It's a Japanese Style swiss roll cake; it uses meringue instead of self raising flour as a raising agent, and is therefore more like a sweet omelet. A tasty sweet omelet. ;u; It has strawberry jam inside and fresh strawberries too (I don't like whipped cream and buttercream would be too... idk... stodgy? eue)
So I piped the design on the wrong way round but you know... at least I know for next time. xD
I just used chocolate batter to outline a Mamashiba drawing. :3 Sorry you can't see it all, again, I piped it on the wrong way.
The batter was really sticky and I didn't have a disposable piping bag, and I feared my reusable one was just a bit too big to use for such a small amount of batter, but I could always try next time. I had to use a sandwich bag instead, which wasn't great, but at least I outlined the Mamashiba. ;u;
I didn't want to be too ambitious for my first try so I didn't colour it in. ;w; It's a colourless Mamashiba. eue
I'm pretty proud of it; though the mouth came off so I had to write it back on using an edible-ink pen. ouo
And yeah. That's what I did today because I had the day off. School tomorrow though. ;//A//; So I'll be busy again. I'm hoping I can squish that last commission in somewhere though. >w< The recipe was Kumigar's: [link] but I don't recommend whipping the egg whites over hot water. My first egg white curdled so I used one less egg white than I was meant to. But I'm not sure I should use any more next time than I did this time. owo
