"Mine is President Obama!"
But my hero,
Is my mom.
Even when her father drank and smoked cigerettes and got violent,
Even when my brother took his last breath,
When my cousin nearly died in a fire,
When she had nightmares,
She still persiveered.
She holds me when I cry,
She helps me walk again when I fall down,
She has showed me who I want to be.
And there’s no other being that can be compared to her in my heart.
She holds a special little corner in my soul.

This blissful feeling is almost so strong, I want to cry from the force.
Running my cold hands down my face to stop the heat from spreading on my cheeks.
It’s over powering me, making me fly.
I feel the smile spread across my face.
How did this happen?
I want to dance.
This feeling gives me courage to do what I want.
When did my heart start beating this fast?
My joy is barely concealed beneath my exterior.
