Skyrim Mod ListJust in case anyone is interested at all, this is a list of the current mods I have running. A lot of these are simple immersion mods, added to enhance effects and make the world more realistic.Skyrim Mod List2 years ago in Personal More Like This
DLC I have Installed
Dragonborn - Don’t really care for this one so far. Just hasn’t peaked my interest yet.
Dawnguard - I’m REALLY enjoying this one, although as you’ll see it’s necessitated that I add some mods to help keep it from breaking my game.
Hearthfires - I enjoyed this one too. Very relaxing and fun to hunt the world for resources to build your own homes, marry, and adopt children.
Birds - Adds extra birds flying around the world.
Enhanced Wetness and Puddles - This is a work in progress mod that makes puddles appear in towns when it’s raining. They’ll grow to a specific size then shrink to nothing when the rain stops. Just giving the world a little bit more realism. Unfortunately it’
Disney vs Lucas ArtsIf ever you bring up Disney in a conversation, people immediately recite tired old issues with the company that haven't been true for a long time. For example, complaining about the excess of half-assed sequels. That was part of Michael Eisner's regime. When he left the studio the quality Disney was producing suddenly skyrocketed considerably. Likewise the excessive merchandising and branding of Disney related products has also ceased to be as all-consuming now that Eisner is gone. In fact, a lot of the main issues people had with Disney during the 90's and early 2000's was a result of Eisner.Disney vs Lucas Arts2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Since Eisner left, the Disney studio has done a REMARKABLE job in clearing their name of many of the atrocities they had committed during his regime. They promptly turned the animation department around and have even begun doing 2-D animated films again after Eisner said "no." Granted, at the moment 2-D is still in hiatus, but the situation isn't as dire as it use to be and there's still promise

Research HeadacheI decided to start the new year off by doing a research binge. For the past 48 hours I’ve been seeking out documentaries, specials, books, websites, ancient literature, etc. I kinda like to think the brain is like a sponge, absorbing everything that’s put around it. The basic idea is that I soak up enough of this knowledge I can use it on a more instinctual level when I’m writing.Research Headache1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Fun though this is in it’s own way, it’s still work. As much as I am enjoying doing all this voluntary research I am beginning to feel a little burnt out by how much information I’ve been assimilating.
This isn’t really related but if you haven’t seen the History Channel’s miniseries “Vikings,” you should definitely check it out if you can. Quite impressed with it, and loving the attention to details and character development. Kinda like Game of Thrones in it’s tone and brutality, but without all the “sexposition” dialogue and

After getting out of a slump, I wanted to share this story of something I went through a few years back. Bit of a read, but thanks for sticking through it
As you know, Comic-Con is arriving and as I prepare for it, I grow more and more anticipated with anxiety/joy in regards to the re-release of Last Man Standing.
As long, challenging, and mind-opening the creation of LMS was, something really stuck with me.
Before I had created LMS, I wanted to work for WETA Workshop. To those that don't know them, they've created props, designs, sets, costumes, and more for The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, District-9, Elysium, The Hobbit and many more films.
I was obsessed and inspired with them. The creator, Richard Taylor was always a huge inspiration to me. After viewing supplements on the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings DVDS, I knew right there: I HAD TO WORK FOR THEM.
So I al

I'm fairly certain I'll be attending the Minneapolis Comic Book Association's (MCBA) Spring Comic Con this year. I usually attend this convention every year and I enjoy it a lot. But it has been a long time since I've attended a convention (almost a year now), so I am nervous about having enough new stuff prepared. I'll fill you guys in on the details as we get closer to the convention date, and if any other conventions pop up I'll let you all know too.
I'd love to attend the MCM convention in England again, but I just don't know if I'll be able to afford the plane tickets in time.
Sim City Disaster
After my last journal about issues with the video game industry, it should come as no surprise that the Sim City debacle just makes me facepalm. For those unfamiliar with the situation it goes something like this:
Someone at EA got the brilliant idea to force gamers playing single player mode in the newest Sim City to require a constant online connection. This
Texas Abortion Bill FilibusterIn case you live outside the USA and haven't heard of this yet, Texas was preparing to vote on a radical bill that would effectively outlaw abortions within their boarders. Senator Wendy Davis came in early in the morning with the expressed intent of filibustering: The goal being to delay the critical vote.Texas Abortion Bill Filibuster2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Wendy Davis talked for 11 hours straight. No food. No drinks. No bathroom breaks. She couldn't even pause for a moment to take a sip of water or else she'd give up the floor and the vote could get underway. 11 hours straight she talked and just before the midnight cutoff she was interrupted, and the vote began... only to become absolute pandemonium as the crowd watching protested the interruption.
The GOP insists that the vote carried and passed, while the Democrats insist that they were still taking votes after the midnight cutoff thanks to the chaos that ensued. This is going to be one of those instances where the GOP are gonna try to lie and shove their way through our diplomatic

Hey all! Yep, I'm at it again. Slacking from school to bring you more advice about CSS. As someone with limited coding skills, I find my ability to understand this process useful to others who want to use it be feel it is out of their range. Now, many guides have been presented for Journal CSS but with the new addition of Gallery Folder CSS, few helps are there and you have to know where to look. AC IV - your review, please :)Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag has been out for a few days now (not on all platforms, I know....) and I am really curious what you think of the game so far. PLEASE KEEP THIS SPOILER FREE!!!!AC IV - your review, please :)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I am just very curious to find out what people think of the game
I'll kick off:
The first thing that sprang to mind was the beautiful color palette. After the relatively dim and grey setting of AC III this was a positive shocker. The color palette is strong and uplifting. Then what I so far find the most beautiful part of the game.... The soundtrack... wow.... I just love it!
The gameplay is very smooth and I haven't run into alot of bugs yet.
I keep finding myself sailing around and stuff. I actually have to force myself to do another story mission. At about 30% The Jackdaw was allready a floating fortress It's just cool to run and sail around being a pirate.
The mixture of water and land missions is perfect imo. I donnot ever feel I am tru

"I'm going to try to disipate some doubts about CSW, I know you have been waiting a long time so I'll try to answer the most common questions:
First and most important is that the project has not been cancelled. We started to work professionaly and we have been expending a lot of time
without developing fully CSW to improve ourselves in other areas and taking a break doing different kind of things.
The truth is that we still have a lot of things about CSW that we haven't showed yet and some day will be shown;
my advice is that you just keep going on with your lives and someday you will find some update, but for the moment there isn't none.
Nothing of this can be published on the main site because we lost access to it a long time ago, we talked about that time ago. Also we can't release a first version
and then update it with downloable characters because the core of the game is not done, you might think it is by the videos, but it's

I know I think I've disrupted all my followers on Twitter/Tumblr/YouTube/Facebook but I really can't describe all the pained feelings I get from watching Game Grumps now. It was a big part of my life and to see the dynamic duo being torn apart kills me. so bad. You'll have to be patient with me because I don't know how long this will keep me emotionally traumatized.
Sure we have Dan and so far he's kinda cute and funny with Arin but Jon. Joooon was and always will be the not-so-grump to Arin's grump. I will never accept it any differently.
Skyrim ReviewTwo or three years late but whatever! We can't all buy stuff day one, right? Anyway, if you've been following my journal entries as I've started playing Skyrim you can probably tell how this review is gonna go down.Skyrim Review2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I hate complicated things, and Skyrim is a game with a deep and rich history that can be very difficult for newbies like me to get into. Right off the bat the game throws all sorts of names, races, powers, legends, lore, etc at you. Too much of that can be a big turn off (heck I know people who still haven't read Lord of the Rings because there were too many names), but luckily Skyrim does a good job of easing players into the game.
There is a main campaign you have to follow to technically "beat" the game, but you don't have to follow it. The moment I had a chance to break free of the story I did so and I went exploring. That allowed me, a new person unfamiliar with any of the lore of the Elder Scrolls series, to experience the world at my own pace. The world is so e
Tutorials and techniquesQuite a lot of people keep asking me for tutorials and to be honest I see no point in creating yet another strip on how to paint skin/clothes/light/carrots/whatever. There are so many of them out there that it would be simply a waste of time to sit and basically copy what's already been told.Tutorials and techniques4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Instead, I've decided to make a compilation of different tutorials and charts that I personally use to learn how to paint.
The most important thing you need to learn even before starting to read a tutorial is that all walk-throughs are meant for you to understand how things work. My point is that after reading and later practicing a tutorial called 'how to paint a glass duck' you should be able to paint not only a glass duck but also anything else made of glass. You should concentrate on understanding the rules and patterns instead of trying to copy what you see on the image. Otherwise you'll end up knowing how to paint only a few things from only one perspective and one lightning pattern.

Mature themes in American AnimationWhen I first discovered Anime, my mind was blown. Here were Japanese animations being made which told adult stories with sex, violence, and all sorts of things I'd never seen before done in American films. As a teenager the constant pandering to children and the reluctance to accept more mature themes and ideas in American animated films pissed me off. Why can't american cartoons be taken more seriously and have stuff for adults too outside of South Park and The Simpsons?Mature themes in American Animation3 years ago in Personal More Like This
In 1998 Stephen Spielberg tried to change that. After having a successful run of kids cartoons (Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pink and the Brain, etc), he took it a step further by giving us a PRIME TIME cartoon series aimed at adults. It was called "Invasion America." It was a sci-fi epic, featured a slew of big name actors including Leonard Nimoy, and featured more adult oriented themes such as sex, violence, and swearing!
It sucked and was a resounding failure.
The epic plot they were trying to weave would never be compl

- Add this journal to your list
- Write a journal about this giveaway (Optional).
And the best part? They all average for 200 comments at the end of their life span.
So, what's wrong with this, you may ask? Well. We are talking about TWO HUNDRED PEOPLE BEGGING FOR ONE FUCKING DIGITAL DOLLAR NOT REDEEMABLE OUTSIDE OF DEVIANTART. ONE. FUCKING. DOLLAR.
Did I say that loud enough? One dollar. That's what 100 points are roughly worth.
And what do those people who hold these giveaways get for one dollar?
Let me show you by quoting rule nr. 1:

'Life Drawing 5' by algaegoblin
Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi

How to : Find Art ThievesPlease this journal, so that a lot of people can read it.How to : Find Art Thieves2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I noticed that a lot of people don't know how to search for their photos on the internet, so here is a short tutorial. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about art thieves, but i still think it is important to look out for them.
1. visit Google.com
2. Go to the page of the photo you want to search and click "show image"
3. Copy the Link and paste it into google.
4. This page should open, click "search by image".
5. Now you can browse trough the results.
6. The less results the happier you should be.
EDIT : You can also use websites like : tineye.com and iqdb.com
This was pointed out to me by some people, personally i have no experience with them, but i am sure that they work too.
