Summer finally came! Even though I live in Oregon, and its still cold and damp, its nice to have some little sun every once in a while. As I walk out of my home to see my friends near Woodmancy Park.
Hi, my name is Jon Low, I am a normal 19 year old boy with friends and a huge imagination, my friends tend to tell me that I am a wuss and all, but I consider myself brave and strong to prove them wrong. As I continue riding my bike to the park, I can see my friends in the distance. I see Kenny, Melanie, Nichole with Kyle standing next to her, and someone else, as I get closer, I see the other person to be Lianna, my girlfriend, who is visiting me from California. I cannot wait to start this day!
As we walked through the woods, holding Lianna close to me, I can't help to feel something was following us, or well, following me at least. At first I thought it wa

40 children a year drown in 5 gallon water pails. In your lifetime, you are almost 14 times more likely to drown in a 5 gallon water pail then be killed by a Pit Bull.
Pit Bulls were known as the number 1 family dog in the 20th century. But the very same qualities that make this breed such a wonderful pet are also valued by those who use them as fighting dogs, training them in brutal methods, some even going as far as to sew bottle caps under the dogs skin to ensure they're in constant pain, to make them more aggresive.
150 people a year are killed by falling coconuts, making you 50 times more likely to be killed by a palm tree then by a Pit Bull.
Pit Bull puppies, ones that have never fought before, are often killed because their parents were fighters.
Since when did it become guilty?

First we have the egg,
Where the little caterpillar grows.
Influenced, nourished, loved,
The beginning we all know.
The egg soon after hatches,
Revealing the baby caterpillar,
Breaking though its confines,
To show its true character.
Not yet fully developed,
The caterpillar grows.
Showing its affection,
Out into the world it goes.
Though the world is cold, cruel, sick,
There's a person that God sends,
Who never fails to care for you,
Your loyal, loving husband.
Together, as you face the world,
You stay in your cocoon of beliefs.
No Hell, hate, disgust, jail,
No crime and no theifs.
There comes a time in your life
Where you get older, wiser and life's won.
Though as it's coming to an end,
It's never truly done.
God sends his angels down to you,
And tells you that he needs you,
You love and say goodbye to your friends,
And for the first time, you flew.
So spread your wings and fly, butterfly,
God needs you by his side.
Up in the carefree clouds and sun,
You never truly die.

You love how he smells.
You press your nose in his soft black hair. The silky locks tickle your nose as you inhale. He smells like wind and rain, and something sweet, like sugar. You fill your lungs with his scent, the smell etched familiarly in your memories. His scent engulfs you when you pull his soft shirt over his head.
You love how he looks.
Your hands roam around his thin body, caressing, exploring. His glasses are askew on his face, and you reach out and gently fix them back into place. His mesmerizing eyes, those blue, blue eyes crack open and lock onto yours. His smile shows off his endearing bucked teeth, and you can't help but lean over and press your lips to his.
You love how he tastes.
Your tongue flicks against his lips, causing him to gasp in surprise. You wait for him to close his mouth before asking again, this time the message clear as he opens his mouth for you. Your tongue dances slowly, gently with his. He tastes like the warm cocoa

It was just another shitty "day" on the meteor; perusing the corridors out of boredom, checking in periodically on Mayor and TZ, but otherwise just shambling about. They were fun and all, but two years of the same old shit got boring.
You had been making your way down into the meteor to ecto up some coffee (it tasted terrible, but it was something to do) when you took a wrong turn. It only took two hallways to figure this out, but before you could turn and track your way back, you heard something.
Soft though it was, it was a sound you would recognize from a mile away.
The sound of a blade being drawn from its sheath.
Your hand rests at the hilt of your own sword as you send a quick glance around. It had been muffled, though; probably from one of the closed doors dappling the hall. You pause to listen and sure enough there's another sound bubbling up from the white noise.

A Cure For Frostbite.
Frostbitten let out an involuntary yelp as his paw hit against a sharp stone. Frustrated, he kicked at it- sending it spinning across the cold floor and hitting the left hand wall. Hollowed-out holes lined the wall and the clatter of the rock caused several berries to cascade out of various ones.
"Oh, fox dung," he mumbled and stopped his insistent pacing to recollect the scattered ingredients: ingredients for important use in his work. After all, Frostbitten was the medicine cat of Thunder Clan. "Grr, if I have to wait any longer, I'll go crazy!" the pale tabby growled, but it was a worried growl, almost desperate. "If that Ratpaw doesn't hurry up, these kits aren't going to make it."
Finally, there was the sound of heavy breathing and paw steps at the entrance as a small bedraggled looking she-cat stumbled in: her fur was tatted and matted, her paws scarred with what looked like the bite marks of cat teeth. She held a sprig with several flowers and leaves attach

An Old Scientists' RegretsA scientist? Who would want to be one of those in this day and age? Look at the things they had to do...the things the government was making them do... In the corner of a dimly lit room, a Caucasian man in his late 60's sat at his desk, staring down at his work and rubbing his temples. No, this was not okay. Nothing about his job was ever okay.An Old Scientists' Regrets2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He buried his face in his aged hands, just sitting in a pool of regret and sorrow for his entire pitiful life. What was a father to do, when he had lost his family too early? Far too early... The man's hazel eyes gleamed with sadness as he looked at a picture frame on his desk between the spaces of his fingers. In the photo was a lively couple of girls, smiling with crooked teeth and short, messy brown hair. The sisters looked a lot like him, he admitted, but without his graying hair and depressed looks. The man sighed and stared down at what was laying still by his elbows-- two tiny memory chips. The last two. The rest have already been implant
Goosefeather's Judgment--Ch.20Green leaves turned to rusty reds and ochers as green-leaf turned to leaf-fall. The forest became patterned with gold and brown, shining in the dawn light. The air became chill and the leaves started to fall, spiraling down to coat the earth. Mice and squirrels started storing nuts and berries, and the cats had rich hunting. Prey was running plentifully, but everyone in ThunderClan knew it wouldn't last. Goosepaw was busy in the medicine cat's den, organizing their supplies and taking inventory. Gingerpelt had gone with Tawnypaw and Mosswing to collect herbs, especially catmint from Twolegplace. Goosepaw knew, first hand, how desperately the herb would be needed come leaf-bare.
He pushed a leaf piled high with poppy seeds back into its place. "Plenty of poppy seeds." He said to himself. "We're running low on catmint and borage. I'm sure Gingerpelt knows, and she'll pick some borage while she's out. But in case she doesn't, I'll head out.

They'll talk and dance and sing

In the back of Jaypaw's mind, banished by Spottedleaf, is this, his earliest memory...
The fluffy gray kit squirmed around blindly, trying to find his mother's milk. Another small, soft pelt brushed his as he came upon his dinner at last. Dimly, he was aware of the cold wind ruffling his two day old fur, but right now, getting food was more important.
He heard a cry of pain and surprise sound from beside his mother, one much like the one he'd heard about two minutes ago, followed by soothing words from his mother: "That's right, Squirrelflight, keep pushing! It's almost over!" (He had worked out that there was another full grown cat with them that seemed to be a friend of his mother's.) Then, to him, she said: "Oh, Jaykit, do stop suckling so hard! You'll leave no milk for Lionkit!"
The small gray kit mewled in protest. His mother had moved away! He began squirming around again, looking for her.
Beside him was something small and soft and wet. He nos

You take a deep breath before pushing open the heavy wooden door. The dark wood gives a soft groan as you apply pressure to it. The room beyond is dark, the curtains drawn against the bright Alternian sun that is just beginning to rise. It’s almost night and you know you shouldn’t be awake but you’re too scared to sleep. The storm and the memories that are coming back to haunt you are more than enough to give a young Troll nightmares.
“Eridan?” You call timidly. “I-I’m scared. Are you in here?” You’re met with the sound of someone standing up and hurrying towards you. Instinctively you take a couple of steps into the room. After all, he might need comfort.
What you aren’t expecting however, is to be pinned to the wall, someone pressing their hand against your throat. Your chocolate eyes widen as they press against you, suffocating you. Ever so slowly, you feel yourself being lifted up off the ground. Your hands

Lostpaw replied, stopping only for a brief moment before racing into the darkness again. "Well, apparently its not very close by. We've been running ever since the last night patrol left." the other apprentice, Shadow, replied. "And what're we gonna tell Spottedstar when we don't return with any fresh-kill like we told him?"
Lostpaw just shrugged carelessly. "We can always kill a few mice, maybe a snake or a lizard or something on our way back." he suggested. "Sounds like a good idea to me!" Shadow agreed. Midnight looked over from where she was leaping up at the ceiling of the den, snapping at roots and trying to pull them down.
"You should try this, Alari. It's kind of fun," she invited her friend.
Alari padded over and watched Midnight leap for the root again, her jaws snapping shut on air, her body falling back to the ground. Alari was highly unimpressed with this game, but gave it a try anyway.
Leaning low to the ground and bunching her muscles, then rocketing up at the root. When her face reached the ceiling she quickly snapped at the root, her teeth closing over it easily. Midnight laughed as she hung there by her teeth for a moment and then flopped to the ground when the root broke. The ceiling showered them all with a layer of light red dust. Midnight and Alari both doubled over in laughter while Bone paced nervously.

I still remember the day I got my first ever Pokémon game. I was around 8-10 years old at the time.
My mum and dad had just came back from a shopping trip and I was in my room busying myself with my only Pokémon related game at the time: Pokémon Stadium. I mashed the buttons on the control wildly as the oncoming attack from the opponent Dragonair sent my Jolteon's health quickly down to zero, I was just about to send out the next Pokémon in my teams line-up when my mum called me from downstairs. The console's remote fell to the floor with a loud clunk (something I would regret in later life as I now only have one working remote) as I raced out my bedroom door, I knew what was coming, something I'd been waiting for, for a long time.
My mum was in our sitting room. She held a plain plastic bag in her hands and had a welcoming smile on her face. "I got you something while I was in town. Come see." She chimed as she handed me the bag. By this point, my heart was poundin
A Poem About WordsA Word on WordsA Poem About Words2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I’ve never been very good with words.
I spend so much time searching for the right ones,
For that one perfect phrase to describe a feeling.
Slippery as a sunfish it incessantly escapes me,
Or gets hooked upon my lip.
It’s difficult to say what I mean,
Let alone mean what I say.
And words make it so much harder;
Ineffectual, impersonal and imprecise as they are.
I might say I love a steaming pot of tea in the morning,
Or a big cozy sweater on a winter’s day.
But sweaters and tea don’t quite add up to how I feel about you.
You might say a rose is pretty,
Or a sunset.
But I am hardly a flower or a sinking star.
I wish there were a way to pinpoint these feelings,
To let you know exactly what they are.
Instead I tread water futilely,
Drowning in the vagueness of language;
I simply choose silence.
Perhaps worst of all about words,
Is that they can lose their luster so devastatingly quickly.
I want meaning to permeate time; to last forever
