MLPFiM Season 1 Revised OrderMLPFiM Season 1 Revised Order4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
As you all know, Fall Weather Friends should come before Winter Wrap-Up.
There are many concerns about episode chronology when considering season one as a whole. There are a bunch of monsters at the start of the season, while the CMC take over during the second half. The first half is pretty AJ/RD/PP heavy, while the last half is overloaded with Rarity and Fluttershy. The Gala episode has an Everyone Laughs ending, but to me it feels tacked on and anti-climactic, and doesn't work as a season finale as well as Cutie Mark Crusaders would. (S2 update: we now know the Discord episodes were produced as the season/series finale.)
If we take the air order as the chronological order:
episodes 1-10 summer/fall, year 1000 of the Summer Sun Celebration
11 Winter Wrap-Up 1001
12 Call Of The Cutie 1001
13 Fall Weather Friends 1001
14-26: spring/summer 1002

Dear Princess Celestia,
I don't suppose I'll be writing you any more letters after this. Over the years I've said all there is to say about anything worth saying, and saying it again would be useless. Has it really been fifty years since you sent me to Ponyville? It seems like just yesterday I was meeting my friends for the first time, and we were battling with the Elements of Harmony to stop Nightmare Moon. Ah, those were the days. It's been years now since I've had the strength to go on those kinds of adventures. These days I need Spike to help me get up and down the stairs. I'm not as young as I once was.
I'm really writing this to make sure I haven't forgotten to say anything to you in my past letters. I'm very sorry I haven't been sending them as frequently, but I feel like I've already done all there is to do. I know there's always more to learn, but I can't always get out there and learn it. Most of the things I learn now come from books alone. Of course I still see my friend

Write What You Know
Never were four little words so widely misconstrued. They are so unpopular these days, and are met with contrariness and frustration whenever they are invoked. Yet this phrase, more than any other, can be an author's greatest guidance. Here I will interpret this saying in two different ways and clarify the intention behind it.
When struggling writers hear this "write what you know" comment, their first impression might be that they should only write about themselves: their own pasts, families, struggles, time periods, etc. This is not necessarily the case! There are two useful interpretations: (1) write what you've come to know through the experience of life, and (2) know as much as possible about what you are writing.
Write What You've Come to Know through Life Experiences
Recently, I read an article in Writer's magazine on researching for the purpose of writing. Its author stated, "That old dictum write what you know is, in the espionag

It was early in the morning, so early that most of the members of a large farm outside a small town were still asleep. It was so early that the sun not yet peeked over the horizon, leading outside to have a deep shade of magenta. And it was so early that the small sound of trotting within the farmhouse, the careful sound to make sure it doesn’t wake anybody, was unusual.
Within the farmhouse a cream colored earth pony filly with a red mane and a pink bow tied around the back of her mane was walking around a supply room stuffing a few supplies into a cream colored saddle bag with a wooden apple embroidered on the bag. Among those supplies were a saw, a hammer, and some nails. She also grabbed some paper and a pencil and a note from a shelf just to the left of where she was, but she only planned on taking the pencil and paper with her. After making sure that she got everything she needed she walked out of the supply room.
Her next stop within the farmhouse was the kitchen. She didn

These are just a few things I think about if I want to get rid of art block. I will probably add more in the future, but here’s a few now to get you inspired. These are to be done at leisure and don’t have to be in any order. They are for fun.
1 gesture drawing. This is super easy. Basically find a relatively complicated shape, and draw it with as few marks as possible. It doesn’t really have to resemble it in any way. As long as you know what it is. I probably do about 30 of these a day. Honestly they’ve helped a lot with everything. You can add color if you want. For this challenge I recommend doing enough to inspire you rather it be 10-100. (I’ll link some examples).
2 combining an animal and an inanimate object. Select one animal and one object and combine them. I would highly recommend thinking about general shapes of both and using repetition in your design. No imaginary animals (you

They visited for only a short while, whispering heartfelt congratulations and blessings on the infant foal, before Cabbage Leaf and Granny Smith shooed everyone out so the little family could take their rest.
Windfall was wrapped in a soft blanket and laid in a beautiful crib that the younger Apple sister had constructed out of the family's namesake wood, the fragrant planks sanded to such smoothness that they felt like silk to the hoof. Apple Bloom beamed with pride to see her niece nestle in with another precious sigh, as Applejack smiled and ruffled her little sister's mane.
Big Macintosh and Fluttershy climbed back onto the bed together after the lights in the room were lowered, sharing a kiss as Granny Smith gently closed the door.
The aged matriarch of the Apple Clan said her thanks to Cabbage Leaf and slipped her a bag of bits, that the stocky earth pony in turn cheerfully split between herself, Nurse Redheart, and Zecora. Their business concluded, the midwife, herbali

#46) What's with the crazy adoration for brony 'celebrities' [people popular within the fandom]? Some of these people are treated as guests at conventions just as much as people working on the show. It pisses me off that the fandom worships certain popular bronies. What do you think of this?
Answer: It's important to remember that brony 'celebrities', as you put it, are just normal people. And, in some respects, yes, certain individuals are seen through rose-tinted glasses. I always find it amusing when fan-musicians, for example, are featured on guest lists for conventions above people such as Daniel Ingram, the guy responsible for most of the songs in the actual show.
Then again, the fandom likes its idols, and there's no point in getting pissed off just because said idols are receiving a great deal of praise. Most of the brony 'celebrities' deserve at least a portion of their fame, and so it seems fair to say that if people are willing to look up to these people

you are a wildfire: something crazed,

you are dissolving as fast as you're

i am nothing more than a foolish

i am hoping i have the faith
to keep your soul from eroding

Stroke your face down to your chin
Turn that frown into a grin
Wipe away those cruel tears
Fight back against your fears
Hold you to me and claim that right
Turn you away from the dark and into the light
An embrace to sniffle into, a shoulder to cry on
Here's the pair of shoes you never got to try on
Step into them and stay out of the seamy side of life
Away from the trouble, free of the strife
Just turn to me and cry
Turn away from depression and defy

When all your dreams become too brittle
I'm here, whether you want me or not
Never gonna leave you, perish the thought!
I have strength enough for both of us
All I ask for is your trust
Come to me and be beholden
Come to me, I'll make it golden

You're tired, unable to create anything.
You feel angry; the anatomy's wrong!
Why won't these words come together?
"Nothing's right anymore, my hands tremble..."
Yet the solution is fairly simple...
I'm showing it to you now;
Break up your ideas, smaller sized.
They come together, like in Tetris.
Rotate the blocks; shape your art.
Draw chibis and stick figures too.
Instead of epics, try a haiku.
How about a six word story?
If your mind is blocked, overheated.
Let it cool; take it slow.
By attempting all the smaller things,
Your art is sure to grow.

And faster he did. Then he slowed down again.
Exasperated, you stood up from where you were and walked over to him. “Ahomine! It’s been thirty minutes since we started and you’re way behind! I already finished polishing half of the basketballs you guys own and you’re still on your third one!” You angrily stomped your foot.
He briefly looked up from the ball he was cleaning to glare at you. “It’s not like I wanted to clean these balls or the whole gym.” He continued cleaning, albeit slowly.
You glared at the top of his head. “Well, this wouldn’t have happened if you came to the practices on a regular

Derpy was all alone. Some time had passed since Mommy had left Derpy under the tree on top of the mountain, and Derpy was getting very hungry. Derpy decided that Mommy must be coming back soon, so she would make a few more bubbles while she waited. As she made more bubbles one of them seemed to be bigger than the others, and she stopped and watched it intently as it floated slowly in front of her. All the rainbow colors swirling around in the bubble was entrancing to Derpy, and she felt very happy. As she watched the colors play our their endless dance, she no

And why were most of them guys? That…was not cool.

Can’t you do that? you silently begged, but knowing that that wouldn’t be very brave, you nodded uncertainly. The teacher moved out of your way, giving you the center st

My thoughts on TrixieWell, it's been a while since I've done one of these. I've been going back and forth with myself over whether or not to go back to doing these, especially with regard to doing it for this character, but after the last episode I feel that it's time Trixie got her own "My thoughts on" essay. So then, Trixie. The so-called "great and powerful" Trixie, the unicorn who made her debut in "Boast Busters". What strikes me most about Trixie as an antagonist is that, despite clearly opposing the main cast in some way, she never really did anything that bad in her initial episode. True, she boasted the hell out of her abilities at the time, but she wasn't responsible for anything really bad that hap

Spike, the baby dragon, had finished preparing the pedestal where he would be putting his latest find. An object that currently held great value to him. Turning around, he laid his eyes on the object in question. An egg. But this was no ordinary egg. For this was the egg of a phoenix. A majestic bird and very rare. Only a handful of people in the whole world owned such a creature, such as Princess Celestia, one of the co-rulers of this land.
Spike looked at the egg with pride. It was a beautiful thing to behold. A bright orange and yellow orb, the colours of fire. Fitting for a bird who's life, ad subsequently their death, revolved around fire. But he was particularly pleased because of what it represented for him. For he had gained this egg by defying his violent dragon nature and overcoming the de
