She has lost the love of her life in a battle, hence the title ‘Bleeding Heart’. I wanted to painted an actual heart with blood dripping through her fingers but I felt that it would be too gory and dark for my taste. So I went with a glowing heart shaped thingy
This has been featured in MindOfLead (Art community). Thanks a lot guys.
Phew! It's done! This sure is in much higher quality than in my previous contest entry simply because I found out about this in time and could plan it much better, I didn't want to rush this one and I'm happy that I didn't since it's really important to me.
EDIT: Forgot to mention what tools I used! I hope that it's okay that I add it now! ;_;
The tools used for this picture was a Wacom Intuos 5 Medium tablet and Manga Studio 5.
I want to give the gift of protection for someone who have fought so much already. Still, ever since we met she has looked after me, taken care of me and protected me. Even though she didn't had to, she did. I want to do the same for her. I do what I can, but I wish so much more for her. You know when you meet someone and you just want to protect that person from any kind of harm, just thinking about the storm that person has been standing in and the battles the person has fought just makes you feel like crying because it's not fair. Whenever she falls asleep I'm just filled with this overwhelming feeling of wanting to protect her, like my arms can't wrap around her enough. It's really hard to write about this because it's a feeling that I so rarely put into words because it's just... so hard to do it, it's simply a feeling and I felt that drawing it was much easier than explaining it.
But all in all, I want to give the gift of protection for my beloved girlfriend Rebecca because she truly deserves it and much much more. I guess that's the short story!
Apart from the direct relation to the contest, I chose a more evil looking armour for me both because it would feel really strange to make a hero-looking one but also because sometimes I just feel that everybody else but her can go to hell and it's not very hero-like way of thinking either... It's not that I hate people but sometimes you're just so tired of humans, I bet most people has felt like that at some point in their lives! Also of course I had to add Miss Despair like horns because of the relation between her (if you're unaware of who she is, she's an original character of mine) and me, couldn't resist it! She's always with me. Of course I gave Rebecca a bright looking armor, she'll always be a hero to me.
And now I feel embarrassed... Even more embarrassed when I realise that she will see this.
I'll go and work on a game now I think.
In case it's not clear, the characters in the picture is like RPG versions of me and my girlfriend...
this is a illo i did for Halloween as part of the d.a. contest "scary movie". I choose hellraiser and pinhead just cause i figured he would be fun to do and also as a change up from the cute illos I have been doing for other Halloween projects.

As a new member, The Crusader had a lot to learn from the elder heroes. “Is this dagger good for me?” He asked. The Monk was busy digging in her bag. She said nothing. The Wizard was busy playing with her new ring. She said nothing. The Barbarian was lost in his nostrils. He said nothing. Seems The Witch Doctor was the only one who was aware of The Crusader. And she said: "Where is The Demon Hunter!?"
