so many amazingly talented people and the everfree people were so accommodating and everything was so much fun and everyone said so many nice things to me and when I got on the stage to introduce a band I got as far as "hi I'm will anderson" before the applause was so deafening you would have thought the beatles were on stage. It was so humbling.
I don't even know where to begin so I won't.
Back to work.

the cliffWe walked north on the beach until we could go no further.the cliff3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The north end of the beach in front of the hotel ends with an outcropping of rocks that protrude into the ocean for a hundred yards. Two hundred yards? I don't know. My senses seem to have dwindled over the years or are lost entirely at times.
We climbed up the highest rock and sat, talking about the time we braved the waves and rocks closer to the shore to get to another private beach farther north. This time there was a sign saying not to attempt such a crossing.
Looking down from our perch it occurred to me that we could just jump off the cliff into the sea and swim to the private beach. Probably would be easier.
Eleanor knew I was thinking about it. She pointed out a big rock just below the surface. Hmm. Not there. A little farther out. The cliff is a little lower. Hmm. Water looks dark and deep. Look, we could dive straight out, not down, we don't want to hit any rocks. Then we go around that bed of kelp and straight to th
Changing the world through musicSomeone recently brought up an interesting point as they left a comment on one of my YouTube videos. They argued that my talent wasn't very rare, and that everything I've done has already sorta been done before--that I'm not really pushing any boundaries or doing anything new. Tone is often lost or misconstrued over the internet, but it seemed to me that the person leaving the comment was insinuating that I was somehow "less" of an artist, or not quite deserving of praise, simply because I wasn't pushing some sort of boundary with the music I made.Changing the world through music3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I have a pretty thick skin, but I'll admit that negative comments bother me. They bother every artist. We do what we do to make others happy, and if we fail in that endeavor, it makes us feel bad. Any artist who denies that is either lying, or not in it for the right reasons (in my opinion). That being said, the guy's comment on my YouTube video... kinda bothered me.

Pretty damned solid Will!
You're makin it hard for me to find stuff to call.
I suppose this is technically the last episode for you this season. Wish we could celebrate somehow. It's been a solid, solid season for music score. You and your team are definitely killin it, and i'm sure the Bronies will feel it too. They're gonna have youtube videos where they extract the dialogue and SFX and just listen to the score!
Thanks for an awesome third season!
We were actually taking about this particularly in reference to the score for (omitted). We all agreed that you really took the scores for season 3 to a new level... so thanks for all your work this season!

I'm BACK!! (New Song with Michelle Creber.)Hello boys...I'm BACK!! (New Song with Michelle Creber.)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It has been a long and -redacted- tour, but I'm finally back in good old Yokosuka, Japan!
Over the past month, I've been to Hong Kong, Manila PI, and Hiroshima.
Pics on my Twitter account: https://twitter.com/BlackGryph0n/media/grid If thou givst a crap.
But enough about me! Let's talk about me some more!
So as you may already know, I recently collaborated with the one and only Michelle Creber (Voice of Apple Bloom) on a cover of a popular song by Michael Jackson (Voice of Michael Jackson)
AND IT'S DONE!
Not only that, but the fabulous Monique Creber created a music video entirely out of old footage from past concerts!
(I was on the ship and couldn't film anything new. )

Anyway person, I thought I'd post some updates and let you know what's going on with me
and my projects and stuff and crap and what not and all that jazz!
So, I just got back from Korea... That was interesting.
(They had a huge collection of styrofoam missiles... )
I'll be back in Japan for about three weeks before I head out on a ship again for another two months, but after that guess what?...
THAT'S MY LAST TOUR!!
I'll be a veteran!
I'll be there!
I'll be around!
I'll be home for Christmas!
I'll be gone in a day or TWOOOOOOO!!!
But enough with the 80's music references.
I've got a LOT of projects to punch through before I leave, so I'm pretty busy.
Still, I'll try and find time to check my messages if you've sent me something.
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in a while.
Here, have a cookie!
As far as the upcoming projects go... Some are kinda hushety-hush, but I

MLP: Age of Twilight - Ep 25+26 You've come such a long, long way...MLP: Age of Twilight - Ep 25+261 year ago in Personal More Like This
Wow, that was an awesome finale!
The song was great and touching.
Now we also know why Luna was at Sapphire Shores' place in that Sweetie Belle episode - Luna was taking singing lessons
And that battle - it was (almost) up there with stuff seen on DBZ or Avatar - dayum!
The villain was serious business - there were great villains before, but this one took the cake to a whole new level in terms of bad-assery.
R.I.P. Golden Oaks Library - you will be missed
The final fight felt a little rushed and cheesy (as usual ) - but you gotta take the cheese with the crackers, right?
I'm so looking forward to season 5.
Rumour controlEver since shortly after BroNYCon January, ugly rumours about me, and about the con, have circulated over and over throughout the Internet. (They have been accompanied by frequent LGBT-bashing attacks and bigotry.) This isn't a coincidence or the random work of disinterested trolls. It is a deliberate and prolonged smear campaign.Rumour control3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Shortly after BroNYCon January, five staffers made a power grab, attempting to obtain financial and logistical control over the con. I did not let them seize control. They walked; only two returned even temporarily to the staff. These now ex-staffers have been leaking documents and spreading lies and distortions about me, and about BronyCon, ever since. Their aim was to destroy my reputation and that of the con.
When I was on the staff myself, I wasn't allowed to react to any of this. I was under tremendous pressure from the staff to ignore these rumours. But the people spreading them are very persistent. It's late March, and the rumours are still swirling. A
MLP:FiM S4 EP 1 and 2I must say, it's good to see new episodes again. After S3, I set my expectations from very low to none. I'm impressed with this! Got to see some very awesome events! This is a story about a mare named Twilight.Twilight studied for the princess in a big castle, where she was student number 427.This is a story about a mare named Twilight.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Student number 427's studies were simple:
She sat at a desk in library 427, and read books on the shelves.
Orders came to her through a dragon by her desk, telling her what books to read, how long to study them, and in what order.
This is what student 427 did, every day, of every month, of every year.
And although others might have considered it solely reading, Twilight relished every moment that the orders came in, as though she had been born exactly for this job.
And Twilight...was happy.
And then one day, something very peculiar happened.
Something that would forever change Twilight...
Something that she would never quite forget...

Important thoughts on the show and the wings.Oh, man. It was one of the most entertaining things I've seen on TV so far this year. Yesterday a truly remarkable show demonstrated an incredible feat of writing that should have put all of the 'haters' firmly in their place. Anyone who was nervous about how it might have played out shouldn't worry - it was executed flawlessly. I came out with tears in my eyes over how beautiful it all was.Important thoughts on the show and the wings.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You know the thing I'm talking about.
It featured wings heavily.
The addition of wings marked a big change.
It was over pretty fast.
It had lots of cool music that flowed effortlessly throughout its duration.
It illustrated friendship.
It illustrated magic.
It had beautiful visuals.
It suggests there are some awesome things to come.
It was watched mostly on Youtube.
It had lots of older fans.
It felt like an accumulation of many years of effort that has finally been refined.
It featured some truly remarkable performances.
It was the most interesting thing on TV on Saturday.
It has a fandom b

What the hell am I doing?!?
Two years ago I decided to enter a few giveaways on Ponychan and draw some OCs and requests.
Make no mistake, these were terrible. Pretty much the artistic equivilent of being kicked in the pancreas while simultaneously drinking bathwater and watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Still, when I needed a place to upload them to the internet, I never imagined my several-year-old and woefully empty DA account would have ten followers, to say nothing of 11,000.
I may not understand it, but that doesn't change the fact I deeply, humbly appreciate it. Every follower, every one of you took the time to look at my pictures and saw something they liked enough to watch me. Thank you SO MUCH. I hope I always live up to your expectations and do things that you find funny, compelling, enjoyable, or at the very least weird enough to pique your interest.

Season Wrap UpWell, season 2 has finally come to a close, and I'm sitting here and looking back on it all, with a few thoughts I want to share.Season Wrap Up3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I just want to say thank you (again) to everyone that watched and enjoyed the MLP season finale this weekend. There were lots of hard nights and long hours from all of us on the DHX crew to make it the best would possibly could. Of course, there are things that are always going to be imperfect, but overall from what I gather, it seemed well-received.
I was also shocked at how many people recognized my OC pony that made a small cameo in this weekend's episode. As a blanket response to a lot of the same questions I've been getting all weekend: No, I did not voice her and I'm unsure as to who did. I would assume just one of the regular VA's. She was put in kind of last minute. The artist who drew her in the storyboard, made her look like my pony (just a coincidence), and after seeing i

A bet a fair portion of you felt insulted or angry over it.
According to someponies, being a supporter of the NLR, LR, and/or SE makes you less of a fan!
"The thing both the Solar Empire and the Lunar Republic fail to realize is that neither princess approves of what they are doing. The two sisters are united and work together. There is no division between the two of them. The Solar Empire and the Lunar Republic are the ones attempting to cause division, and neither princess approves of this. The hard truth for the members of both of these groups is that the princess they claim to support is actually disappointed in them. Solar Empire: Celestia does not approve of what you are doing. Lunar Republic: Luna does not approve of what you are doing.
You can't love one princess without loving the other. You cannot support one princess without supporting the other. If you reject one of them, you reject both of them. They compliment each other, and focusing only
