The ZP Intro Arc writing is going WELL!
Seriously I'm so stoked, this might actually get written by the time I return to NYC, and once back I can get myself some Bristol board and start on the real pages.
My friend Keri's boyfriend Zach might help me with making a website to host the comic on, also will probably consult my friend Stephen for it as well, cause I'm no good with websites and stuff, at least not with making them all fancy and nice.
I'm so ready to start the comic up, so far its 46 pages, and still writing it, the intro is gonna be a tad long cause of the fact its a well -introduction- to the crazy world I've been building all these years, I really hope people enjoy it and it works. I really am just excited for the stories following this intro.
In other news, next semester in my animation class we will be starting work on our second year films, which havta be a minute in length.

I have completed 30 Pages of ZP thus far, and that is officially half way through the entire arc.
At this rate it will DEFINITELY start this summer.
and the intro may even be updated daily, as I have learned I can churn out 4 pages in one day if I devote an entire day.

I'd say "good riddance" but a lot of amazing things happened this year, but also many things happened this year that I want to forget.
Lost friends, gained friends.

ZP is finally starting to get into the groove, the next few arcs will have more going on in them AND I will be launching my second webcomic Mirage sometime in January!

Mirage will update once(maybe twice) a week, and will be about how one of the ZP villains exists before she enters into the ZP story, so it's like a "meanwhile" story to ZP, and eventually the two comics merge!

First off, I am NOT accepting any requests or art trades. I will VERY RARELY accept requests, but if I ever do, it would most likely be in a livestream or something.
With art trades, I'm only inviting others to do trades with me. Very rarely will I accept an art trade request, and if I do the artist who sent said request to me should at least know how to draw at a decent level. I know that may sound a bit harsh, but the fact is that the art trade gimmick is, sadly, often used to just get some free art from artists.
Also, I feel like I should state my current workload so you guys can have an idea on just how much work I have piled up to do:
- I've got 3 commissions to finish

- I have a ton of personal projects I wanna get to work on after I finish all the art I owe.

Credit Where Credit Is DueGetting credited for the work you do is the most simple wish that is shared by every single artist alive. Whether you draw stick figures doing something silly, or unique master works of scenes from fantastical worlds, or characters ranging from simple and cartoony to complex, detailed and realistic. So it is incredibly understandable to be upset or disheartened when people mistake work you do for the work of another artist. Whether be simply because they saw the character or concept done by someone else first before seeing what was originally done. Or just something similar.
It can be as simple as not checking the credits most artists give when they draw characters that belong to others, it can be a careless first glance mistake, but that doesn't really excuse the fact that when you mistake a character or concept for the wrong artist who did it, it annoys and hurts them.

I'm only going off of my own personal experiences talking about these few things. (And I'm not specifically talking about ONLY dA here.) So take it with as many grains of salt as you can.
I've recently been asked questions like "How do I get people to see my work?", "Why am I not receiving commission inquiries?", "Why isn't anyone following my work?", "What can I do to get better?". Often, and I answered it before, the answer is as simple as this:
Create.
Create, as in, DRAW. PAINT. RENDER. SCULPT. You have to do develop a tolerance (or the obvious definition: LOVE) for creating if you want exposure and to get better. You have to LOVE the drawing or illustration that you HATE how it came out in the end. You have to ask yourself after every piece, what could I have done to do that differently. And you have to do this frequently.
Some folks come on the scene, post once or twice a week, and expect an audience to flock yo

First I like to say this artist is one of the funnest artist to talk to, and her anthro artwork is just enough to blow your friggin mind! It's like combining peanut butter with chocolate into a tasty ice cream sundade treat of anthro goodness! I swear if your into anthro based art, it's a crime not to watch her. I know someone who was (maybe still is).. intimidated by other people's artwork because it was so much better than theirs. This someone would think to themselves, "Oh, I'm a terrible artist because I cannot get to this level of superior artsyness ksjajkdfcriesincorner."
It's not about that.
You can only be a great artist when you accept the fact that some people will have a greater talent in this ability than you. I used to be this kind of person, I thought I couldn't get a career in art if I couldn't paint as good as this girl who was two years younger than me. Okay oh gosh picking just three was a struggle buut I managed it ye. ok. I really like your attention to detail, like you can pick out and draw things that make each character individual and yet you can keep the awesome cartoony style! This comes into your own characters, not just when drawing other peoples and it's really awesome! And your shading is really great too! You're great with both the pixel brush and the soft brush and can mix the two really well.

When people become so blinded by their own views of events, even though they maybe in the wrong others can still love and care about them with the belief that one day they might see again.
Someone always taught me to be kind to people and they will return that kindness I know that this is not true you can be very sweet and nice to anyone and they may return nothing but hate... but deep down you can still feel nice inside knowing that you did the right thing.
Forgiving people is always a great step to repair...somethings cannot be forgiven though but I believe these are only for bad cases such as robbery and murder, everyone deserves more than two chances and everyone makes mistakes we are only human.
Stress and conflict can turn someone into something they are not and blind them into hurting others...
I have a few people who are currently like this... I cannot let such people drift as sometimes people need someone to punch at and it is best to be the one f

Man, I felt SO GOOD there. Even when I was in college before that it was fun! OK, not as fun as getting into art college (i.e. university).
Just how I had projects to do and likeminded people around me, people who also loved art. It was awesome!
I kinda wish I used more opportunities when I was there - I commuted instead of staying in the city, so I missed the nightlife and roaming around. It didn't seem important to me then; I guess nothing does when you're younger.
If I did go back, I'd rather be in a course that was at least BA-level or above. idk, I'd feel weird starting at a lower level. I'd love to do a PhD, but can PhD students have as much fun as Bachelors or Masters students?

Aqua Bunny Oekaki, for me, was where I got first introduced to most of everything. The internet. The Nido family. So many people I can easily call my friends. New art styles. Artwork done with the computer.
I made the decision recently to go into the field of animation. I'm currently taking steps to prepare me for it all. Computer classes at school. Training from other nerd friends. I also plan to go to Full Sail University down in Florida (or at least hoping to go..). I'm also taking a Pre-AP arts class at my school next year and an AP class after that. The thing about all this is that, if it weren't for ABO, I wouldn't have found a passion in all this. I would never had gotten into computer work. I also wouldn't have been introduced to Full Sail Univ. either.

For those trying to draw on websites like Tegaki E but are running on Windows 7 that came with Tablet PC/Flicks/Pen and Touch program.
First off.
In your Start button on the bottom left, type in Services in the Search. Click Services and scroll down to find Tablet PC Input Service. Right click and change it's Status to Stopped. Right click again and go to Properties. In the General tap look for "Startup type:", change it from Automatic to Disabled.
Next...
In your Start button go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off. Looks for the folder that says Tablet PC Components and uncheck it.
To make sure it's extra dead...
Go to Start button again and type in Pen and Touch in the Search. Select it and it'll take you to a little window. In Pen Options select Start Tablet PC Input Panel and uncheck Enable start Input Panel gesture. Try to uncheck as much as you
