Pretty damned solid Will!
You're makin it hard for me to find stuff to call.
I suppose this is technically the last episode for you this season. Wish we could celebrate somehow. It's been a solid, solid season for music score. You and your team are definitely killin it, and i'm sure the Bronies will feel it too. They're gonna have youtube videos where they extract the dialogue and SFX and just listen to the score!
Thanks for an awesome third season!
We were actually taking about this particularly in reference to the score for (omitted). We all agreed that you really took the scores for season 3 to a new level... so thanks for all your work this season!

totally friggin' rockin'.
story is so good, editing, cast, rockin' it.
On fandom, fans, and trollsI just flew in from Seattle, and I had a great time. In many ways it was one of the best cons I've been to. For my own part, everyone I met and encountered, from staff to attendees to VAs to friends old and new, were positive and the people incredibly kind and brilliant. I was witness to countless incidents of generosity and honesty and solidarity. Rarely have I smiled so hard or as often in the company of so many good people and admirable fans.On fandom, fans, and trolls3 years ago in Personal More Like This
But, sadly, it seems not every experience this past weekend was so positive.
Before My Little Pony I had no real experience with the concept of fandom beyond what I read with horror, and, admittedly a certain amount of amusement on internet websites and forums. But here I am, happily lost in a sea of technicolor unicorns and pegusi. I can't say I've been part of the MLP fandom since it began, I was actually somewhat late to the world of ponies. But I have seen it grow from a relatively sma

Mike Thompson on piano (from the Eagles, Don Henley)
Weird Al on Accordion
Bermuda Schwartz on drums
Larry Antonino on stand Up bass (air supply, pablo cruise, etc.)
Tom Evans on woodwinds (tonight show band, glen frey, etc, etc.
I am going to track everyone live in my living room.
Should be a lot of fun.
Can't believe these serious A-list would do this for me for so little money.
It's because we're friends.
My friends are awesome to do this for me! Mike flies in from a show Sunday and then is just coming over.
I am one happy dude.
Time for more coffee.
13 minutes of quiet time left.

Hanging out with Weird AlI went to see my old bandmate Weird Al last night at the Pacific Amphitheater. We have been exchangng e-mails lately talking about MLP:FiM. I used to play in Weird Al's band, and have toured and recorded with him. We are good friends. All the guys in the band too. My homies. Especially Kimo and Bermuda.Hanging out with Weird Al3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Gee, wouldn't Al be a good guest star for MLP:Fim? Wow, seems like such a natural fit, don't you agree?
My daughter was supposed to record me chatting with him after the show but forgot to hit record...
Well, until we started talking about MLP. I just posted that on my You Tube page...
I miss playing live.
Man those guys are GOOD and TIGHT and play like monsters. And Al sang and performed his butt off. And the show is REALLY REALLY good.
Turning it off.I just shut everything down in my studio.Turning it off.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Flying to Seattle for the Everfree NW thingy today. I am nervous. I am not like Tara and Daniel, masters of charm and public grace.
It is always so...unsettling to turn everything off and leave my cave.
I am a troglodyte, and sometimes I work so long and hard that I don't want to leave my studio. It's safe in here. It's my sanctuary. Leaving it exposes me to, uh.
Oh. Well. Let's. Go. Do. This.
Gonna go watch the sun come up.

what if i was completely at peace with myself and my surroundings all the time?
would that be a good thing?
what if absolutely nothing mattered to me?
what if i decided to live my life like a total gypsy outlaw, married to five women, wanted for extortion, you know, a bad guy.
what if i decided all those outlaw qualities were what made me feel alive and i was just going to get on it it and live me life and accept myself for whatever it was I am.
or is i was.
playing a lot of punky ska guitar. feels good. i just want to shred until my knuckles are raw.

And for those who were curious it DOES look like the whole thing is airing at once. Wonder why Hasbro hates cliffhangers so much. LoL

"A magical empire has suddenly appeared in the arctic north of Equestria, and PRINCESS CELESTIA needs TWILIGHT SPARKLE and her friends to find a way to protect it. While her friends try to keep the Crystal Ponies occupied at the Crystal Faire, TWILIGHT SPARKLE searches for the hidden Crystal Heart that is the key to keeping their empire safe from harm!"
My two cents on Las Pegasus Unicon.Everyone seems to be in agreement that they want to know more about what went wrong at LPU- so I'm going to offer up some of what I've seen/heard. In many cases, I'm may omit names- so if I say "a VA" or "a musician", just please respect that I want to pass on observations, but also respect those affected persons. My two cents on Las Pegasus Unicon.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Before I get into the details, I've mentioned before that I'm not a fan of Vegas, but I want to get something off my chest about the choice of location.
Las Vegas is not a children-friendly venue. It's Casinos and Strip Clubs and Alcohol and Prostitutes and Clouds of Cancerous Choking Cigarette Smoke EVERYWHERE!!! My Little Pony is a show for children that became so much more- it became something we all love and enjoy- but the cons are supposed to bring everyone together, and this was not a venue for the demographic that mattered the most. Las Vegas is a playground for adults.
You might be wondering why I'm ranting about this... and here it is: &
Regarding Group Security and "Hackers"Hello Everypony,Regarding Group Security and "Hackers"2 years ago in Personal More Like This
This post is largely directed towards anyone who moderates or runs a MLP-related group on DeviantArt, but the information contained can be relevant to everyone.
Over the past few hours, there's been a note circulating around to various MLP groups, claiming that there is a small group of "hackers" (which is not the correct word) attacking MLP groups, taking them over, and vandalizing them. To counter this, the note is suggesting that groups should block all join requests, disable auto-accept, and then forward the note to every other group you know of.
Really, that's horrible advice, don't do that.
It is true that during the past few days, a couple of pony groups have been attacked by malicious users. However, there is no elaborate hack or security flaw that's allowing this to happen. Instead, the groups that were attacked simply had an incorrectly configured, yet easily fixable, setting in their group's permissions which allowed such attacks.
Most groups already are not

In January I started a new job at Cartoon Network! Writing/Storyboarding on Rebecca Sugar's show Steven Universe!
There are so many reasons for you guys to be interested in this thing, you don't even know. Ian Jones-Quartey (of AT and Venture Bros) is on it, Danny Hynes (character designer on Venture) and so many others. Lots of people who are new to boarding but coming out of indie comics, so their stuff is already really funny and full of life.
I'll keep you updated, Pony-style on when the shows start rolling. Can't say much about it other than I'm very excited and thankful to be a part of it. Here's a link to the little bit of press there's been about it:

Letter From My Art TeacherThis is amazing! Going through my bank statements I found a folder of items my parents kept throughout my years of school. In it I found an appreciation letter my High School art teacher made for my parents. Check it out below... Oh and my real name is Christopher.Letter From My Art Teacher3 years ago in Personal More Like This
To whom it may concern:
I have Known Christopher for the past 4 years. I have found him to be thoughtful and thorough. This is evident in all written work as well as the projects he did for class. More than once he came into the art room to get help on proportion or values (shading) during lunch break or before school. He seems very eager to learn.
Christopher has a natural curiosity and always wants to improve. He took art classes more than once. I remember how surprised he was the first time I asked if I could put one of his drawings in an art show. After class he asked, "is it really good enough to be in an ar

- It was terribly perfect! I loved EVERYTHING about it! It was so funny! Me, my twin & 2 of our close friends went to the theather & laughed so hard, damn! I loved the doubling in French it's so awesome! They made the Munks' hot & The Chipettes so precious & funny! They act like us, teens, act now, it was so lovely! I adored the animation, & the background were damn, so fantastic! Each couples have their own equal scenes for me...French reviws says it's epic & I admit! I LOVED the scenes with Alvin & Brittany & all the others scenes, well, I adored this movie! I admit that I was scared to be desapointed, but no, I wasn't...I just loved everything...
I know that In the English version there's Simon speak with a French accent, but here, it was a "Latino 'Munk Lover" with "Te Quero" & everything, it was so fun!
Well, I recommended it to everyone who are fans (or not..) of our furry friends .
WLC Brony Thank You Party is growing!So... many of you may know that I've been helping my friends at Wildlife Learning Center raise money for the their Indiegogo campaign for badly needed funds to care for their amazing wild animals. We have an interesting development as far as incentives go. To recap, in addition to the great donation incentives offered at the Indiegogo site, for each $10,000 raised, WLC is naming one of their animals after MLP pets, and so far, we've raised enough to name a rabbit ANGEL and a salcuta tortoise TANK. Thanks to all who helped donate or spread the word!
If we should reach our ultimate goal of $48,000, WLC will host a T
After three years of owning the DVD...I finally watched the Squeakuel. After three years of owning the DVD...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It was a great film, I loved the animation (still kinda like the original chipmunks better but that's because I grew up with those)
But what I REALLY enjoyed about the film was that they kept the boys in character this time. Alvin and Simon were just.... holy cow, perfect. In the first movie, they had like, one fight, and Simon rolled his eyes like, twice, but in this movie I was just squeeing. The brotherly relationship they had, and Theodore being the baby bro that wants everyone to get along... My heart went out to him when his nightmare of his family breaking up was coming true.
That was the highlight, to be honest. Not even the animation. Just the sheer joy of seeing that the Seville brothers actually acted like the ones I grew up loving.
Anyway, aside from that, I'm gonna try to get a commission done once a week, as well as a comic page, so that I can open them up again fast. I can't promise anything, and the traditional art ones will be sh
EFR Interview + More animation info.OK guys, I have been getting a LOT of questions about my latest Rarity animation...EFR Interview + More animation info.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
While I'd love to answer your questions, the simple fact is I can't... Some VA's prefer their privacy and my Rarity VA is one of them.
For those of you who may be confused about this, let me explain something:
The VA's who work on MLP;FiM have a contract with Hasbro that prevents them from doing fan work. If they were to break this contract they could get in serious trouble! Even if a VA from the show was crazy enough to voice a fan animation, they certainly couldn't tell anyone!
So may I ask that you keep those kinds of questions to a minimum? (Especially on Youtube!)
Even if it's not true, Hasbro could think it is and Tabitha could get in trouble out of the blue. Imagine how confusing THAT would be!
Anyway, yeah... It's a silly little game. Unfortunately, we all have to play it...
Let's keep this fandom awesome and not betray the trust and ge

A little controversy in the actual post but what's the world without a little chaos now and again? Anyway it was fun. Hey, and as far as DeviantART goes, I'm on a nice, long summer hiatus, still chillin. I'll put up more content as I feel like it, but I'm (mostly) pulling the scope away from ponies for a while. I'm still drawing stuff, but it's not necessarily ponies, so I don't think you guys would want it clogging up your inboxes. Ah well. Later!
