Pretty damned solid Will!
You're makin it hard for me to find stuff to call.
I suppose this is technically the last episode for you this season. Wish we could celebrate somehow. It's been a solid, solid season for music score. You and your team are definitely killin it, and i'm sure the Bronies will feel it too. They're gonna have youtube videos where they extract the dialogue and SFX and just listen to the score!
Thanks for an awesome third season!
We were actually taking about this particularly in reference to the score for (omitted). We all agreed that you really took the scores for season 3 to a new level... so thanks for all your work this season!

new filmSo I finished scoring a new film a month or so back.new film2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I remember seeing the beginning of it a year or so back and thinking "OMFG what are they thinking!!!!", and then life went on, and then I got the film to score and...
It was frigging great. The people who put it together, whom I have been working with for some time, REALLY did a GREAT job, and I really enjoyed scoring it, and it just is friggin' great.
Going to the premiere tomorrow here in Lala land.
Everyone worked so hard on this thing, and it shows. In every frame, in every line.
And everyone felt that the music totally elevated the film, so I did my job as well.
I have been a busy dude.

I am really sorry to have had any part in yet another steaming bag of fan drama being dumped on our collective Canterlot doorstep.
Thanks everyone for being so kind and supportive and for tolerating my ridiculously long post. I'm in awe, actual, slack-jawed, glazed expression awe over the outpouring of support and good mojo from folks.
I shouldn't need to say this, but please DO NOT resort to death threats or ANY kind of harm directed at the MLPArtConfessions blog. As sentient adult human creatures we are more than capable of disagreeing with words that don't invoke violence. Seriously, don't. DO NOT. DONUT. We are better than this. I don't care if it is "just the internet" everyone needs to get over the knee-jerk reaction to start slinging threats and violence around as if it means nothing. My friends are not sadists or bullies.
For the past two days I've been weeding death, rape and all sorts of violent imagery out of my
CharismaI just read this and I think it is so true:Charisma3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Here are the 10 habits of remarkably charismatic people:
1. They listen way more than they talk.
Ask questions. Maintain eye contact. Smile. Frown. Nod. Respond--not so much verbally, but nonverbally.
That's all it takes to show the other person they're important.
Then when you do speak, don't offer advice unless you're asked. Listening shows you care a lot more than offering advice, because when you offer advice in most cases you make the conversation about you, not them.
Don't believe me? Who is "Here's what I would do..." about: you or the other person?
Only speak when you have something important to say--and always define important as what matters to the other person, not to you.
2. They don't practice selective hearing.
Some people--I guarantee you know people like this--are incapable of hearing anything said by the people they feel are somehow beneath them.
Sure, you speak to them, but that particular falling tree doesn't make a sound i

"Stupid scavengers," Eleanor said.
I watched the birds, saying nothing for a minute. But then I said:
"They're noble birds of the sea, not stupid scavengers. Look at how beautifully they are colored, the same as the sand and the clouds in the sky. And look at how their beaks are made to stick deep into the sand to burrow for crabs. And look how elegantly they hold their position against the wind, and how they can fly for great distances across the open sea."
We stared at the birds.
"They are beautiful, dad."
"I know, Eleanor. It's a little sad."
"Well, Eleanor, it is because of humans that they are distracted from their noble, original purpose. And what of our original purpose? Are we so much different? Look at us, chasing after cars, money, power, fashion, position. How much different ar
On fandom, fans, and trollsI just flew in from Seattle, and I had a great time. In many ways it was one of the best cons I've been to. For my own part, everyone I met and encountered, from staff to attendees to VAs to friends old and new, were positive and the people incredibly kind and brilliant. I was witness to countless incidents of generosity and honesty and solidarity. Rarely have I smiled so hard or as often in the company of so many good people and admirable fans.On fandom, fans, and trolls3 years ago in Personal More Like This
But, sadly, it seems not every experience this past weekend was so positive.
Before My Little Pony I had no real experience with the concept of fandom beyond what I read with horror, and, admittedly a certain amount of amusement on internet websites and forums. But here I am, happily lost in a sea of technicolor unicorns and pegusi. I can't say I've been part of the MLP fandom since it began, I was actually somewhat late to the world of ponies. But I have seen it grow from a relatively sma

So we finally welcome back season 3 of MLP! I'm very excited for this season to unfold, and I hope that all of you are avoiding all the spoilers and commercials like you should be!
Next week, my first episode of season 3 airs, "Too Many Pinkie Pies." I had a blast working on this episode with my amazing board partner Dave. I have never gotten to do a full-on Pinkie Pie episode, so this was definitely a fun one for me.
Looking forward to seeing more fan content, I'm always amazed at all the talent out there!
Hope ya'll enjoy!

Mike Thompson on piano (from the Eagles, Don Henley)
Weird Al on Accordion
Bermuda Schwartz on drums
Larry Antonino on stand Up bass (air supply, pablo cruise, etc.)
Tom Evans on woodwinds (tonight show band, glen frey, etc, etc.
I am going to track everyone live in my living room.
Should be a lot of fun.
Can't believe these serious A-list would do this for me for so little money.
It's because we're friends.
My friends are awesome to do this for me! Mike flies in from a show Sunday and then is just coming over.
I am one happy dude.
Time for more coffee.

Floored. So I was just going thru a folder on my desktop that contains pretty much every single piece of fan art I've gotten since this whole pony craze began. And I sat back and stopped and realized - holy hell, this is just...amazing. I mean, every time I get something new, I am so flattered at the fact that somebody would want to take their time out to draw something for *me*. It boggles my mind, but I love each and every one of them...regardless of skill level.Floored.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I just had a moment where I just felt completely moved with happiness at the thoughtfulness and generosity...and I just wanted to say thank you AGAIN to everyone and anyone who has taken time out of their daily lives to be creative and share that with me. It means the world.
Keep it up

No, I didn't watch the conferences from yesterday, my internet conection is quite crappy and didn't let me watch them. That and also this little detail of having a full time job. But I got to see the PS4 presentation in a half decent quality, that's basically all I wanted to see But ya know? I didn't need to watch them! I know of everything that got presented thanks to twitter, tumblr and facebook. The best way to know about this kind of events today is through the social networks
Aaaaanyway. With this E3 I realized I'm definitely more of a retro, old-school (boring, if you want) gamer who's stuck with the crappy graphics and tech limitations of the 90's and early 00's. The industry just doesn't excite me anymore. I know, I know, I sound like a hipster, but trust me, I'm not! ... I don't have the hair. It's just that for me all these new games look incredible indeed, the graphics are to die for, the sound, music, graphic effects, wow! and at first glance it excites

I am incredibly honored to have TWO pieces of art lurking around DHX studios!
One is the giant-enormous-mega-big collaborative poster made by Tygerbug, Timon1771, the always incredible egophiliac, and myself. Apparently it's the first thing you see when you step off the studio elevator. Well, either that or, if you're having a very lucky day, James Wootton's super-manly facial hair! Here's a bigger version of the image on Timon's DA page. I was responsible for Trixie, Snips, Snails, the parasprites, Tank, Owlicious, Gummy, Discord, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Winnona, Applebloom, and Jayson Thiessen pon

I say, Old Horse
The thing is I balk at the idea of copying a fellow pony. That would make me the same. A pony might call me 'Samey-same-pants from-Sameville' and not be entirely wrong. The word Rarity, means 'unique' as I'm sure you are aware. The word Meme, if you add a little hat over the 'e' actually means 'same' in French-- the language of love... and cheese sauce. Speaking of sauce, the suffix 'licious' is outright foody to my ear.
And is one a potato? One is not.
Which is to say, thanks awfully for your kind offer and I'll think about it.
I do wish there was something fitting that rhymed with diamond.
She eventually broke character and we are talking normally now. She's a brilliantly funny person and I definitely smell a new meme cooking up...
Keep your eyes peeled...

Before anything, just allow me to tell just how much I have adored and cherished the love, kindness, support and friendship I have gained from all of you who cared to view what I'd drawn.
Doing these silly (And usually illogical/disturbing) comic-strips and images has literally been one of the highlights in my life, as cheesy and cliché as that may sound, I swear, it's absolutely true. Ever since way back when I started with my couple of watchers right up to this moment with over 19'000 watchers, breaking the 1'000'000 pageview milestone and having amassed over 10'000'000 hits, logging into this account and seeing many, many supportive remarks and friendly comments, watching the favourites rise steadfastly on each deviation, seeing others willing to try improve their own, or return, to drawing (Despite the fact that I still do not wish to be titled as a

Hi everyone and everypony! I’m finding it difficult to believe that in less than a week we’ll be waist deep in the Friendship is Magic season finale. It seems like just the other day we were fangasming over the season premier. Now, here we are, 24 episodes down and but a pair remain. This season has been amazing. So much more than any of us really expected. The return of Luna, tons of Derpy, Lyra and Bon Bon hanging out, an unexpected Trixie shout-out, Dragons, more griffins, Time Travel, masked crusaders, self-help minotaurs, and plenty of incontrovertible proof that all the ponies in this town really ARE are crazy.
It’s been a brilliant season and a wonderful experience. We’re awash in conventions and gatherings; we have show-accurate toys and favorite background characters to look forward to. Derpy’s name was spoken and she was given voice.

so many amazingly talented people and the everfree people were so accommodating and everything was so much fun and everyone said so many nice things to me and when I got on the stage to introduce a band I got as far as "hi I'm will anderson" before the applause was so deafening you would have thought the beatles were on stage. It was so humbling.
I don't even know where to begin so I won't.

Flying to Seattle for the Everfree NW thingy today. I am nervous. I am not like Tara and Daniel, masters of charm and public grace.
It is always so...unsettling to turn everything off and leave my cave.
I am a troglodyte, and sometimes I work so long and hard that I don't want to leave my studio. It's safe in here. It's my sanctuary. Leaving it exposes me to, uh.
Oh. Well. Let's. Go. Do. This.
Gonna go watch the sun come up.
