TUMBLR ARTBLOG <-- that is where I post these. You'll find more studies under the "protip" tag.

For you who follow my tumblr, this isn't new stuff. But I guess it might be a good idea to start sharing my studies with ppl on dA as well.
I have a lot more to show you, I'll prob upload next dump tomorrow.

TUMBLR ARTBLOG

Technically not a "tutorial" other than a bunch of art studies smacked together. But you guys seems to like this stuff so..

I think there will be a third dump as well.
And yes that is Mike Chilton at the bottom of the deviation.

Finally this is made.

I felt this is sort of important to mention, next part will be about body types and so on.

Now I really need to rush to the train home!!!!

This is a little bonus with all the stuff I couldn't fit in the first part of Understanding Anatomy:

This is just a plain guide over the 8-head measurement which is commonly used in art. Many of you asked me about drawing shorter people and kids, wondering if they also had a 8-head ratio.

This is the answer (no babies don't have 8 heads).

I especially thank :iconsomarlidr: for the information about the ratio of the spine. I wouldn't have noticed this if it weren't for you

This is a little extension for the first part on the "Manga to Realistic"-series of tutorials. ----->

I thought that I should've covered how the face looks in profile, since many who draw manga tend to place the eyes too deep in the skull.

Sorry for the overworked and over-analyzed grid over the head, the ones to the right is probably easiest to follow.

This definitely is not one of my best ones. I feel kinda lost here. Ugh. I hope I made some sort of sence.

I recommend this tutorial which covers the feet way better than I did: [link]

Omg I seriously started working on this at 3PM and finished it at 01:30AM today. This is probably one of the most time consumed parts I've done. AND YES THERE WILL BE GRAMMAR/SPELL ERRORS I DON'T CARE ATM I NEED TO SLEEP :''''''D

Yes I know, I should finish these and submit them when I'm not extremely tired and should get some sleep... but I just can't resist ;__;

and yeah, it really REALLY feels like I've missed 1236973619734 other things I should've mentioned in this part.

Guh I just hope you guys will get something out of it.

.... GAAAAH I FORGOT THE FREAKING SPINE....

okay I'm going to bed now.

Feel like all my rabblings about cubes confuse you? then you maybe should check out this BASIC tutorial about perspective for beginners: by :iconshattered-earth:

As always I finish these tutorials around 5 AM in the morning haha. Enjoy everyone, this one does not cover muscles and such. But I feel this is still a very important area you should consider practicing on. When I started thinking with cubes, my anatomy improved A LOT.
