Last chance for YJ toys!Just a heads up to all you Young Justice fans out there, Matty-Collector is offering one last opportunity for us to all get our hands on brand new YJ figures, specifically Miss Martian and Superboy in his Season 2 outfit. If there are enough pre-orders they will ship the toys, if not we get a refund, which I will then spend on booze so I can drink away the pain of never getting a Miss Martian figure.Last chance for YJ toys!1 year ago in Personal More Like This

NEXT PIECE I'M WORKING ON!PROGRESS 3/6/2013 8:30 am PhilippinesNEXT PIECE I'M WORKING ON!9 months ago in Personal More Like This
I spent so little time on finishing this piece. Had to make money first, hehe. But here's what I've added.
I have to learn to be fast. I think I am really working with this piece very slow.
Nephew and nieces stormed the workplace.
Will take a rest for a while.
I left this piece untouched for more than one and a half days, I am working on it right now and made little changes.
UPDATE!!! I started late today so, so far, here's what I have...
New piece I'm working on...

*cat pounces on my bed*
AHHHH I'm up! I'm up!
*scratches eyes and goes back to sleep*
Hello August! Even if July has drained so much of my energy, I don't miss what you have in store for us this year! The first few weeks I've done a lot of cleaning and spent some selfie-times at home before I started on the big projects.
Like cleaning my room..
buying new books..
reading new/old comics..
And spending time with friends (that has nothing to do with cosplays)~!
Then the projects starts. A month ago I was invited by a couple of friends if I could join them in their group for a photoshoot. I was only familiar with the name of the series, never really watched it until they showed me the character they had in mind for me. Again, my research about this character grew on me and I into it.
Her name is Karako Koshio, another dark-skinned fatal femme with a knack for close-combat skills. She
Justice League: The Flashpoint ParadoxOver the last few months I have been getting a lot of questions here on DA about what my next project would be and when it might be announced and released. Also, I am thrilled to say, that a lot of you awesome friends and fans have expressed the idea that following Young Justice, you would like to see more DC animation work from me. Well I am happy to reveal that the next project featuring my design work is the recently announced Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, directed by the super talented Jay Oliva, and it will hit the streets on July 30th. I did the designs for this film last spring and summer (after production wrapped on YJ: Invasion) and we just finished post production on the project last month. I gotta say that thanks to all the tremendous talent involved in making this thing, it's looking pretty epic. I personally pushed my style into a slightly more exaggerated look for much of this film and I hope those of you who dug the look of Young Justice will get a kick out ofJustice League: The Flashpoint Paradox7 months ago in Personal More Like This
Dragons 2 and San Diego ComiconFirst off, here's the official teaser trailer for the sequel of "How To Train Your Dragon":Dragons 2 and San Diego Comicon5 months ago in Personal More Like This
If you want to see it on the big screen and in 3D, it should play in front of Turbo, opening next week.
I should be at the San Diego comicon next week, from Wednesday to Saturday (will be absent on Sunday). This year, I'll be hanging around the Gallery Nucleus booth, in a new location in the hall: booth 2743, close to IDW and Image Comics. We'll have great guests at the table:

And a few more surprises!
(nothing from me, unfortunately, but do drop by to say hello!)

This is the link to my first AMV that I have put up on Youtube. I am going to make one for Assassin's Creed 4 but I can't seem to find a song that works well with Edward. If anyone has any ideas please leave a comment.
How To Give Better Comment - (Edited Version)Ever wanted to know the key in giving better comments? Tired of your ordinary short phrases that go no where, and have no point? How To Give Better Comments
During our visit here at deviantART, upon submitting our deviations, what is expected next? Comments! However, here's a little fun past-time activity: take all the excellent, if not better, deviations comments in your gallery. Now take a look at all the deviation comments you've ever received. You will notice that good comments don't happen as often as they should. Although we all want good comments and to be better commenters ourselves, we have to act upon it instead of just sitting around and hoping to receiving nice comments after submitting something. Give, to receive.
Here I show you the basic concept of commenting, to make yourself a better commenter; and I don't mean being a 'good' commenter since everyone comments in his or her own way. That i

'Life Drawing 5' by ~algaegoblin
Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi
PatOv: Pattern Overlay techniquePatOv comes from Pattern Overlay and is the awkward name I chose for a GIMP technique I came up with some time ago. Well it can't be worst than SAPALO anyway (sample and paint at low opacity)PatOv: Pattern Overlay technique10 months ago in Personal More Like This
It basically means using GIMP Clone Tool and patterns for painting details and textures over an existing image. The "overlay" in the name means that we will use a layer blending mode for adding those details, and since Overlay is the one I use the most, I also used it for the name of the technique.
This is how I usually work, from the creation of the pattern to its usage.
1. Texture Hunting
Looking for textures is a very interesting activity; nowadays there are some cell phones with cameras being good enough for shooting great macro photos, and since we always bring our cell phone with us we can always capture an interesting texture. Here is an interesting texture I discovered a while ago:
2. Creating the pattern
This image has many parts that could become a great pattern, and I'l

The week started off with two activities in one. We celebrated another friend's birthday for dinner, it's been such a long time since we've seen her and it was heartwarming to share awesome food together w/ similar friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY dycee!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/kasai16/web%20blogs/01.jpg
After dinner, I headed off to another mall to meet up with my favorite girlfriends :iconmistressBLACK: :iconmicahmidnight: :iconsuigeneres: :iconmoonlightflight: and :iconflamable77: to watch Pixar's new Disney movie called BRAVE!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/kasai16/web%20blogs/02bb.jpg And like last month where I watched Snow white w/ my boyfriend, I was also dressed for this occasion: http://lookbook.nu/look/3973472-Be-Brave The movie was too awesome for words!! One of the best I've seen of Pixar's, which made me laugh and cry buckets at the same time! And because of that, I got hooked! There was one thing I wanted to do aft
SEPT. nostalgic encountersCan I just say Nostalgia? Nostalgia! Nostalgia! This month's events brought a lot of nostalgic memories indeed! Here's a preview why:SEPT. nostalgic encounters2 months ago in Personal More Like This
But before that, lemme share with you the actual first activity I've done. Normally I don't favor cosplayers looking to get hired for such parties, to avoid the misconceptions of a cosplayer and/or a mascot. But I do support the idea only if the client's request is relevant to what we do.
Like this children's party for example. It was decorated in a freaky fabulous Monster High theme from the moment you stepped foot at the entrance! The celebrant obviously is a big fan and her parents gave her everything clawsome: yummy ghoulish cookies, a monsteriffic stage drop, photo booths and even got a single ghoul like me to grace the event even if they already hired a mascot for it. Awwwwww!
I enjoyed watching the kids awe at my furry ears (they even asked me if I'd turn back to a normal girl when the full moon disappears), play-pretend
Prints Tips: Cropping and the Bleed EdgeHello, everybody! I'm $renonevada. For those that don't know, one of my jobs here at deviantART HQ is as quality control for prints. I look at every print before it is purchased for the first time to make sure that it will print properly. Some of the things I look out for are copyright infringement, cropping, pixelation, and to make sure it doesn't violate other policies, such as being too pornographic.Prints Tips: Cropping and the Bleed Edge4 months ago in Personal More Like This
I plan on making a series of journals explaining how to make sure your prints will be approved when they get to me. I know that I'm excited to see the notification letting me know a print has been sold and I want to do what I can to make sure you all see it, as well.
For this journal, I want to speak about Cropping and the Bleed Edge.
This is hands down the number 1 reason why I am forced to reject a print, which in turn will cancel a sale. Because of this, I have tried to make this journal as detailed as possible.
The Bleed Edge is the v

I'm a regular reader of Escher Girls, so when I read the latest post this morning, I was deeply concerned. The following post was submitted to Eschergirls and was not made by me. The artist is Selkiesiun
I DID NOT DRAW THIS PICTURE. :iconselkiesiun: DID. THIS IS A QUOTE OF HER EXPERIENCES.
I AM ONLY RELAYING THE INFORMATION.
Selkiesiun submitted to Eschergirls:
