This is it
This is how it starts.
You watch it, and you fall in love.
It happens, no matter what your initial reason for watching it was. It might have been all the rage, or maybe you wanted to know what everyone was talking about; maybe it was by mistake, or there was nothing else on. Oh, I don't know, maybe you just wanted to see a little more of that famous Harkness grin: no matter the reason, you will fall.
And it doesn't matter how much you've watched, either: sitting faithfully through every episode, or just following Christopher, David and Matt, or catching a bit here and there. Doesn't matter. Love.
This is how it goes.
The whole world is different now, adventure could hide behind every corner, your eyes keep scanning for the blue box in the crowd. You learn the whooshing and whirring and clicks and clacks by heart, in case you hear it before you see it. You keep your bags packed, all ready, under your bed, in case you'll have to leave in a hurry. You try to guess
Farewell To The DoctorAnd he knows.Farewell To The Doctor3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The song must end.
And there's no turning back.
He doesn't want to go.
But he doesn't have a second chance.
Not this time.
And he remembers while he waits.
He remembers her.
Her tender and love to him.
The way she always looked at him, and how it made his hearts beat faster.
The way he always felt when they hold hands.
And amongst all that...
He remembered those great times.
When he thought, he believed... he could be with her.
Perhaps, the Universe would give him a chance.
A ridiculous moment.
And he wanted to believe that nothing would separate them.
But he knew. He always knew that it could never happen.
Because he was a Time Lord.
And she was a human.
So he tried not to think about that.
But then, he realized that they could never have a happy ever after.
The Universe talked again, and she was taken away from him. Forever.
Or at least it looked like.
She was so clever, and she found the way to find her way back to him.
That was she. Br

Travels everywhere in time and space
But he doesn't have a dime.
The last of his race
Through the Great Time War
But When we feel all is lost and hopeless
He saves the universe once more
The Doctor has never been thanked, ever
For his countless good deeds.
Even though his plans are always clever,
A loving companion there to help him is what he needs.
But in the end, they leave him, are lost, or die
And the Doctor is alone again, in a ship with no crew.
Some days, he will stand in the TARDIS and cry
Because his hearts are torn in two.
Still Not GingerThe Doctor had decided to dye his hair.Still Not Ginger3 years ago in Humor More Like This
“Well, Rose, not going to be regenerating anymore,” he said cheerfully. “And that means I’ve got to find another way to be ginger.”
“Yes, but…you’re going to dye it?” she asked. “I like your hair, you know. It’s nice. Suits you.”
“But I want to be ginger!” he’d whined, and it wasn’t like it was her hair to control, so she’d sighed and agreed to buy him some hair dye. Once he had the packet, he’d frowned, proclaimed it to be “not ginger enough,” and proceeded to add some sort of strange alien chemical to it. Rose had her doubts about changing the composition of the stuff, but he’d insisted that it would be fine, and he was the Doctor, after all.
“Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” she asked him, arms folded as he shooed her out of the bathroom.

She will meet him one rainy night,
When destiny interferes,
He will be her hero,
To chase away her fears.
He will tell her she is beautiful,
And they will dance the night away,
She will stay no matter what,
Through the brilliance of each day.
She will tightly clutch his hand,
And never leave his side,
He will always protect her,
Each time the stars collide.
He will consider her an equal,
As their minds and souls both merge,
She will feel the anguish,
But his heart will not diverge.
She will risk everything for him,
The oncoming storm,
He will follow her into the dark,
To feel her safe and warm.
He will echo through her dreams,
Burn up a sun just to say goodbye,
She will cry silent tears,
Still waiting for his reply.
She will save his entire world,
Fracturing time and space,
He will make all her dreams come true.
Now he has had his last embrace.
He is forever cursed to walk alone,
So this is what he must do,
She will feel the heartache,
Because he is not you.
She will make her choice,

Unforgivable Sin"NO!" The Doctor sat bolt upright with a desperate cry, abject terror shining in his wide eyes. His body was unbelievably tense and his stomach tied in a tight, binding knot. His breathing hitched and stopped as for an eternity of a moment he sat paralyzed in fear, startled and nearly swallowed by the darkness around him.Unforgivable Sin2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Doctor?" His wife whispered beside him. Rose's voice seemed small, even insignificant in comparison to the deafening stillness and silence that assaulted the Doctor's mind. He instinctually glanced around the room to try and insist to his mind that it had all been a dream and that he was awake again, but his attention was still captured by the raw, unchecked panic that surged through his single heart at what he had just seen, experienced, and done again.
At once, even as he subconsciously recognized the secure room around him and Rose by his side, the pure horror of his dream rushed back upon him so fast and so hard that he nearly choked. He was

Candy Canes"Doctor, you can't eat all of the candy canes," Rose scolded, pulling the box away from him. "And I don't want to see them disappearing from the tree later."Candy Canes3 years ago in Romance More Like This
"In 900 years of time and space, I've never eaten a candy cane. Did you know that?" He handed her the untangled lights.
"What about Christmas at my mum's flat the year after we met?" Rose pointed out. She ducked under the wire and continued wrapping the lights around the tree.
"Not even then." He stopped her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close.
Rose giggled. "Your breath smells like peppermint."
"Do I taste like it too?" He leaned down for a kiss.
"Mmm, you do." She smiled. "I'll buy you your own box of candy canes for Christmas, alright?"
"Do I have to share?"
"Not if you don't want to. But come on, let's get this tree decorated or I promise you I will not buy you those candy canes." She kissed him again and ducked away.
The Doctor gave her peppermint body wash for Christmas, which he told her later did not make h

A promising future I couldn't see.
My life was sleepy, dreary and dull
Then the Doctor came and woke me.
He gave life a new meaning,
He took me by the hand
Into his magical blue castle
To fly away to wondrous strange lands.
But in these lands we found monsters
Evil of all kinds.
The Doctor and I defeated them
I couldn't believe this new life was mine.
He always showed such courage,
Never giving in.
He was my unexpected prince
And I fell in love with him.
Then the worst monsters had us trapped
So my Doctor sent me home.
But I found a way to return to him,
I couldn't let my love die alone.
I took the vortex into my head,
And defeated the monsters with this.
But it was fatal so the Doctor absorbed it
And saved me with a kiss.
My Doctor is my hero,
Doing good he never fails.
My name is Rose Tyler
And this is my fairy tale.
