, are you alright?” Charles checked with his comrade, and helped him turn over so he could sit against the side of the wing.
“My leg... It hurts so much... and my left shoulder is- aaauugh!” the aviator suddenly cried.
It seemed that Snippy had touched a sore spot in his ministrat

Hey folks! It is now 6pm. You know what that means. It is interview time! Let us begin.
Here is how the interview works: You can all ask questions and chat freely in the chatroom called AtAChat. I will be copy-pasting your questions to Alexiuss and he will answer them in live time in ATAInterview.
We conduct the interview this way to avoid having the artist spammed with too many questions all at once, and to reduce text clutter so that you can all read the artist's responses to the questions.
A special thank you goes out to our lovely mods, ~Melancholy-Minds and ~Twilight-Zero!
Please be aware that we do our best to get as many questions answered as possible, however, if we do not choose your question to send to the artist, please do not be offended. It does not mean it was not a good question. It is just not possible for the artist to answer all questions. Thank you for your understanding.

Misfortune always strikes in the most unexpected moments - and it doesn't take vacations.
It was one of those days when everything went wrong that could possibly go wrong.
It happened as Engie and Pilot were roaming through one of the lesser devastated, dark building of the city, with Snippy in the lead.
Rummaging through all the things he found along the way and held what he considered might be useful in the future in his hands, Engie almost forgot about his surroundings until he heard a cracking noise that was followed by a scream.
“God-fucking-damn-it!!” he heard Snippy groan.
Pilot secured the engineer's back as they followed the sound of the marksman's voice to his location.
As they reached their comrade, Engie stood frozen in place, the things he had been carrying clattering to the floor. The sniper's left leg had submerged in a hole

"The little things are immensely significant in a story.
The subtle details that register in our subconscious first and trigger our emotions,
just to leave us feeling overwhelmed, are what make it unforgettable."
A sting in the shoulder and another in the side of his leg tiny but effective and the sniper lost sentience over his body and collapsed.
Swirling colors of dark red and orange morphed into the flames of a furious conflagration raging on around him as

"I hear Pripyat is pleasant this time of year."
Sniper stood watch, just outside the old travel agency building. Aside from somehow withstanding the rest of the block collapsing around it, the shop was impressive for having reasonably preserved brochures. Captain and Pilot would often amuse themselves by planning trips to countries that no longer existed, and Engineer would gather what they discarded for kindling. Whenever Sniper grew sufficiently bored, he'd call out with something he thought was witty.
It was a bit like that, being on watch; you'd either say something funny and die knowing your sense of humour was too good for this world, or you'd say nothing and die without validating your ego.
"Actually," Engineer spoke up from the Visit Asia section, a finger tracing over dusty advertisements as he moved along the aisle, "One of the last GOOD directorate broadcasts sent out was a list of anomalies brought on by the apocalypse, and apparently Chernobyl became the least radiated pla

summary:As a light sleeper, Engie has plenty of time to observe and wonder over his crewmates´ sleeping habits. His observations leave him a bit grumpy, but Pilot is already working to find a solution ...
Maybe it is because he could never get enough sleep when Annet was still sending. Maybe it is because even the reality of post apocalyptic life is not as dreadful as his nightmares back then were. When Charles Snippy is asleep, he could as well be dead. The engineer is sure that even a rifle fired next to the sniper could not wake him up. Of course this is beneficial to Captain´s and Pilot´s habit of pulling pranks on Snippy. Gromov clearly remembers the day the tour guide woke up dressed in a pink rabbit costume because Captain wanted him to replace the Easter Bunny, claiming the real one had been abducted by aliens...
Captain, on the other hand, rarely sleeps.

Chapter 2: Take Back
Stan strode around the room, checking the magazine of the rifle that he had stolen from Snippy earlier.
"Hehe... it's still full," he mentioned and deftly spun it around in his hand as if weighed only half of what it actually did. "Which means there's plenty of bullets for all of you. Isn't that great?"
With agile hands he shoved the magazine back in and readied the gun to shoot.
"The boss told me to kill your captain last. So... which of you two morons wants to die first?"
Engie shifted around nervously while Pilot kept throwing quick glances over to the chair.
"You look pretty scared, fatty," Stan chuckled and stared down at the engineer. "But don't worry, I'll make it quick for you."
As the rifle was pointed at him, Alexander yelped and huddled up against the wall in fright.

It had survived things that no mug should have had to endure.
It had been dropped off cliffs, plunged into radioactive water, used to hold questionable substances and once travelled several hundred kilometres after Pilot tied a helium balloon to it. It had been thrown at Snippy countless times. It had suffered the indignity of being sat on by Engie after the Captain left it lying on a chair.
It had never been washed in its life.
But in the end, all it took was one little nudge, and the mug the great, glorious mug was reduced to a few shards of broken ceramic and a spatter of sad-looking tea.
It happened like this:

Having a grown man leap on top of you in the ungodly hours of the morning is hardly the most pleasant way to wake up.... as Charles Snippy now knew from first-hand experience.
"What," he gasped, winded, shoving Pilot off his chest, "are you doing?!"
Pilot let out an infernal screech as he tried to clamber further onto the couch and further onto Snippy, his arms and legs wrapping around the sniper like a monkey.
"Run, Snippy!" he screeched. "Run for your life!"
"Run from what?!" All traces of sleepiness now gone, Snippy attempted to prise Pilot off him, but the other had a grip of steel and was clinging like a limpet.
"It'll eat us alive!" Pilot wailed. "It'll lay eggs in us and they'll hatch out of our eyeballs!"
"What are you talking about?!" Snippy asked irritably, turning his face away as Pilot began waving his hands madly about. "Stop squirming around! Get off me!"
Finally seeming to calm himself down, Pilot crawled off Sni

The very first rays of the rising sun pierced through the clouds of radioactive dust, painting the sky purple and pink. Captain loved these colors. All the citizens of the magnificent Captania seemed to love them too... Well, except for the lazy ones, who were still asleep.
Missing the view of the capital waking up after the nuclear night was an unacceptable waste. Every little being that lived in the Dead City wanted to rise and shine for Zee Captain. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming, zombies were going for their daily walks. All creatures great and small tried to please him by performing their duties at this early hour.
Only his three minions were sleeping, instead of being useful.
And Captain really didn't like useless things.
He decided to take care of this problem immediately. But the question was, which minion should be given the honor of being woken up by their beloved leader first?
Engie? He was the new recruit in this glorious army. The g
