All Snapped Up .8 ~ Senju-HiMe~ An interview of a talented artist in our General Photography CommunityAll Snapped Up .8 ~ Senju-HiMe2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Tell us a bit about yourself, Senju-HiMe! How did you get into photography and why?
I was thirteen when I found out what photography really was. I had never thought of taking pictures as a way of expressing myself, as a type of art. Before, I drew, I painted and I wrote poetry and songs. Then, just after I finished the first episode of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 1 -by recommendation-, I suddenly became interested in photography. I was mesmerized by the make-up, styling, lighting and poses they used, and I decided I wanted to do the same. It was all by chance.
Why are you on deviantART and what makes you stay?
Always when I browsed through Google Images, there was always a link that directed me to deviantART. In my country (Spain) deviantART is not known, and so again, it was all unplanned. I decided to

So my trip to South Korea is over since some days already. It feels it was short actually, but I surely enjoyed my time there I took an important amount of pictures and I decided to upload some of them here if any of you feels like taking a look at them; Pictures are not worth the actual thing but it's good to take anyway :')
One of my main occupations there was to visit many palaces and temples, thing that I enjoyed a lot and especially when they brought me in particular ambiances and atmospheres I've never been in before. This surely was a nice and interesting experience for me ^^
Busan at night; every main cities of South Korea tend to become flashlight-cities once night is here~

Tip of the DayMany times if we don't know how to do something or achieve something we feel it's not doable. Successful people will find a way even if they don't know the answer at first. Sometimes the best way to find the right way is to try as many ways as you can think of. The road to success is paved with failures. Stay positive!Tip of the Day4 years ago in Personal More Like This

Did I get your attention yet? These are well done in all aspects: technically sound composition, impressive work out in the field, and extremely proficient editing.
Better yet, hateom has a HD video tutorial for you, along with some RAW files so you can follow along - as long as you have the right software. It's very much worth 20 minutes of your time!
The Art of DystopiaSci-fi dystopia art is one of my favorite things on DA. The amount of detail is incredible, and you feel like you’re actually looking into a future world. It’s easy to get lost in these drawings. With the Killjoy comic coming out, I thought it would be fun to feature some of this incredible art. It might influence the way you imagine Battery City. The Art of Dystopia2 years ago in Personal More Like This

how to self harmBefore you self harm in any way, you should probably know what you're getting into. Before you make that cut, please keep in mind that you will find the pain release and blood strangely addictive. You may think to yourself that you'll be able to control it, that you won't let it get out of hand. You may think that you can just stick to a few small, shallow cuts here and there that won't be deep and that will heal quickly and easily. But you're wrong. You can't control it, it's impossible to control. It controls you. It's an addiction. The cuts will get deeper, they'll scar. They'll take weeks to months to heal and years for the scars to actually begin to fade. You'll find that soon, you depend on it. You can't go more than a few days without cutting. You'll go crazy as your skin itches and burns, your hands shake, your head pounds, your vision goes blurry as you try to keep your mind off of it, try to hold back from giving in. But you will. If you think you can limit the cuts to just one ahow to self harm3 years ago in Personal More Like This

Poetic Meter: A Complete Reference ManualPoetic Meter: A Complete Reference ManualPoetic Meter: A Complete Reference Manual2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Earlier in the week BeccaJS posted an A-Z of Poetry Forms which received a great response from the community. This time around, we're bringing you a comprehensive list of meter. Even later in the week, LaBruyere will be bringing you a guide on how to make your fixed form poetry a reality. This article is a (complete as can be) reference for reliable patterns of poetic meter with a widely-accepted method of scansion used to define them. This article is intended for those who have somewhat of a grasp on what fixed form is! So before we dive into the article know what you're in for (lots of terminology and patterns). Here are some terms and symbols you should be aware of:
Caesura - A complete pause within a line of poetry, sometimes provoked by a mark of punctuation.

It's been a while...It’s basically been over a year since I’ve been in dA for more than 10 minutes! I will, however, offer a little summary:
My exchange semester in the UK was AMAZING, so good, in fact, that in the end I decided to transfer universities and now I’m finishing my studies here (It’s funny how it sounds so simple now, but at the time it was one of the most stressful moments of my life :’) ).I’ve fallen in love with the sweetest, silliest, most wonderful boy in the world and am lucky enough to get to spend every day with him! He really is a silly.I miss my family and friends back home quite a lot. But during the past year at least I got the chance to visit them a couple of times, which was nice :D BUT
