Not all OC’s need to be related to canon. Perhaps you could be creative and come up with a few more characters to be related to your OC.

Having OC’s who are the children or siblings of canon characters is quite common, while having an OC who is the parent of a canon character is less popular.
Stick to less popular canon characters. Almost all OC’s are the siblings/children of highly popular characters. Try to pick a more forgotten, less popular character for you OC to be related to.
