If the earth was a tree,
Then the sky would be the canopy
Clouds would be the leaves,
Varied, unique, and free
The aurora of evening and dawn
Would be like the Autumn Yawn.
Silver stars would be the seed
Sparkling ice, our reach they exceed.
Wind caresses the graceful boughs
Greatly moved, it shakes and bows
Diamond tears break off and fall to the dust
Borrows deep into the earth's crust
Long white tendrils will burst forth
Like streams of milk, they grow
Not in a forest, where all can see
Where the water flows abundantly
In the desert, is where this magic does mature
Most unlikely of places, no doubt, obscure
Tiny limbs, scrubby surface, unseemly at best
When compared to the parents of beauty blessed
Formed gently of tender sadness and love
Made when tears had fallen from above
One would never guess, at the story behind
The stars from eyes; the tree is blind
Hark! There, they watched them fall
In the wasteland, abandoned by all.
Men saw the shrubby little plant

Remembering your words
Remembering your tears
Remembering my life
my world, your love, your smile,
You said I'd be in your heart.
You said you'd never forget
All what I gave, all what I did.
All what we shared.
The wind blows and it seems that nothing happened
The sun calls and nobody answers
The birds sing and nobody hears.
The whole sky waited for us
But you never tried.
You never saw,
You never screamed.
You never fought.
I'd never quit.
I wish my name didn't disappear from your lips.
I hope you still think of my eyes.
I hope my strokes still live on your cheeks.
I hope you miss
my hands, my chest, my hair, my laugh.
Remember me when you need a soul,
A friend, a man, a heart, a love.
No more letters to read,
No more songs,
No more games, no more jokes.
Just you and your walls,
Your pride, your noes.
An unfinished poem that nobody wrote
Or a beautiful story I wanted to draw.
The prayer neve

The room was dark, yet ever slightly glowing with the pale gaze of the moon, peeping through the blinds on the hospital windows. David laid in his bed...looking up at the ceiling, tears began to ascend from beneath his eyes as he came to realize that this would be the last warm bed that his body would ever lay in...Though he looked forward to Heaven, he dreaded the fact that he wouldn't be able to say goodbye one last time or even see them.
He then looked up to the heart monitor, and then to the dim lights from the other side of the door to his room. He looked all over and around his last room. There was nothing to be seen or heard by David that would've brought him any sort of comfort. He was emotionally desolate...His eyes winced as he felt the urge to cough. The beads on his rosary gave languid clatter as he lifted his hand to his mouth. His lungs gave a wretched bellow, and he quickly lost control as blood found its way to his hand, painting the wooden rosary with

When will the cloud in my head clear?
Stuck in the middle of a messy riddle.
Tongue twisters told me not to toy with my mind.
I have already wasted a thousand years and said sorry a million times.
Chasing you became a constant dream,
Waking up to find myself alone again.
Teary mattress covers over me.
Feels like Water board, feels like youre torturing me.
Waiting foolishly in the wind because this is meant to be.
Waiting childishly in the rain because you are what I need.
What day is today? Ive lost count in my misery.
Tick tock, the clock replaces the rhythm my heart once beat.
Now its a hollow space inviting dark thoughts and sinister dreams.
While I sleep I feel you kiss, but see your blood soaked teeth.
The night must have begun the loop has somehow started again.
Every day it gets worse I lose a parts of me.
I open my eye to find out that I cant even see.
God as muted the world, for me its such a bliss.
Never feel so good to feel no more.

We all have them eventually.
That person you can tell everything to.
That person you can trust...
The one who excepts you for you.
The one who doesn't care about the scars..
I wish I could have the one who could make me happy.
Because I just really want to be happy.
I want to be loved unconditionally.
I want little...
Just the simple things..
But in this day.
I'm not given any strings.
I don't have anything to grasp.

But don't stand by too close
I'm scared of the silence
I'm being haunted by ghosts
The past lives in my head
Displaying where my problems arose
Walking down the same road as my father
Is what I'm scared of the most
Never had someone to guide me
Someone who'd show me the path
The only lessons I've had
Showed me to be controlled by my wrath
Little by little
Its been eating at my heart
But who needs to feel
When I'm only embraced by the dark
I need to rub alcohol on all my wounds
So I'll press this bottle to my lips
Every shot is medication
That helps my thoughts become eclipsed
I'll use my pills
To turn my brain a dark abyss
Maybe all I need as medication
Is for Death to come and drop a kiss
Can you fight off these demons
Can you heal my heart
Prove my life is still worth living
Before I fall apart
I don't have much time
Please save me from the dark
To anyone who hears me
Please come and heal my Heart
I'm scared of this life
I'm scared of the pain

EXTERIOR: We open with a half-destroyed Chicagoland Financial Building. The parking lot is littered with rubble, some destroyed vehicles, and a single corpse: female, long blonde hair, skintight suit, and a mask. A close up of her face shows an expression of horror and sorrow, but her eyes are empty. The area is ringed by police barricades, emergency vehicles, and news crews.
OFF-PANEL REPORTER: "We take you now, live, to the Chicagoland Financial Center, where Melanie Hardin will bring us the latest on today's catastrophic events. Melanie?"[END PAGE 1]
Melanie Hardin: "Thanks, Tom. The Chicago PD has remained tight-lipped about the details, but they have confirmed that the damage to the financial center was not from a bomb, but from a fight between supers. Eyewitnesses suggest that one of them was Eris, a member of the Second City Guardians who had been patrolling the area for security purposes during the anti-corporate protests, which had been going into their seventh day. I’m the girl that no one sees.
A wisp that drifts right through the crowd,
Without company or foe.
I’m the girl who barely talks,
The voice that no one hears.
I’m the sound without a name,
That longs to fill your ears.
But quiet I remain,
This voice without a name,
And alone I dwell in silence,
That is…until you came.
Now every part of me,
Just wants to jump and scream,
Your gaze my way to turn,
As my heart relentlessly churns
for the courage to even speak.
But I fear I am too meek.
To even stutter a hello,
I’d be better off below
The ten-foot ice of glaciers,
With no air, no warmth, no hope,
There I’d stand a better chance.
I must seem really pathetic though.
A cheesy poem won’t get me noticed,
Especially if you don’t know who wrote it.
You may not even know that this is for you…
But I’m remaining focused.
Determined I’ll move forward,
Though little do I know,
About the things you do,

I think I'm alone.
The darkness has swallowed me whole.
I can no longer hear cries that mirror my own.
I fear I'll fade into the shadows that I am submerged into.
My mind has lost the ability to remember.
I had an image I held so dear; it has faded too.
I know there were soft whispers and words meant to make me whole.
Those too have gone, leaving me with nothing but a feeling of despair.
I used to be so vibrant; I'm colorless here.

Five days. That's how long it's been since I've eaten. It's not like mother has been starving me, though she has before, I just haven't felt hungry. So I haven't eaten.
This realization almost comes as a surprise to me one night. I stare at the ceiling with my hand resting on my emaciated stomach. If I move my thumb up, I can feel the bottom of my ribs jutting out.
"What is that hideous thing?" she asked after glancing over the paper for a second and then marching out of the room. "You're never going to get anywhere in life like that." I was six. I had just shown her a picture I drew of our baby mule, Melvin.
My mother. I know she's never liked me; I've never been her favorite, no matter how hard I'd try. Not even now. I want to hate her for it, for not loving me, but I just can't. I just want her to accept me.
A loud crash broke the room

How intricate this web I've fallen into. Most amusing, most confusing; that I find myself is such a wonderful place. Had I the vigor, I'd add this to my garden; if only by a thought. The sweet dew that drips from this place, captured only by the brave, and the brave with a Lens. So rich is the scent of youth in your garden, that I'd too, wish to keep. Yet to disturb such a quiet slumber, would be most distasteful. So I here end my notes, and continue toward the making; of my Perfect Garden; where all are welcomed.
What changes us? You walk through the double-doors prepared to go through another day of high school. Oh joy! That one place on earth where the slightest thing can ruin your social life for a very long time. These four years seem to go on forever. Everyone here is defined by a label. You're either a goth, or you're prep, or maybe you're even the popular cheerleader. The fact remains the same: here you are nothing more than what others think of you. If you get on the wrong person's nerve you end up being the school loser. Starting from that moment, nothing will ever go right again. You can get beat up near your locker or in P.E. and sometimes even before a certain class. Everyone will do anything in his or her power to make you understand you're worthless. Some don't even think it but what choice do they have Being your friend would bring their end and hating you will just make their life easier. Head or heartIt's been three months. Your friends have stopped coming to see you because every time it was just the same routine. They ask if you're okay. You don't answer. They try to make you eat. You swallow one bite to make them happy even though you know you'll get rid of it later. Your parents stopped caring. They don't even bother knowing if you're still alive or if you finally succumbed to that promise of peace and rest that is death. So you just sit there. On your bed. Looking forward in the dark. Hoping to find him there but knowing you won't. You've removed everything from your room. All of your posters, all of your pictures, anything that will remind you that you used to have a happy life and, consequently, remind you why it ended. Why did it end? This question haunts you. You thought you knew the answer but the longer you think about it, the more you realize that the end started a long time ago. Was it when you got in that fight over a toilet seat? Or maybe it was when you met that exHead or heart2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
