See this cosplay IN ACTION in this video!! I show up at 0:09 for a minute, and then at 1:01 for a really pretty twirl~ So, this was my costume that I completed for Setsucon 2013. It's Luna's human form, from the Sailor Moon S movie. Not only did it while at the convention snow- just in time for a photo shoot (which totally matches the movie!)- I managed to win first place with it!! : ) It was pretty much a dream come true~! Maybe I'm really like Luna after all? ; P
This costume was sewn entirely by me- It was a week and a half of very hard labor. I made a custom pattern, and there are 3 underskirts- one is a double underskirt of sheer soft black chiffon, and the over skirt for that is a shorter skirt made with sheer "cosmic" black fabric (It has little silver sparkles that shine like diamonds). The sheer yellow is also "cosmic" fabric, and serves to blend the dress into the underskirts, as well as cover my chest (no risque cleavage here!). The yellow dress and neck ribbon are made from a very soft, pale yellow silk. The black flowers are hand made with 5 different fabrics (there's also a huge black flower puff on the back, and it sits onto of a flowy sheer bow). There's a deeper yellow lining in the whole dress which you can't really see unless I twirl- but that's actually knit fabric- so it's nice and comfy like a sweatshirt inside! : ) The skirts actually are edged with horsehair braiding- which is why they curl and move just like Luna's!
