It also explains how to activate your Mature Content filter to alter your browsing experience to suit your personal preferences. dxd, one of the CEA Team, wrote an amazing journal, CEA Blog: Mature Content, which covers misconceptions about Mature Content on dA in detail. Knowing 3D Game Art A Little BetterKnowing 3D Game ArtKnowing 3D Game Art A Little Better2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Hello and welcome to 3D Game-art week! As you all know I have been featuring different kinds of 3D game development work all month long on every odd day (if i have enough to fill it) and to go along with a series of articles giving the community a little more insight on the sub section of the category.
So let's get started shall we Got some awesome artists who help contributed to this and lots of insight. So definitely give it a read!
What is 3D Game art and how is it different from other 3D work?
3D Game art is specifically 3D art that will be used within an original game, game idea, game portfolio or 3D Game art you did at the studio/team you worked at/with and have permission to post. Even one you hope to make some day, as long as that is specified.
"It's getting much harder these days to tell the difference between 3D models used for games, cinema, or other media

This will be a straightforward article that lists some basic literary terms (in alphabetical order) that can be found in, well, literary works. You could use some of these terms to write a spectacular poem or prose piece about cake.
Before we get started, head on over to this other PE article that lists a BUNCH of Poetry Terms and Techniques.

Introduction about making handmade booksINTRODUCTION ABOUT BASIC TOOLS TO MAKE HANDMADE BOOKSIntroduction about making handmade books2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Today I'd like to share with you some basic tips if you're interested in making handmade books. I've learned how to do that a few terms ago, at the university. As an art restoring adept I've been through the old, traditional ways of making books and added some modern touches to simplify that. I'm going non-professional so far, without expensive equipment, so if you'd like to give books a try you don't have to invest that much
The first and obvious thing that's needed for our book is paper. At that stage you have to decide what kind of book you'd like to make - you need lined or squared paper for notebooks, journals, cookbooks and basically everything that's meant to write in. Sketchbooks and scrapbooks require nice smooth plain paper and photo albums work best with thick and durable paper. Of course those are basics, you can use decorated paper or one suitable for

The Journal Feature ChallengeI love featuring art in my journal on a regular basis. There is so much great art around here that I find fascinating and I wish more people could see it. It's a great way to discover new artists and find inspiration. You can always browse and search for art on your own, but in my experience, is a lot more effective to search through collections curated by artists with interests similar to yours, as in their favourites or features in their journals. Besides, is also a great way to show your appreciation for artists you admire! And usually artists do appreciate the promotion when you let them know. The Journal Feature Challenge2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This

PE: Walkthroughs, an alternative way to learnPE: Walkthroughs, an alternative way to learn3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Walkthroughs, alongside tutorials, are always an excellent way to learn. It's really helpful to get educated through a tutorial which tells exactly what to do in a detailed way step by step. However at times what is even more helpful is to actually see the artist in action, there are things you need to see get done by yourself and here is where walkthroughs come into play.
There's always something fascinating about seeing the different stages of the creation process of a piece, and you can always learn from the artists and adapt part of said process to your own.
Besides showing part of this process through images which show the different stages of a piece, and
