Justice League Concept Art: I'm completely redesigning the Justice League for a script i am writing for a feature length film. Ya know, cause I'm bored. So I did some concept art and bios. More members coming soon. If you want a request on characters, please let me know. -------------------------------------------------------- Batman: In this case, Batman is still a detective and vigilante of Gotham City. But without a cape. Cause I don't like capes. And I love the idea of the harness with the suit too. BASE: [link] Combo of Prototype from Batman Begins and Capeless Armor from The Dark Knight Rises.
Superman: Let's just say he is not Kryptonian. (Sorry, I'm trying something new. Just believe in me.) BASE: [link] I took the last Captain America redesign and put in a House of El symbol and colored the hair black. And again, No cape.
Wonder Woman: In this film, Diana is a government agent and direct descendant of Zeus. She is more based on Black Widow from The Avengers. BASE: [link] Recolored casual Black Widow with a thigh holster and an old WW symbol.
PLEASE COMMENTS! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FEEDBACK AND CRITICISM!
I've been working on these for a while and I desisted that maybe I should show it off a little.
I changed Batgirl's colors from black and red like Batman's to purple and yellow colors as suggested by ReverendTrigster (check out her work). I chose the identity of Melanie Walker from the Royal Flush gang to become Batgirl because she also seems to have a lot of Barbara's strengths but a completely diffent background and has this connections with Terry that I think that would work together in a team. Also she has the basic training and skills that would come for being Batgirl. I'm also hopping it will help evolve her character, and showing that crimitals can go straight.
I gave Robin some more green and yellow colors, like Dick Grayson's costume was in the old series. I didn't do much with his face because i chose him to be the son of the last Robin Tim Drake. I kinda like the idea that he looks and acts a little like his father because i want to see how Bruce deals with that and if he can. I chose that Stephanie Brown (The Spoiler) from the comics books to be his mother beause of her personality works well to bend it to Andy. Tim and Andy are pretty simulair execpt that Andy doesn't listen to attority as much as his father would.
I was kinda lost with Nightwing it was really hard to come up with something new for his suit becaues i liked it very much the way it was so all did was made the blue darker and made some small ajustments and makde it have a blue shine to it. I also didn't know who would play him at all until i saw Jared Tate from the T.V. series. He's the stepson of Jim Tate also called Amory. I saw he has some investigating skills when he tries to get into his stepfather's workshack. He's not really on the show much which is also why i chose him because i can play with him a little.
They could use some more work but they are nice enough to show now. If they're any suggestions, anything let me know I do want criticism, even if its really mean let me have it.
This was done to commemorate the end of a project between myself (as colourist/letterer/script saboteur) and James Mclean (as writer/pencil & inks) that took two years to complete (the project, not this poster!)
Anyway, here we have all the primary cast members and most of the cameos from the two year, 72 issue run of the Batman Beyond "Stripped" webcomic strip. What makes this one different from most other fan comics is that we actually FINISHED it! Most just get abandoned, but by some miracle we were able to finish ours. Click Download for the huge, desktop sized version!
See the full 72 page strip here.[link] As always with DKA, pencils & Inks by James Mclean.[link]
I should stress this was an unofficial fan comic, that we don't own any of these characters and had nothing to do with DC comics or Warner Bros in any way.
Its been a year guys ! I had finally managed to draw something. This one is just like the last one with an extra character : Damian Wayne. From left to right : Tim Drake ( 3rd Robin ), Jason Todd ( on top ) ( 2nd Robin), Dick Grayson ( 1st Robin ).
As a kid my favorite cartoon was Batman The Animated Series. It was never afraid to be more mature and sophisticated for a "kid's show". I thought it would be cool to imagine a new show in the same fashion. I based my idea off of Phil Bourassa's art from Young Justice, to the point that the Batman I used is his entirely. Young Justice is a cool enough show, but to me it is Phil's and Jerome K Moore's art that really make it stand out from every other thing in the DC animated universe.
Here is Batman, Nightwing, Red Robin, and Robin. I called it Legends of The Dark Knight because I think it would be fun to see a show that follows the entire bat family around, not just Batman. See some Dick Grayson and Tim Drake stories for a change.
