Maizy still seemed a bit down about Maroon for a few days, but she was the sort of person who would smile and tell jokes no matter how miserable she felt inside. Me and Violet were doing our best to keep her mind off it. Violet was going for the ‘lots of hugs’ approach, whereas I was going for the more practical route of reminding her that her education was important.
Whilst on break one day we had an unusual visitor at the table we usually sit at
“Hey girls!” It was Noire. She sat down next to me, with Maizy and Violet opposite me.
“Hey Noire… How’s it going?” Maizy said uncertainly. In truth, we were all a little afraid of Noire. When we were younger, this tall, strong beast of a girl used to give us a hard time. Since high school, she seemed to have found better things to do than bully the quiet girls, but we still felt a little jumpy around her.
“Alright, as you all know its Halloween coming soon.” She was lo

"We all did."They all mourn. Just in different ways.
There is a bloodstain on the wall.
None of them ever mention it or show any sign of letting it dwell in their thoughts, but Fury has noticedwith his 'good eye' as Stark likes to refer to it asthat there are a few rare moments just before a mission when they can be found gathered around the mark they refuse to let anyone clean away, and one or two of them at a time can be found giving it more than just a passing glance as they wander by it, fingers outstretched and tips barely brushing the surface.
The stain marks more than another casualty of battleit is a moment of triumph, of death; it is where, separate as they were, they became a team, where they found something (no, someone) to avenge. It is where they go on their own to collect their thoughts, looking into the empty void before them (th

You have watched me dance
a thousand times
my skirt twirling
like the sleek serpent
lost in your garden.
I watch your eyes
suck the light
from the candles
every time I move,
your fingers keeping time
with the coins
that dress my hips
and I know you are a master
of making dreams
Tonight I dance
just for you
and through half-closed eyes
I watch you push me
against the cushions
where my hair
pleads with your bare chest
and I bear your love
on my wrists and ankles,
each thrust false witness
on my mother's lips.
Oh, you know
this will cost more
than the gold
in your coffers
or all the spices
and your slave girls
will talk for months
only warms your legend
in their eyes.
Your hands have offered
any price for grace
but all I ask
you bring me his head.
In MemoryThe Flash stood in the fake greenery of the Watchtower. Three holographic statues surrounded him. Three dead heroes. There was one pillar at his feet, yet to be activated. It was for the first Kid Flash, and the only Wally West he ever wanted to know. The speedster pulled down his cowl, he couldn’t turn on the platform as a hero, he had to do it as a loving family member. In Memory3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Batman ghosted into the room, effectively scaring the bejezus out of Barry. The big bat put a hand on his colleague’s shoulder. “Turn it on, Barry.”
The blonde shook his head, “I can’t. It just doesn’t feel right.”
“How so?” Batman pondered.
“We’ve had death scares before. Artemis was just undercover. I was just stuck in the Speed Force. Clark was just in another dimension. How do we know he isn’t dead?” Barry was about ready to pull his hair out.
“Barry, we saw him disappear before our eyes. He’s gone,” Batman tried

I imagined Her birds, flying into that bask of light.
Hell, if I wasn't on duty, or in the UNSC's military power... I definately enjoy Her bask of glory.
But not just me who's gonna be with me... I want all of Noble Team to see this magnificent beauty.
Also, minus this hellish war. The Covenant, the destruction, and everything that that religious group of aliens they brought upon.
But there's nothing that could be done. I wish that I just could reverse time before the Covanent attacked Reach, but I cannot change physics of space, and time.
Everything has been done.
The attacks of both Inner and Outer Colonies, the deaths of millions that the Covenant has committed, and...
The deaths of my Spartan brothers and sisters.
Especially the deaths of Noble Team.
My heart still aches because of this...

The channels flipped by faster than any human eye could perceive and still there was nothing on. Tommy Shepherd was bored, and despite himself, lonely. The city had been either unnaturally quiet for the last few days, or the Avengers had really been on their game. His team had been catching up on their actual lives and was taking this respite as a sort of 'break'. Kate and Cassie were spending this time rekindling their relationships with family or at least trying to rekindle. Cassie was still having a rough time with her step-dad, but efforts on both parts were moving them forward if only a little. Billy and Teddy had been inseparable jumping on this as a chance to go on normal dates and just be together like normal gay teens did in their normal gay lives. Vision spent his time either with Cassie or the Avengers. Tommy, who had no 'normal' life, an

They could not break my wall of silence and my incapability to show my affections made them itch until festered wounds appeared in their determination. The golden dragon stared from his high perch; mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the new day. The amber colored sun glistened over the golden sky to cascade a warming embrace over the plains of vibrant green that lay strewn before him. The dragon smiled. His scales rustled while it basked in the comforting warmth. His happiness manifested into a soft, rumbling purr.
The golden city of Haburh lay behind him in the distance. The city itself was nestled at the fork of a great river that was made of pure silver. These lands were special and for many reasons; the most being that humans and metallic dragons lived amongst each other in a peaceful co-existence. This peace did not always use to be however.
The golden dragon dipped his head slightly in remorse. Even among the sounds of bustling crowds and beating wings; his mind fixated itself on a single moment of his past that haunts him even to this day. He closed his eyes. The elegant winds blew among his glittering sca

In calm seas lay the some of the most beautiful and powerful creatures in the world. In the sea there are no limitations only freedom. Evolution in the sea has reached its peak with one of its most feared predators; the Great White Shark. As graceful and beautiful as this mighty fish is, it is a predator; one of the greats at that. It is an unstoppable killing machine, preying on anything that it can catch. It, unlike its far less picky cousin the Tiger Shark, is what I'd like to call a curious eater. The Great White likes to taste a little bit of everything to see if it tastes good. If it likes it, then it has its next meal, if not then whatever is left of the poor soul is left for dead.
The shark that bit me didn't like me very much. Perhaps I was too scrawny or maybe I was really so unappealing that not even a blood thirsty shark would want me. Whatever the case, the monster left me with half of my intestines and five broken ribs. The doctors said that it was a miracle that I surviv

Insult my intelligence.

The girl you see in the mirror,
Is the one fighting back at you.
I may not be the prettiest,
Or the smartest girl you know.
But I love who I am,
And the women I have become.
I have grown stronger,
Thanks to those closest to me.
They saw the jewel under all the dust,
And polished me until I gleamed.
I owe all that I am ,
To my best friends.
They are like my own personal family,
One that shall never be forgotten.
I won’t let you insult them,
I won’t let you call them names.
I will stand up for them,
Because I am a stronger women.

I guess I never did realize it.
You have always been there for me,
Like a loyal knight serving his queen.
You befriended me,
When I felt
That I was all alone.
And helped me stay alive.
You supported me,
When I thought and believed
That I was no good.
And train with me to gain strength.
You gave me faith,
When I was given a new home,
That I did not think that I deserved.
And never forgot the bond we forged.
You risked your life for me,
When mine was about to be declared over.
That moment when I thought "This is it,"
You caught me and carried me to safety.
I owe my life to you,
In so many different ways.
Without you I would not be here,
Telling you all this.
Despite our social standings,
You will always have a place
In this noble heart of mine
That can never be forgotten.
You are my knight,
One who has devoted his heart and soul,
To the queen he loves,
And will stay strong to keep her safe.
Right now the world does not know,
About the feelings between us.

It's just a defence.
It's just a cover up, a wall to separate you from everybody else. It's just a veil to block out what's real, what's important.
Your eyes see everything except the obvious. Your mind picks up on everyone else's thoughts and feelings but not your own. You've locked them away in a safe at the back of your ingenious brain, never to be opened. It has a rusted lock. You claim not to have a heart because those with emotion are weak, you say.
Although it really just makes them stronger.
You see everything, but you see nothing at all. You are as blind as them. You know nothing.
You do not want to.
You do not want to because you feel fear.
It's just a distraction.
It's just a word.
