Flirting with Danger - Part 1Flirting with Danger - Part 13 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This
It is well into the evening when you finally turn down your dimly lit street. Stifling a yawn, you reach to turn your radio down. Most of the neighbors have been asleep for a couple of hours at this point. Even the animals are quietly slumbering. You turn your headlights off as you pull into the driveway. All the windows in the house are dark. Of course everyone has gone to sleep already. The only "night owl" in the household is you. You gather your things on the passenger seat. You then get out of the car and gently shut the door as to not disturb anyone. Your keys jingle as you slide them into the deadbolt of the front door. You step inside, lock the door behind you and tiptoe quietly to your room. It's dark so you try not to trip over anything. You reach out and use the wall to guide you. Once in your room, you collapse on your bed, exhausted. What a day. Sleep would be glorious. You stealthily slip into the bathroom, using your cell ph
+Love's a Virus+ Pt. 4I woke up to a slap on my face. I opened my eyes slowly, shielding the light so it didn't enter my vision too fast. Once my eyes were fully open, i could see Timcampy standing over my head with its small round body. It flew up in the air and flapped its wings impatiently, watching me raise from the bed.+Love's a Virus+ Pt. 47 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"Tim, good evening...." I yawned and stretched. Timcampy flew over to my shoulder and rested itself. I for one thought it was cute how a golemn would act as though it was real...though Tim was only a machine. I walked out of the room, still in pajamas. I looked around. It was already 6 pm. I sighed deeply in aggravation that I slept so long. I walked around for a while and came across something i knew would happen.
It wasn't just around the corner that was easy to see. I saw Lavi and Kanda fighting each other with words, not weapons, thankfully. They were bickering and Lavi had blood on his forehead. My eyes widened with despair. I hear my name from time to time so i had a feeling it wa

Loki slowly inches forward, still holding the scepter.
"Sir, please put down the spear!" the man with the gun yells.
Loki looks back at you and smirks. You step back, knowing what he is about to do. He turns back around, looks at the scepter and looks back at the man. Without warning he jabs the air, sending a bolt of blue light towards the man. The man and everyone standing near him are knocked to the ground. Some men on the other side of the room open fire. Loki leaps into the air and lands on one of the men, stabbing him in the chest. He then throws some small, silver daggers at the other men, injuring them. He continues to send bolts of energy towards his foes. You press your back against the cold wall as you watch Loki kick one of the men into the wall, knocking him unconscious. The room is now dark except for some flickering lights and sparks shooting from the equipment. Loki pauses, looking around at the damage he has caused. You stand there, stunned

You start to feel excited as the car comes to a stop in front of a beautiful building with ionic columns and giant arched windows. Loki opens your door and helps you out. Once you are out of the car, you glance over at him. He is wearing black dress pants, a white collared shirt, a black tie and a black, knee length suit jacket. Around his neck hangs a golden scarf with small geometric shapes and a large vertical green stripe. The golden fringe attached to either end swishes as he walks.
"That is a lovely scarf." you say, reaching over and feeling the soft material.
"It is almost as lovely as you." Loki leans down and whispers in your ear.
"Well," you can't help but grin and blush. "I do have an excellent tailor."
You look down at the evening dress Loki conjured up for you. It is a bright, saturated green color that matches the green on his scarf. It is fitted and flows all the way down to the floor, complete with a sweetheart n

You peer around Loki. The men in suits were keeping their distance...for now. You go to reach for the motel key but Loki beats you to it. His hand slips into your pants pocket and feels around. He grabs the key and sticks it in the door. You are very glad he isn't looking at you, because you are blushing. Once the door is open, you quickly back into the room. He closes the door and you immediately sprint to the bathroom to grab your things. You turn to run to your bag by the bed when you run into him instead.
"Ow!" you exclaim, almost dropping your items.
"There is no need to rush." he says calmly. Too calm in your opinion.
"Are you kidding me?!"
You walk briskly to your bag, trying your best to not panic.
"What are we going to do about..." you glance over at the scepter. There wa

You take a deep breath and step on the accelerator. You have gone over the speed limit on several occasions, but this time you are really pushing it. Out of the corner of your eye you see the man fumbling around, probably trying to roll down the window.
"How about the sun roof?" you ask.
"That is a splendid idea." he grins.
You hold the steering wheel tight and reach for the button for the sun roof with your other hand. At this speed, any sudden movement would spin the car out of control. You quickly get the sun roof open and grasp the wheel again with both hands. The man crouches on his seat, looking around, contemplating about how to accomplish his plan.
"Try putting one foot on your seat and the other on mine." you suggest.
He nods and starts to situate himself. As you scoot over to make room, you feel his foot pressing against the outside of your leg. He peers out of the roof, scepter

You try not to panic. You watch Loki as he strolls over to the other side of the room. He gently sets the scepter down on the floor by the bed.
"I claim this side." he says casually, plopping down on the bed.
You couldn't believe this was happening. You were about to share a bed with an attractive stranger that you just met a few hours ago. You resolve to just go with the flow since exhaustion has finally caught up with you. You place your bag on the floor beside the bed and unzip it. Good thing you brought extra stuff. You grab your shorts, shirt and bathroom items.
"I assume you didn't bring pajamas?" you jest as you look over at Loki, who is laying comfortably with his arms behind his head.
"I told you, I need not sleep."
"Yeah, yeah I know."
You wander into the bathroom to change. You close

The storms on Jotunheim were never-ending. They would go on for months, ravaging the land with ice and snow as sharp as knives. The winds were so cold the sweat on a man's skin would freeze instantly. But freezing sweat and storms didn't bother Thor. Jotunheim's worst blizzard wouldn't kill his determination, he would face it, head held high and push through the merciless winds.
But Thor wasn't in Jotunheim to test the blizzards and ice. He wasn't there for the Jotuns either. He sought for someone. Yet his eyes darted around suspiciously, this someone didn't want to be found so it seemed. And Thor knew him well enough to be sure an attack could come.
"Loki!" he shouted.
His words seemed to lose power as the winds raged around him. Nothing but a weak echo came back to him. A chill had filled his chest, one not caused by the cold around him though.
This was useless, Jotunheim was so vast, and he could barely see a few feet ahead through the

"K-Kand---" I was cut off by a kiss. Kanda held me down for a long time, forcing his tongue inside my mouth. I struggled for freedom, but I liked the feeling. I felt him breath on me still with our lips locked. Kanda broke apart and licked his lips. I coughed and looked down at the floor. It was dark, a carpet covered in our shadow. I wanted Lavi to save me. I couldn't depend on him though, I had to get out of there.

You stand there dumbfounded, examining the haggard man. From what you could tell, he was dressed in strange, but interesting clothing. He wore an exquisite, long, black leather coat with dark green lining that went down to his ankles. He wore black leather pants and boots as well. His black, shoulder length hair is pushed back and flipped outward. You are especially intrigued by the scepter he is holding. It has a golden shimmer and there is a glowing blue orb nestled near it's pointy tip. You suddenly realize that you are staring.
"My help?" you finally reply.
You wouldn't have believed him if you had been in a room full of people. You would have assumed that he was talking to someone next to or behind you. Even now, you are skeptical.
"Yes," he states, looking around, "I seem to have ended up in the wrong location."
He seems to be genuinely confused so you decide to at least point him in

"Wh-What?" I said. My voice became shakey but I held myself. Lavi looked at the door.
"Its against the Bookman rules.....to be in love with outsiders...I can't be attached to anyone. I'm nothing but an observer..." My heart was crushed. I couldn't reply in any way. He looked at me and his face seemed so sad. "I'm sorry. We can't...be together..."
"B-But can't you just...bend the rules?" Lavi shook his head. My heart pounded loudly. "Wait.....So I'm just an outsider to you? You.....don't care about me or something??" My eyes welded up with tears. I felt myself shaking. My palms were sweaty and I frowned at him.

Loki threw the door to his room back in its hinges and pushed his back against it. His breath was rapid from running and adrenaline. He heard Sif's heels go by his room without slowing. Apparently she thought he had run elsewhere, to Thor's room perhaps. He let out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding and a wheeze of a laugh. Laughing at himself. He had run out of all things, ran away from a single person. It was idiotic, and downright sad for someone of his stature. You have no stature. His mind was swift to correct that thought. For a man that once had such stature then. He lowered his gaze from the ceiling to look out into his room. It was like Thor had said, nothing had been touched. Dust lay on things in a grey blanket, nothing had been touched, not even for a bit of cleaning. The covers of his bed still lay on a heap as he had left them when he had woken up from that restless nightmare that had become truth by the end of that day. L

I ran up the stairs and stopped at the cafeteria. I scanned the lunch tables for his white hair, but I surprisingly didnt see him anywhere. I was sort of stumped already. If he wasnt

When he felt presence again Loki refused to open his eyes, or to move from his curled position. He knew where he was, what waited. He just refused to acknowledge that it was actually happening, again. Asgard was supposed to finally be safe…. To be a haven from them. They weren't supposed to get to him there. He let out shaky breaths.
"Now, now… where did your pride go? There is no need to be afraid…. Not yet."
The Other's voice, he had learned to know it blindly once. There had been a day when they had taken him from Jotunheim. Then they had dripped a stinking acid in his open eyes. It had burned and burned and they hadn't allowed him to close his eyes again until his sight had been completely burned away. It had taken days to heal, weeks maybe, he couldn't tell light from dark that time. The memory made his heart pound again. The hopeless darkness, relying on just his other senses for what they were worth. He bit on his lip, never again. He wouldn't go through it

Chapter 2: Redning Til Sjøs ~Rescue At Sea~
The early morning air was sweet and salty, a subtle mixture of the winter air being filled with the scents of the season and the usual salt of the sea from the nearby beaches. The sun wasn't set to rise for at least another half hour or so, and the stars were still easily visible, despite the lights of the city blocking most of them out. Despite being late December, the morning was warm thanks to the usual Texas heat that lasted year round. A small, content sigh escaped a young woman who stood leaning against the railing of a small sidewalk that led down towards the small beach area. The sight of the lapping waves at such an hour when most were still asleep or too busy preparing for the day ahead was soothing.
Anya let her smile grow a tiny bit as she leaned back, her hands gripping the metal bar of the railing to keep her balance. A small, light wind picked up, causing the young woman's white cosplay gown to flutter against her legs.

A loud shatter accompanied the explosion of glass on the floor of the Allfather's room. Loki froze with shock. He had only meant to look. Now the glass that had been a sun-clock lay in a thousand pieces across the floor. Someone had knocked on the doors to his father's chambers. Because he'd been on edge his sudden jerk had caused the clock to slip from its pillar to the floor. The doors swung open and Thor burst in. Mjolnir was aimed straight at the presumed intruder and his gaze was unforgiving.
"You made a grave mistake intruding the Allfather's chambers you ."
Thor stood baffled.
He lowered his weapon again.
"Why are you here?"
The younger set a few steps back.
"I didn't mean to- I just .I was curious. And father wouldn't tell me what it was .."
Thor's eyes fell on the glass shards.
"You broke father's clock?"
"It was just an accident."
Loki looked genuinely desperate.

Chapter 1: Eksil av en Prins ~Exile of a Prince~
He already knew what the verdict of this trial was. Everyone knew it, so in honesty the entire trial was nothing but a huge waste of time.
The raven haired prince was fully aware how the people of Asgard glared at him, how they whispered among themselves as the trial continued. About his actions against Midgard, about his true heritage as the son of Laufey, about everything they could gossip and mock him for. Not that he cared anymore. The people of Asgard never truly accepted him. Even when they didn't know his true lineage, they never accepted or treated him the same as Thor. As the trial carried on, pointless though it was, the citizens of the Eternal Realm were either silent or whispering amongst themselves about the deeds of the silver-tongued prince, some commenting that they knew he would end up where he was now. Thus Loki knew many of them were even glad when the verdict was finally read, finding him guilty of all

She kept herself in pain
To keep herself from harm
Each day she smiled bright
But no one seemed to care
Their ignorance made her feel as if
She wasnt even there
Each night she sat alone
In darkness and despair
As she thought about her life
And how it wasnt fair
She wore long sleeves to hide
The scars which marred her wrists
And the marks which scored her palms
As she tightly clenched her fists
When her friends asked how she was
She always said Im fine
None of them ever had a clue
Of the pain she was holding inside
At night she screamed in silence
As the crimson spilt over and out
Releasing the fears and frustrations
The world chose to do nothing about
Time marched on, yet ground to a halt
Her life seemed a melancholy haze
Twilight was fast approaching and
She was counting down the days
A tear slid down her cheek
As a drop slid down her chest
Shed destroyed herself to the very end

As Loki woke up his eyes seemed frozen shut. He let out a groan and shifted his arms. His muscles popped and groaned, protesting against any movements. He managed to crack one eye open. His face was glued to the rocky floor. Daylight hardly made it through the crack where he had come in through the evening before. The icicles had melted even farther, the dripping water was probably even what woke him up. He tried to sit, his back aching so severely he feared it would just snap in two as he pressed himself against a nearby wall. He was still spoiled, all these years of soft beds and warmed rooms had left him used to nothing at all. He stared ahead. He'd had that dream again, the memory. Thor had promised him years, centuries ago to stay by his side. Loki had deemed that a children's promise, had forgotten it even as he ruined Midgard and when he had fled his cell. She moved quietly. Once in a while, Valhalla fell silent as their war came to a temporary halt. He rarely left her alone, getting into petty squabbles, then violent wars, just to pass the time. There was very little else to do except destroy half the city in exponentially creative ways. Because of all her running around, all this fighting, she never had time to examine the terrain. It was only now, while she stood at the top of the beach, that she saw the crystals, scattered in a rainbow of colors across the sand, twinkling faintly in the gloom.
She waited a bit to see what he would do. Usually, he gave himself a bit of quiet time before returning to normalcy. She expected him to leap up at any second.
Rarely did he remain inactive this long. Neither of them needed rest, of course, which meant that in theory they could go on fighting for eternity. Already, the length of time he had spent there without moving was seepin
Winter's Victim Chapter 1Winter's Victim Chapter 13 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
In the beginning, there was nothing. Nothing but eternal space and emptiness. A universe ready to sustain life and allow it to thrive. The silence was deafening, and yet, there was no one to hear it. No one alive.
Then came the thunderous roar of one being. One being that would become the ancestor of all men, gods and demons alike. But his hands and the hands of his children, Odin, Vili, and Vé, they fashioned nine realms or what we know as today as the universe.
The higher tier consisted of Asgard, the realm of the gods, Vanaheim, realm of the Vanir gods, Alfheim, realm of the light elves.
In the middle tier was Midgard, realm of the mortals, Jötunheim, the realm of the Ice Giants, and Svartalfheim, the realm of the Dark Elves.
In the lower tier, the tier forgotten by all mortals and not acknowledged by the gods of Asgard, was Nilfheim, the realm of ice and mist, Helhiem, the realm of the dead, and
Muspelheim, the realm of the Fire Giants.

"Wow, this is quite the place" you say, looking around at the facility. It was like a smaller version of the facility you had been at several hours ago. Smooth, gray concrete walls surrounded you. Scientists and agents are working quickly and efficiently to replicate the equipment needed to stabilize the Tesseract. "Talking to the Chitauri probably."
