Mademoiselle Rose is a graphic novel I'm currently working on. It is based on a short tale written by Estelle Valls de Gomis and - hopefully because I'm very late with it - it will be out this summer in France from Editions du Riez.
Technique: markers, watercolors, colored pencils and white gouache on paper Size: 29,7 x 42 cm
And a personal tribute to the marvelous French Baroque Painting!
The original of 'Old Garden Roses' is at Emerald City ComicCon, booth 2903 across from the art exhibit in room 305 on the Gaming Floor - Krab Jab Studio! - SOLD -
Hey Guys! Guess what I haven't been doing the last few months-THIS COMIC PAGE! Which in the long run ended up being a combination of art block and me being lazy. Pretty sure I started, scraped, and re-started this page at least 3 times, each time changing what happened, till it fit the story how I wanted. I have been working on some other stuff, so maybe that will keep me from getting burnt out from just drawing comic pages. Anyway, high-five for people who've been waiting for a new page since like what February. I will TRY to get back to working on this somewhat regularly, and when I'm not, at least post other stuff, so it seems like I'm not dead XD
It's been a little while, but I'm popping in to share some of the art I made last semester for one of my projects. This is the final "panel" for a short story about two lovers, a meteor shower, and a really really long walk to find each other again. It's based on the folktale The Princess and the Cowherd : >
I wish I had pictures of the book! The whole booklet kind of opens out to the middle of this one giant picture. Then you follow them to either end of the strip, and join it together so they can meet again.
You can see the rest of the artwork for it on my tumblr - [link]
