I like doing these fast creatures - 3 hours on this one - and see what I can achieve in a short time. It keeps me on edge and active.

I hope to start Monsters By Email this year (perhaps very soon) and while those creatures take substantially longer, and are more thoroughly designed, it is good practice doing quick creatures now and then.

Another creature concept "sketch" (4 hours) for a project I was temporarily part of. (Can't say which one).
The creature originates from the sea.

An ad for MonstersByEmail.com. Check it out!

(I used the most popular of the MonstersByEmail sample creatures, the Michilaft, as inspiration for this one. Perhaps creatures of the same family?)
