Wicca Tutorial: Starting on your Book Of ShadowsWicca Tutorial: Starting on your Book Of Shadows.Wicca Tutorial: Starting on your Book Of Shadows3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Do you want to make your own Book of Shadows, but don't you know where or how to start?
Then this is the exact tutorial you need!
Also, you should keep a Mirror Journal next to your BoS. A Mirror Journal is some sort of Wiccan Diary. You write about your growth in Wicca, dreams, plans, your day, spells and their effects, etc.
I needed a new BoS, since my niece accidentally burned mine - Yeah, don't ask. I dunno either. -_-;;...
Question: What is a Book of Shadows?
Answer: It's a really important journal for a Wiccan. It's your personal, secret and most important book with recordings with spells, potions, recipes, rituals, chants and things like that!
Question: Do I need to handwrite it?
Answer: It's not necessary, seeing that almost every Witch in this age writes it on the computer. But I prefer doing so, so this is a tutorial especially for the handwritten BoS.
Question: Is there a

Casting a CircleHow to cast a circle:Casting a Circle3 years ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This
Casting a circle is very important in magic and energy work for most. It's used as protection from negative energy and bad spirits. It also is used to focus your power and intent.
Now I'm going to assume that whoever is reading this is a beginner (not to hurt anyone's feelings I just mean to be helpful) and I'll put in the easiest steps to start casting circles.
((now remember if you are not allowed to use candles use colored stones instead))
Mark the circle upon the floor or the ground. Place a candle in each of the four quarters green to the North to represent Earth, yellow in the East to represent Air, red or orange symbolizing Fire in the South, and blue to the West in association with Water
The reason to do this is to mark your circle. So you can really see it and form the rest in your minds eye(third eye).
Now you may pick which ever color that is your favorite for this next part but I think for beginners gold is the best to start wi
The 13 Wiccan PrinciplesThe 13 Wiccan PrinciplesThe 13 Wiccan Principles7 years ago in General Non-Fiction More Like This
The following set of thirteen principles was
adopted by the Council of American Witches, in April, 1974.
1: We practice rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal Quarters and Cross Quarters.
2: We recognize that our intelligence gives us a unique responsibility toward our environment. We seek to live in harmony with Nature, in ecological balance offering fulfillment and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.
3: We acknowledge a depth of power far greater than that apparent to the average person. Because it is far greater than ordinary it is sometimes called supernatural, but we see it as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.
4: We conceive of the Creative Power in the universe as manifesting through polarity ~as masculine and feminine~ and that this same Creative Power lies in all people, and functions through the interaction of the masculine and femin
