Jeremy shoved through the cemetery gates, and sprinted to the school steps. "Wait!" Kayla shouted, trailing along behind in her ragged prom dress. "Jeremy!"
"What?" He stopped in his tracks.
"All the bodies!" Kayla pointed. "They're gone!"
Jeremy frowned. Kayla was right. The road was clear. There wasn't even as much as a single bloodstain on the tarmac. Jeremy looked up. The alien red sky was staring to break up, revealing the fading night stars behind it. Beyond the trees of the forest, the light blue of dawn was starting to creep from the ground. Soon it would collide with the redness and destroy it. In some distant houses, the lights were coming back on. Far away there was a faint moan of a police siren. "Kristy's spell is breaking " He whispered. Kayla scratched her head. Jeremy seized her hand. "We don't have much time! Come on!"
They pushed through the school doors, ducking under the fallen prom night banner.

Percy sighed as Annabeth continued her rant about how they should go out and hit a club tonight. They were all underage, but she'd be providing them with fake ids. Grover was the closest, at twenty, but he could pass for being twenty one, or maybe older. Annabeth was the youngest of the group, still eighteen. Percy had just turned nineteen a few weeks ago.
He wasn't really enthusiastic about this whole idea. A club wasn't really his ideal hangout place. He'd much rather have a house party and invite some friends of theirs. However, for some reason, Annabeth seemed hellbent on dragging Percy to this bar. Percy frowned, knowing his parents might kill him if they found out he was going to use a fake ID at a bar and attempted to buy alcohol.
They had always been strict parents. They always made sure to push him to his limits. They hadn't always been like this, but a few years back, they had just seemingly changed around him. They made him take up martial arts lessons, and do weir

The Kerrang awards were bustling this year. I thought last year was bad but compared to the crowd that was gathered here today, last year was nothing. Gingerly I swung a leg out of the car that we had arrived in, wincing as a camera light shone directly in my face. All the rest of the guys were ahead of me and I jogged to keep up with them.
Andy and Ashley were at the front of us, hand in hand, they waved and stopped for pictures, posing like the happy couple everyone presumed they were. Jake and CC were slightly behind them, chattering to each other about a new movie that had been released, which left me le midget to myself. I didn't mind to much, I liked keeping myself to myself hence why I didn't talk much during interviews.
We walked through the double doors where the awards would commence, all of us getting split up due to how many people there were. Jesus, I couldn't see any of the guys, I rose up on my tip-toes and I could just make out the top of Andy's head. Him

I rose from the crater I had made shakily, bits of rubble falling from my body as I did. Finally standing upright I surveyed my surrounding's, it seemed to be a quiet little town with nothing out of place...So why had I been sent here? I shrugged my shoulders and carefully stretched out my wings, rubble falling from them as well and wincing in pain as my injured one stretched out. I folded them tightly to my body and made to step out of the hole I had made myself, when I turned around.
A little boy stared back at me, a teddy bear clasped in his tiny hand, a mixture of awe and fright was worn across his face as he stared up at me. Wordlessly we locked eyes with each other for a few fleeting seconds until he opened his mouth as if to speak, quickly I put a finger to my mouth telling him silently to be quiet. His mouth closed with an audible pop and his eyes shifted to my wings, a look of longing went trough them and he reached out a hand to stroke but then retracted

Nico didn't want to be in trouble today, but here he was. In the Principal's office, twiddling nervously with his thumbs. After the principal wrote something on a sheet of paper ,Nico didn't seem to understand (because the new principal's handwriting was awful) and just looked at Mr. Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins face was pasted with an unpleasant smile Nico had never seen before.
"Mr. Di Angelo." He said.
"Yes...sir?" Nico asked anxiously.
"I'm afraid that you are expelled from this school." The principal said bluntly. Nico wasn't surprised.
"But don't worry Mr. Di Angelo." He continued. "You may have summer classes here for free. If you do well, then I MIGHT accept you for the school's university next year." Nico took some time to process what the 61 year-old principal was saying.
He thought about Camp Half-Blood first. H

Ash tied my wrists together in an unbreakable knot using the tie from my robe. He tugged on the back of it experimentally, as if he was testing the strength of the knot. I wriggled my wrists around in vain, realising the knot was far too advanced for me to be even bothered about, Ash must be a master in all things knot-wise. He grinned in satisfaction and led me over to the sofa, pushing me down onto it. He sat opposite me, perched casually on the side of the coffee table.
He crossed one leg over the other and leaned towards me. "I take it you read my proposition then?"
I shuffled into a more comfortable position, plus one that didn't allow Ash to sneakily see up my robe. "Yes I did and I have no intention of pursuing it,"
Ash grinned slyly and tossed his mane of hair behind his shoulders. "And why not exactly?"
"B-Because it's degrading and...we barely know each other...your my employer for Christ sake!"

So she’d lost her way. If she had had one at all to begin with.
The woods around her were unfamiliar, a long way from home. She crept through, snapping twigs under her feet. Thorns ran long and painful lines down her skin which was a decaying shade of blue.
What day it is?
She had no clue of how long she’d been away from the living. It was somewhere near months now. She frowned, rubbing her arms to calm the goose pimples; she never realised the dead could feel a chill.
She looked down at her hands. They matched the giant stains of red on her ruined prom dress. Her underskirts dragged along behind her. The skirt was coming away from the bodice. What once was fuchsia pink was now the colour of death.
She lifted both her hands to her face, and stared obsessively at them. She could still feel the hug of a trigger around her thumb; the clutch of the gun she’d snatched from the boot of the car; the chafe of her heels as she’d st

Kristy watched the dying embers of the fire from the side of the river bed. The car had fallen through the wooden beams as they burned. Now smouldering remains of bridge, car, and body were merging in the muddy water and flowing gently away. She looked up. There was a clear line that divided the sky where her power's grip lost hold. It ran parallel in the sky to the river. Somewhere beyond, the police were waiting. They'd come as far as the bridge, only to find it burnt. She had caught a glimpse of their flashing lights and the whirling sirens as they turned to find a new way across. That was the only bridge, but she knew they would find the new path eventually. Now it was just a matter of time.
She turned away from the last of the flames and climbed back up the bank. Her heels sank in the mud, only for the ground to spit them back out again, as if rejecting her. She hauled herself up onto the grass beside the road, and came face-to-fac

Nico woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. He groaned and silenced it. He sat up in bed and stretched. The rest of the week had flown by rather quickly for Nico and, thankfully, it was Friday. Nico dragged himself out of bed and made his way into the bathroom. He looked at his chest in the mirror. His appetite was almost back to normal now, but it would be a few more weeks before he probably noticed a change in his physical appearance. He wiped at his face as a tear fell down his cheek.
He got out of the shower and started to dry off. He cocked his head at the sound of knocking. He hadn't made plans for anyone to take him to school today, which may have been a mistake. He didn't know how he was going to get there. He slipped his pants on and grabbed his shirt as he made his way to the door. He cracked it open to find Percy on the other side. "Good morning, Nico," Percy said cheerfully.
Nico smiled at him, slipping his shirt over his head. He caught Percy's eyes flickering

The next morning we get a better idea of where we are. We go downstairs together, still holding hands. There’s a kitchen with tables and chairs. I think the furniture is second-hand. It’s bruised. The room smells of oatmeal. A kettle hisses on a worktop. There are a few women there, other lodgers I guess. They eat while seven children hide under the table legs. They play with toys which like the table were loved once. Faye comes in and waves us to a table. The other women smile sympathetically as we sit.
She sits us down to explain. This is a shelter for families that have been broken. Some of the women have the tell-tale marks on their face. I recognise them because I have them too. I doubt they all got them from walking into doors. I never knew this place existed before, but that’s because its top secret, Faye says. He barely had enough time to shield himself as an explosion went off in front of him, sending him flying backwards. He was yanked off the ground by Kronos and tossed into a nearby wall.
Kronos grabbed a fist full of hair from the back of Percy's head and smashed Percy's head into the cracked wall. Percy's vision blurred as his head was repeatedly smashed into the wall. He growled and thrust his palms against the wall, shattering it and flinging him and Kronos backwards.
Percy straddled Kronos and punched to the man's jaw. Percy was about to deliver another blow when Kronos grabbed a wooden beam from the shattered wall and smashed it against Percy's head. Percy fell off with a cry of pain. He climbed back to his feet, clutching the back of his head. He pulled his hand away to see it lightly stained with blood.

Lee, Joel, Denny and Blaine had split up.
Denny had disappeared before any commotion had started; he'd been busy peeking into the girls' bathroom when the first shot was heard. Now he was wandering alone on one of the upper floors, listening for any sounds. He'd tried to get down one of the fire escapes but found them strangely all locked up.
He was standing at the top of a flight of steps, wondering whether it would be a good idea to go back to the school hall, when he heard a noise in his back pocket. He reached around and pulled out the slim object a cherry red oyster phone with a dangling charm in the shape of a black cat. The tune was the theme from The Exorcist. The phone wasn't his. It was Kristy's. He'd picked it up off her body when they'd arrived back at the school. Lee had wanted to take a look at her once more. Blaine ran off. Joel stared. Denny took the phone. As far as he could tell, Kristy wasn't going to need it where she was.

He returned to his corner, and traced pictures on the floor with his finger. Kayla was across the room. Occasionally her and her friends would look over at him and whisper. Percy didn't live far from Central Park, so he decided to go on foot. He had a weird feeling that he was being watched the entire way, but every time he looked around, he found no one there. He shuddered from the eerie feeling, and quickened his pace down the sidewalk.
He entered the park with fifteen minutes to spare, just enough time to get to the exact place. As the playground came in to sight Percy noticed that it was empty. He looked around for a minute, as he hoped to find someone hiding. He passed by a swing as it eerily swung to and fro, empty. He stared off into the distance, until he heard the swing creak, giving indicating it was in use.
Perched on the swing was Nico, who wore a sly smile on his face. "Hello, Percy." Percy thought he looked like an innocent kid as he swung, but the air about him still made Percy aware that he was a possible threat. “You have to eat something… eventually,” my Stepfather purrs in a gravel-raw voice, “and apples are good for you.”
‘Not yours’, I think. The apple remains extended by his grim hand. I struggle to clear my throat. “No thank you,” I croak.
He grimaces and nudges the fruit closer. It rolls onto its side and collides with my arm. “In case you change your mind,” he says calmly, getting up from the opposite seat. When the elevator finally came to a stop, Nico stepped off and turned down the right hall.
He knocked on Percy's door and waited for the green-eyed young man to come to the door. He slid his phone into his pocket as the door opened. He looked up and his eyes widened at the sight before him.
Apollo stood in front of him, soaking wet and clad only in a black towel. The blond had a second towel resting on his dripping wet curls as he stared down at Nico. One of Apollo's eyebrows rose at him as he raised his hands to dry his hair off.

A Luke/Percy one-shot
There was something to be said about having someone sleeping next to you. They could be a source of warmth in the middle of the night when the blankets had been kicked to the foot of the bed because you kind of had that habit. In the middle of the night, maybe it helped to just listen to the sound of their breath as they slept, a little reminder that you weren't alone in the dark. Maybe, in Luke's case, they were there to calm you down after a nightmare that gripped you tight and refused to let go.
Percy was always there when Luke shot upright, a cold, cruel voice echoing in his mind and gold eyes shining in the blackness around him. While Luke's chest heaved, lungs burning and heart racing, Percy's arms were wrapped around him, holding him close, soft whispers reminding the older demigod that it was over. Kronos was defeated long ago, the Titan dispersed into so many pieces that it would take an eternity for him to return; there
