an almost stillness, as if we stepped no more.
Beneath, below the decaying ancestors and sewage swamps,
there lies the pumping piece, the esprit de corps;
the children that crayon the concrete with glee,
see now washed away memories in us .
We want to succeed, survive and thrive in tiny towns,
destruction is never a subject to discuss.
Yet as I journey through our jumbled streets,
I notice the air is dead and sidewalks are sinking.
Paint is peeling off abandoned buildings and
the places flowers flourished are fastly shrinking.
My city's soul is wilting, withering from the lac

it's the same repeating scene.
All the pain has no purpose,
as I watch, the slicing scalpel gleam.
I think I used to have a choice,
now by your blood I am bound.
I search for sounds that I withhold,
fuck is the only word that I've found.
Oh no,
Every second is exactly the same.
I lie awake at night, my lips on your name,
couldn't be more clear, all there is to gain.
No one but myself is left with the blame.
I can feel their eyes are watching.
Was I ever really sane?
Then I realize I am nowhere near,
what I, illusioned was the end.
It was when you first departed,

Losing the BattleThe weight of woe is smothering.Losing the Battle3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It settles over my body
with a sediment of sullenness.
Coats in a cancerous way
that spreads, laying waste
to ground I've gained.
Crumbles beneath my feet,
brings my palms to the pavement
with a SLAP! and a stifled scream.
I fight against this feeling,
gripping the roots of my will.
It's holding my head under,
pinning me down with pain.
Darkness is a dangerous place
where nightmares come to life.
If I cover my eyes they claw past
my fingers and explode in my vision.
I can't blink with it buried
in my iris, augmenting it an
agonizing hue.
Blood-shot and burning from

That I'm here, alive, kicking
Screaming,
I wonder how long it'll take you to realise
That I'm not just a shadow
That I'm not just a reflection,
I wonder how long it'll take for you to listen
Just once
To recognize me
As your friend and not
As a ghost,
Just take note that,
I'm still here you know
So look at me,
I'm transparent
Like glass, you see right through me
Like you, I am nothing.

His blood warmed my hands as the heat left his body.
My shadow loomed ten feet tall; his became a chalk outline.
He felt his skin separate as my blade slid in.
Classic scene: dark night, unsuspecting girl walking home alone.
Here's the twist-
little girls carry big blades.
Concealed up my sleeve I keep a steel dagger waiting to be worn by a body.
Whether it be fate or the man's fucked up mental state; his choices left him sprawled on the pavement.
To add a touch of softness to this tale; the last thing the man laid eyes on was a satellite's soft glow. I stood transfixed for a while afterward, locked on its sl

Through the billowing black smoke, a sliver of sunlight shines on his face. The warmth caresses his skin like a long-lost love, who he has left behind with his boyhood. The sharp cold of steel grips against his flesh, and he remembers where he is. He leans forward and stares through a bullet hole in the wall. The side of the hideout has been peppered with shots, creating miniature windows of death across it's width. The distant crac

Fear of death created broken trusts,
They scattered far the remnants of They Who Built,
A shattered mind, a ruined force,
Lies bubble up from a lust for strength.
For too tantalizing are the words,
The need for power clouds all thought,
And so comes but poisoned action,
Greed makes for the perfect mist, and from it falls the price.
"They who shattered shall be scattered!"
Lock themselves away and divide the power,
Ignorant that they have played their hands,
Wants and needs, born from sheer deceit,
Breaks through- brings forth!
Here comes the one!
A way is paved, a light is dimmed,

Close your eyes and relax in my embrace.
I see your tattered wings and broken body and I know that you have fallen.
With your bloodied hands and your dirty feet it's clear to me that you're no longer walking on clouds.
I love you in spite of your imperfections, and I will be with you through it all.
Take my hand and squeeze it tight when the pain is overwhelming.
Lay your head on my shoulder and let the tears flow when you feel you've had enough.
I'll pull you closer and hold you tighter when I start to feel you slipping.
Stay with me and forget the world and all the suffering it has brought you.

Faces Of Mine
A smile once so true
It changed direction over time
I knew it was there because of you
But it was just belief based from a lie
Hope cannot be granted
And then stripped away
You have left my core tainted
With these wicked games that you play
May it be a lesson
Or turn it into fact and truth
Love won't be as important
As I use these scars as my proof

These eyes were once so hopeful
It was considered the rise after the fall
But my tears became unfaithful
As pain plunged out of my skull

I'm starting my journey into the begotten future
To find all the missing pieces of my heart that I need to nurture
I'll have to search far and wide and it make take a few years
but I'll grow as a person and face many of my fears
As I slowly grow older and farther from you
I'll never forget our memories and the day that you knew
that I was too much for you or maybe to little
and decided to leave me behind and not to dwindle

Deep inside myself, I smiled with glee as the ray of light struck my single open eye. Though normal sight was denied me, I could sense things beyond the ken of mere mortals and I knew that this fateful light spelled an end to my earthly torments. My careful sowing of madness' seeds in my hapless young assistant was about to bear fruit in my death.
My evil saga had begun many years before. I was born the second son of minor nobility, the Earl of _________. Dear father had squandered most of the family fortune, and my older brother was fast consuming the remainder. My poor mother surren

"This is a bad idea..." The fourteen year old ravenette grumbled to herself, as she shoved the small torch into her back pocket, before she hooked all ten of her fingers into the wire fence and hoisted herself up. It shook and rattled under her weight. The toes of her shoes managed to fit into the diamond-shapes that was the fence, making it easier for her to scale it and leap right off from the top, as soon as she had swung her legs over the other side. Although she had told her closest friends that she wasn't afraid of being outside at night time, all alone, she still felt butterflies flickering around in the bottom of her stomach.
"Ugh !"

Sci-fi is easy to me,

I'm sorry,
Like Tennant, I'm so sorry,
But I haven't the faintest clue.

How much can they make a person waver in fear?
They told her, they told her to do it.
"I had to", she kept saying while her hands remained around the throat of youth
Oh how those words echo in the mind
The memories of her transgressions will never fade
The smile from her face, is the smile of one lost to this world
What can a person do for someone who has gone past the blink of sanity?
There is no cure, there is only despair
The more you send her away, the more unpredictable she becomes.
At any moment she will snap and your mind will go blank

I had a dream we went to a park

In my dream we walked to a park and we ran into your friends
They told me things about you
You denied it to the end
In my dream you were on the floor dying
I finally snapped and attacked
I guess that’s what you get for lying
