Tiny Avengers: Chapter 8 Pepper was used to overworking.Tiny Avengers: Chapter 83 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
She worked for Tony Stark. Of course she was.
But although her job often involved stress, she had never been under so much pressure. The worst part was that it wasn't just professional pressure this time... It was personal pressure.
The bags under her eyes were now so deep that they were more like caves. They took up an enormous portion of her face, leaving her looking not unlike a panda. She was rather gaunt and unkempt, and her face was hollow.
The children would have been worried... But they weren't awake to know, or care.
The only ones who hadn't succumbed were Thor, Loki and Steve. Steve had the serum going for him, of course, and Thor and Loki weren't even human. But, judging by their behavior, it wouldn't be long until they too lay twitching and moaning.
Thor tripped dazedly towards his brother, murmuring incoherently. Loki appeared almost equally confused,
Elle and Mias: Chapter 62Sleep refused to visit Mias that evening and this time it was not because he wanted to bask in the afterglow of his sexual performance. No, it was a worry that kept him from falling asleep amongst the comforting textures of his silk and satin pillows and bed sheets, not too mention Elle's soft and warm body tucked under his arm like a favorite stuffed toy. His mind couldn't fathom what sort of beast had the strength, both in body and in mind, to best Berenos in battle.Elle and Mias: Chapter 623 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The window blew open slowly with the help of an autumn wind and a shadow blocked the moonlight from stretching onto the bed. Mias had a visitor.
"I figured you'd summon me soon enough, so I took the liberty of arriving before you realize this is beyond you," a male voice said.
"And just what do you know about this that I don't?" Mias asked, gingerly turning Elle onto her side so he could slip out of bed without disturbing her.
"You're the target," the man said.
"Is that so?" Mias found his shirt at the foot of the bed an

Ferb lay on his back sprawled out on the living room floor, his arms and legs completely straightened out. But he had not moved at all in the past hour, and only stared up with a blank expression at the beige ceiling. He was listening to the clock tick, and after counting it multiple times had discovered that it was off by a second.
Perry lay beside him in much the same position, and also had the same expression as he stared at the wall. He, too, was sprawled out, but on his stomach instead.
"I'm bored," Ferb told Perry, who made no notion of responding or even hearing him. Ferb reached up and scratched his own head; it was the first time he had moved his arm in over twenty minutes, and it had started to go numb.
"What am I supposed to do all day?" he presented the question to Perry, who did not acknowledge it.
A key clicking in the front door caused both Ferb and Perry to look up with interest. It waved open an

It had been a little over two hours since the group of teenagers started their expedition. Although there had been nothing but creaks and cold drafts so far, no one complained that it was boring.
Buford shook his flashlight by the handle as its batteries rattled around inside and the bulb flickered. "I think my juice is dying," he said as he hit it with his palm. There was a quiet zap as the light dimmed and faded. "Yep, it's out."
"Let's all just stay close together, then," Phineas said as Buford, Ferb, Isabella, Baljeet and Irving all gathered in the beam being cast by Phineas' flashlight.
"Good thing we have two flashlights," Baljeet commented. "Or else we would be stuck in total dar--"
Phineas' flashlight flickered and died. Isabella screamed and Irving jumped out of his socks and fell onto the floor with a thump.
"Don't panic, guys!" Phineas insisted as he shook the flashlight in his hands.

"Well, you can always leave."
"I might do just that." Perry set a bag of popcorn in his lap and started eating.

"Mm hmm. And I'll probably put it in my memory box. My first time eating popcorn at a debate."

She squeaked as Tony yanked her off her feet and started swing-dancing with her. "About time you woke up," he grinned.
Pepper looked around. Loki and Thor were inexplicably dancing Gangnam Style, despite the fact that the song wasn't even playing. Natasha, Bruce and Clint had started a conga line and Steve was slow dancing... By himself.
Fury suddenly burst into the room wearing a bright pink tutu, followed by Maria Hill, who was wearing an alligator costume. They started disco dancing wildly, and Pepper shook her head violently. "Cannot unsee," she groaned.
The roof opened and Coulson was lowered down on a platform wearing a really long green cloak and a bright purple tiara.
"Coulson, you're alive!" shrieked Pepper.
"Of course he is," said Maria, and everybody gave Pepper a funny look.

The Linoone wasn't left convinced by this, but could tell she shouldn't press the subject any further. It wasn't the first time this happened, Lauren had been doing it from time to time for the last few days.
Lauren wasn't indeed OK, she had had this strange urge for something since a time and it was starting to become noticeable. To put it in short words she felt... limited, bounded, trapped.
It had been a while since she had been finally free of the Pokeball in which she had been held captive for a long time. She had a new master now as well as several teammates which she knew could spent time and count with. It was by much better than being kept in storage.

"Eew!" Baljeet squealed. "That is slimy!"
"He's been chewing on it all day." Phineas said.
"That's so cute!" Isabella said. She took hold of Snugglebear's right leg. "Wanna play tug of war, Perry?"
Perry growled threateningly.
"Okay. Guess not." Isabella released Snugglebear's leg. Perry picked Snugglebear up in his mouth and began to shake him back and forth.
"He's really possessive over that bear." Phineas said. "He won't let anyone touch it. Mom tried to take it from him so she could wash it, and he practically bit her arm off."
Perry continued to shake Snugglebear. Snugglebear hit Buford in the face.

Ferb sat up as well. He looked out the window, and then slumped back down against his pillow.

Perry felt drowsy as the rain pattered against the window. He slowly started to fall asleep.
Another crash sounded from outside. Perry yawned and went over to Phineas's pillow. He patted down a spot and curled up.
He glanced over at Ferb. Ferb was staring nervously at the wall in front of his bed.
"It's not going to fall over." Perry said sleepily.
"Hm?" Ferb asked.
"The wall isn't going to come down from the rain. If that's what you were worried about."

"Irving doesn't send us notes. Besides, he's known where we sleep ever since we were eight."
"Three!" A muffled Irving voice called.
"Don't worry. Probably just some prank." Perry crumpled the note up and tossed it back to Phineas.
"Is everything okay?" Ferb asked.
Perry shrugged. "Just family issues."
"Are they coming to mob you with help again?"
They were silent for a moment.
"I'm sorry." Phineas said.

Birds' calls echoed throughout the forest as they prepared to fly Southward. The trees had been blanketed in snow overnight, and the forest glistened with the new frost. Luckily for MoonClan, the majority of the snow had been caught in the abundance of trees, so not much of it touched the ground just yet. A lone figure stalked through the forest, ears perked for any signs of life on the chilly forest floor.
Patchstar opened her mouth again to scent for prey, but once again she was disappointed. Most of the animals must be preparing for Leaf-Bare, as were the Clan cats. The tortoiseshell made a mental note to get some hunting patrols out before the snow set in permanently.
"How does SnowClan enjoy this...?" she fluffed out her fur, her breath catching on the air. Looking up towards StarClan, all she saw was tree limbs that had caught the snow. The stars wouldn't be out at this time of day anyway.
The wind picked up, just a little more than the gentle breeze before. The trees sway

“Persephone, I brought her here to marry me.” She was just as he imagined: full of life and love. She was always dancing, joyously, with her multitude of flowers and trees bowing to her. The sunlight, all at once, radiated from her skin as she absorbed it. He could not picture a woman more suited to his tastes and desires than she. She would be his goddess. She would bring life to the Underworld. She would all at once rule over death and life—with him at her side. He would know
