A couple of people were asking if I did pixel tutorials so I tried to make one! Make a pudding like one of these:

I don't know if this is really helpful or not but I hope someone somewhere has fun making pixel dessert with it *O*

I was reeeeally bored, so I figured I would make a short tutorial about how I do my pixel art, since I have been asked so many times.

I use MSpaint for all of my pixel pieces. The only thing I use photoshop for is to make the backgrounds transparent.

Happy pixelling!

I don't even know.
I scribbled this junk up quickly and next thing I knew, it looked like a guide/tutorial or process thing, so I turned it into something like that.
(Probably because I don't even want to touch this any more.. ever.)

Alright, so I finally feel like expanding.

Note: Your current drawing level will always affect the outcome of your work. No one can change that but you. What you know about Anatomy, shading, perspectives and etc, have a big role in your Art, and once again, it won't change unless you do something about it.
So practice! Learn! Gain knowledge! Experiment! No matter the order, just do it. At least try.

If you copy this pixel for pixel, you deserve a slap in the face. You learn nothing by copying me.

How I go about things:
(I tend to make a complete base first, then I will draw things like clothing and hair afterwards. I do this because if I like the base, I may wish to use it again in future!)

1. I always think of stupid things in my head, but it's good cause I'm using my imagination, no matter how dull it can be sometimes. What I saw in that thick head of mine, goes onto a blank white canvas in whatever program I open first I sketch it in any colour I desire. Once happy with what I have, I clean the sketch a little to make it easy to follow. It just helps me, it might be for you, or it might not be. I know a lot of people who can work fine from a very rough looking sketch. Each to his own.

2. Line work goes straight over the top. I use the colour black all the time (it makes the lines stand out enough to see any faults I may wish to fix) with a 1px wide brush, like the line tool, or curve tool, if not there, free hand brush tool to which I then erase some pixels here and there to get nice clean lines. It's almost as if I used the line and curve tool.

3. Erase the sketch underneath. Easy enough.

4. Colours.. no need to say anymore.
Try making your own palette. It makes for good practice.

5. Alright, time to add your fist shade. I cannot possibly give you any tips for this other than to picture it as doing cel shading. You either get it, or don't. I also must point out that because I'm making something so small, I need to put only so many shades onto it. Bigger things may need more.
Back to it now, once done with the first shade, add another shade, slightly darker and so on. Add yet another shade, this shade is my final shade for the skin, therefore, it's mostly used to work with the line work, it may even replace some of the line work in some areas.

6. Refine your work. Fix things up. Make the eyes looks pretty, or whatever really.
I don't really care. Just make it look nice.

That's it. Nothing special.

★-----------------------------------★-----------------------------------★
(I ask that no-one ever use the base made/featured in this tutorial. It is not free to use. Ever. So don't even ask!)

THINK. SKETCH. LINE WORK. COLOUR. SHADE. REFINE.
That's it. That's the key.
If you can't even do that, well.. you're on your own.

Do NOT: Redistribute my Art in any way, especially by uploading/posting it elsewhere on the web, e.g. Photobucket, Imageshack, Blog sites, Forums or Personal websites.
Do NOT: Edit my Art. That also means do not trace it either! Nor should you post your edits online. This is a big no-no!
