ourselves in the next generation's face?
Do eyes and lips and hair a full soul make,
or do conscience and mores also share place?
The legacy left behind lies ahead:
not in DNA strands, replicated
rather in kindnesses easily shed
and big ideas, praising words quickly said.
The world weeps with children aplenty,
hungry, enslaved, pitiful in the streets.
What use to them, rigid identity,
who, in seeking food, often find defeat?
Beauty resides not in a comely face
but in our ardor for this human race.

Aiyana stepped forward into the garden, watching as the swing moved back and fro on its own accord.
It was only as she got closer that she saw with the gleam of the moon, that in fact it was not moving on its own at all. A pair of see-through legs, moved the swing into motion, the legs leading up to a small petite body of a young girl, who was humming a little tune as she swung forwards and back.
“Hello.” said Aiyana in greeting. “Are you alright there?”
The girl stopped at her words, her hands tightening around the ropes of the swing. Her humming having ceased with her movement.
“I’m Aiyana, What’s your name?” she said, trying a different approach to engage the young girl.
The girl started twist her head slowly towards Aiyana, and the redhead froze, her eyes widening once she saw clearly the girl's face. Where the her eyes should have been, there were only blackened sockets, trickles of blood moving down her pale white cheeks. The girl s

Life had been cruel towards her.
"If only I could see for a moment, to see the colors of this world, to see my family's faces, to see the mountains, the sea, the birds... Whatever I have only heard about until now, I wish I could see it too.... "
People say that sight is the faith. But for her this was not entirely true. She had lost her eyesight at the age of 5 years old. The memories of those that she had seen had faded so much, that she would hardly recognize even herself any more.
She could currently see using her other senses. Walking in the streets of her city was a piece of cake. She could smell the rain before it dropped, but she could not watch it fall. She could feel the sun on her face, but she could not see it rise or set.
She often hated herself, she hated what she was. People around her were saying that she was so beautiful and that all of her skills surpassed the skills of all normal people - she played the piano so nice and her voice was angelic. She was smart, f

“We are going to get caught, and when we do, do you know what's going to happen to us? Jail, we're both going to go to jail.” Throwing your arms in the air, you let out a frustrated sigh. “I don't want to go to jail. I have a really good life, I'm happy.”
Dark Link, who you now lovingly referred to as Dink, placed his hand over your mouth. “If you would shut your mouth for even a second, it would greatly lower our chances of getting caught. Not to mention it would really raise our chances of success.” After a quick peek over the bushes to make sure no one heard you, he looked back down at you. “Now please, try to be a little more quiet.” Slowly he removed his hand from your mouth. “Now follow me.” While on hands and knees, Dink crawled under bushes and scurried through the open areas until he felt safe.
Tired from crawling all that way, you leaned against a grey stone wall of the castle and cau

There's a battle inside of me,
It dwells deep down.
A battle between good and evil.
A battle for my soul.
Good may be reigning
But evil still is stirring.
A wicked grasp upon my heart,
I try to break it,
I try to stall.
Devious thoughts run through my mind,
Should I fight it?
Should I try?
Fiendish thoughts should not be thought,
A nagging in my head.
Sin and mischief
Should not be woken.
Sin and evil
