I know some people design in collections, but when I get inspiration for a piece it usually comes in a flash.
The piece on a model with makeup and lighting and everything posing in the way that best compliments the piece.
and then its gone.
This specific design came to me while I was working my day-job. I was thinking about Alexander McQueen's latest runway show and how raw and sexually charged it was.
Thinking back, This design is a culmination of most of the things I've come to love in the fahsion world.
The mermaid style skirt, "New Look" style lapels and panniered couture hips of the top all reference the glamour of Dior both under the original designer and through the looking glass of John Galliano.
The patent leather all over effect is a call to the edgy and sexy appeal of the clothes of Alexander McQueen
The 18th century detailing in the stitching is all a reference to my favorite century in fashion
TA DAA! Maybe this will be a theme for a later collection.
(I picture a 'courtesan' traveling across the desert, going from saloon outpost to saloon outpost on the search for something better than what she has; a life that's better than what she has. She still has the sex appeal, but its not all in showing skin. Her sex appeal has become apart of her being and is expressed in anything she wears.)
PLEASE NOTE: I do not allow any use of my designs.
because Balael simply has rocking clothes. For an idea that would not leave my head, inspired by a riding crop and, thus, dominatrix-wear. Everything is shiny black vinyl, the super dark places are colored this way to help the eyes make sense of what's going on.
My design for a Black Parade costume I absolutely MUST make this summer... I must say it was quite inspired by these two deviations: [link] + [link] Both are amazing and you should really check them out I've put in the artline sketch with some annotations for material and such, and also a digitally coloured one for how I want it to look when it's done. Sorry for my dodgy shading, seems like forever since I last did any~~
My character Shosuro Tsuzoku meets with NPC Itaono no Kamakiri, a Mantis courtier, to discuss matters of business outside the Scorpion embassy in Toshi no Kurushimi.
Originally I forgot Itaono's moustache and I only added it in right before I scanned it in, so I can't quite get used to seeing it on his face. (Also if it had been up to me I would have made it way more twirly and cool!)
'Among the Spell-swords, there is a warrior who befriended what he was trained to destroy, his family, the last line of "dragon slayers", tasked him to destroy a very young yet powerful dragon, but apon meeting this creature, his heart ached to harm the small drake( as it was not fully developed), the dragon was clever despite it's young age, he derived a plan to cut off and show his tail to the elders, and in return, the dragon survived, and the spell blade studied Fire from studying the drake's development, his tail formed into a blade (dark soul's, why do make your way into a lore.... if you haven't played it anything with a tail you can cut off a tail and obtain the weapon, like the gargoyle tail greataxe) it's blade branded it's charred red scales, and the bone made up the sharpened edge, but the dragons till lives, they never forgot their deal, but neither intend to break it at anytime.'
