Some new button designs, that I tried to make looks like the mane 6 buttons from last september. (I think the mane 6 looked more chibi-fied though haha;; ) I'm trying to progressively get a good chunk of the show cast done before spring conventions. Or hope so/ They are at the moment already available on my Etsy in a set here : [link] Or individually : [link]
Queen Chrysalis done to be a counterpart illustration to the one with Cadence I did when the S2 final aired! (This one : [link] ) This is also printed as an A5 card, ad the first one, that you can see/purchase here : [link]
I'm always really confused on how to draw her leg-holes with (or without?) applying perspective. Chrysalis, you're too hard to draw, damn.
While choosing the request with your art-related pony being dressed up for christmas I also though it may be in her mind to also "dress-up" christmas decorations to her own colors. Hence her painting the mistletoe.
The main cast of MLP: Fim in a somewhat chibi-fied style, to put on 32mm buttons. (That you can see/get here : [link] ) I got a button press at the beginning of the month, so things will be a tad easier for doing others characters and series on this size! You could say I'm quite excited by it.
Twilight always seems out of place with her "Magic", like yeah magic is cool, but... :u
The MLP secret santa's wishlist deadline being quite close, I figured it would be a good timing to refresh my references of Berry Bolt so here we go! With some more details on her this time… Please try to bear with my terrible writing :,I
The old one is here : Name : (Black) Berry Bolt
Description : Berry Bolt is a young adult, small built mare, who lives near Ponyville. Her Cutie Mark is a hammer inside a thunder bolt as her talent is based on her capacity to run quite fast and using her speed as a strength. While being way less hyperactive than Pinkie, she is still quite the energetic type of pony. Most of the time cheerful and decided, she is also a bit of a simple and childish mind. You could say she does not think that much before acting. Curiosity is her main character trait, and sticking her nose in other's business always end up badly for her, BUT SHE DOES IT ANYWAY.
She works as a professional message deliverer in a small private company. As well as there is an official Equestrian state postal service, you could say her company is the private alternative to it. It's essentially for those who want a quality service (we don't say that Derpy doesn't do her job okay, but WELL) faster, at all times of day and night, and perfectly reliable. Her special talent is the key for her to do the job well, although, the kind of fantasists requests she gets from marginal customers (that's what you get by working in the private…) combined with her endless curiosity always gets her in muddy situations.
She lives in a shared house, in the outside of Ponyville, with a big yellow pegasus colt that one day I should design.
Design Points :
Her saddle bag is a custom item, designed by her company, that she only wears for work. It closes under the neck and the chest to prevent it from slipping when she runs. It is also made so that a Earth pony can use it easily : the clipping system is made with magnets, so she can just pull the whole thing on and off easily, and the pockets have long straps that she can grab with her teeth.
Her headDress is there only by her own preference. This is a (fake) laurel crown pinned on the back of her mane (so that her ears can move freely behind it).
Other than that, any accessories that are not too frilly or precious are to her taste and may appears at a time or another~
It's been weeks I'm really tempted to do her a Ask-blog on tumblr, so that may happen soon. :9 I'm not the best at story writing so this would be a good way to train?
Oh, and here are the drawings of here people already made, which is the best thing a character can have :
My second batch of Hamster-ified ponies from MLP:FiM, this time with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the Alicorn Princesses.
The fillies (and colts) have some more chubby and small body type than the adult hams, their head being the same size as the body. The alicorns, while not being that much different in body type than the regular adult ham-ponies, should be taller if they were side to side with each others. (That would be better if I had a size chart sheet... Thing that surely, I should doodle sometimes soon.)
For the next batch of six I'm thinking about doing some colts (Shining Armor, Dr. Whooves and Big Mac) + Vinyl Scratch and Octavia + one mare I haven't yet picked. The one after that should feature some of the vilains (Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, Discord (this one will be hard as hell to do, but hey, challenge.) King Sombra, etc?) Though Maybe I should do the vilains first? :2
A Nightmare Moon picture I did as a design for a postcard (That you can see here : [link] )
I tried another way to line on this one. Not proceeding by re-tracing my lines on a layer above my sketch, but by refining the sketch itself by removing what's useless. I'm not sure this can really be seen as different when you don't know it, though. : ?
Oh, and it's also available as a wallpaper here : [link] Feel free to share a picture if you happen to use it!
The little 4 pages comic I've done last summer for *purplekecleon's MLP artbook : "Merry-Go-Round". I know it has been featured on Equestria Daily yesterday (Thanks for that by the way! It just caused me a few hours of total confusion seeing the sudden afflux of visits lol I almost curled-up in a ball wondering WHY. ALMOST.) so I figured it might as well upload it myself.
You also have another view to it, since these are the original digital files. Even if I don't dislike the texture the printed-then-scanned pages got!
And, yeah, it's about social-anxiety (roughly haha). I felt that point wasn't that much explained in the series, even if included in Fluttershy's character.
Speaking of the book in itself, I will have a few (like, very few : about 10) to sell at french conventions this spring. You (french consorts) will hear more about it when the time comes, but I'm sure to add some bonus to it, to make-up for the lateness compared to the US release! I'm thinking about a small postcard-picture, and a translate sheet with each book at least. Surely more!
