Some of you may well remember this, but this is a tattoo design that I've prepared for myself.
You see, I've wanted a Sonic-related tattoo, but the one thing I promised myself a long time ago (and after a brief search on the internet) that I didn't want SONIC or any of the main characters on my arm anywhere. Not because I'd be embarassed when I get older or any of the other stereotypical crap people say will happen to you when you get tattoos you'll apparently regret, but because I think it's tacky and uncreative. Why take such a beautiful form of art and homogenise it? So instead of the traditional Koi tattoo, I have replaced it with the updated version of the classic Chopper Badnik, seen in a number of Sonic games, and one of my favourite Badniks of all time.
Instead, I will be infusing Sonic references with Japanese tattoo elements to create my own sleeve, piece by piece. This is the first part, now finialised. The waves now all curve in a uniform direction to unify the piece and fit the arm, and it has now been inked and shaded to give the appropriate depth that I'm after.
I'm actually very happy with it after playing with it the last few months (Which was always the plan; It's a commitment guys, make sure you're 100% sure what you want before you get inked!) I'm hoping I can keep this going with the other ideas I have milling about! :3
I'm planning to get this done in June. (I had to move my appointment as I had to fly to St. Lucia on emergency.)
ok... a little help is needed please! with or without writing? bearing in mind that the writing is just what i doodled on, me thinks i'd ask the tattoo artist to improve on it for me!
this whole tattoo has a lot of meaning to me, which i'll probably explain when i put a picture of the real deal up... the writing especially is important, but has been added as an after thought and i'm not sure if it fits... hence why i'd like some opinions please! it's going to go on the inside of my wrist/forearm
