Leo and the other seven demigods, Nico, Frank, Hazel, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, and Piper went for a ride on the Argo 2 one day.
A year had passed since Annabeth and Percy had fallen into Tartaurus and were done with their adventures, or so they thought.
Leo was at the wheel, driving, while the other demigods had been talking. Hazel, Leo's girlfriend, was talking to Piper about whatever they were talking about when lightning cracked across the sky.
"Everything's fine," Jason exclaimed. "It's just some tame lightning."
Leo wasn't so sure. He could tell that Hazel sensed it too, she went up to join him at the wheel. Hazel's face turned white, as if she'd seen a ghost.
"Hecate..." Hazel had murmured. "I sense magic in the air....."
For a second, Leo couldn't see anything. Lightning had cracked so close to the warship, that it turned everything white. Leo had shielded his eyes just in time.

Steve walked down the hall to grab a snack before bed, humming Deck the Halls.
"Are you sure you can't make it?"
Steve cocked his head to the side at the sound of Natasha's voice.
She was in the living room pacing by Tony's obnoxiously large and lavishly decorated Christmas Tree. "Ok. No that's fine. Clint really it's fine. Just be careful. I love you too." She hung up her phone and sighed heavily.
Steve cleared his throat. He knew she probably already knew he was there. But Steve wasn't raised to be impolite.
She turned and looked at him.
Her slim shoulders shrugged. "Clint doesn't think he'll make it back for tomorrow."
"I'm sorry Natasha. Can I get you anything?"
She shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Night Steve." In truth she wasn't fine. This was her first Christmas without Clint since she had met him.
"Night Natasha." Steve watched her walk down to her bedroom before heading to the kitchen for his snack.
At one am Tony was finally wrapping his presents. He

Zack knocked on the apartment door, calling out as he tentatively entered the room.
"Angeal? You in here?"
Silence answered his question. Giving a slight 'humph' of annoyance, Zack walked through the apartment, searching for some clue of where his mentor may have gone. There was nothing. No clues. Only an illuminated computer screen.
Glancing left and right, Zack hesitated then bolted over to the computer. He sat on the chair and fixed his eyes on the screen, before the chair rotated.
"Woah!" he cried out, before realising it was a 'wheelie chair'. Smiling happily to himself, Zack spun several more times.
Pulling himself back to his original intentions, Zack examined t

~Just a Touch~
When all the lights go out
I am left here alone
No-one there beside me
Left alone with my thoughts
I dont really know how I turned out this way.
Twisting and turning
Unable to escape
I'm a prisoner I'm a slave
I'm the executioner at my hanging
I guess it all started when they died.
My blood is on my hands
I try to put it on you
The innocent now the guilty
The murderer now goes free
You look at me
Do you see the lies behind the smile
The death behind the life
Everyone says it wasn't my fault, that nothing I could've done would have changed the outcome.
I just can't

Chapter One: A Prank
Sigyn was sat in her and Loki’s corner of the library, her legs crossed and a book in her hands. Loki had warned her away from the palace earlier that day. He’d said it with a glint in his eyes that made her think of mischief to come; and, with that, she’d left him to his business, pitying whoever was on the receiving end of his plans.
She’d gone to the library to occupy herself and had found her way to a rarely-used part of the library. There she had found a number of books on Midgardian history and traditions; she’d always been fascinated by those things. She liked Midgardian fiction, but their traditions were something else.
HealShe could hear them. The children and adults all heading towards the church to be healed from their geostigma. She could hear their laughter and happiness as the hope they had been holding onto proved to be worth it.Heal6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
She leant her head back against the wall. No one would find her here. No one would come and bring her to the church to be healed. She had chosen this place specifically so no one could find her and now it was the one thing that made the tears slip down her cheeks.
She had watched her brother die and had believed the same would happen to her. She wanted peace for her final moments, but what did she get?
The knowledge that she was going to die alone in here while listening to the happiness of everyone else being healed.
Her eyes drifted down along her arms which were black with the stigma, and then down to her legs. Her trousers were drenched in the stigma that had come from her own body, and she knew because she had tried before that she could not walk.
She was going to die
Another Night, Another Dream - LokiThe sunlight provided a warm pleasant sensation as it danced across his pale skin; Loki turned his face upwards towards the source of light with a slight smile playing across his lips. From his vantage point he could hear the chattering of the ordinary people as they milled about, engrossed in their trivial boring lives, lulled into the security that came with being a citizen of Asgard. Their chattering as usual was of no interest to Loki, he didn't lack the ability to comprehend their dull blather, he simply lacked interest in their utterly monotonous lives. He opened his eyes, the glare of the sun which reflected gaudily off the shining golden buildings caused his eyes to protest; he narrowed his eyes setting a scowl onto his regal featuresAnother Night, Another Dream - Loki2 years ago in Drama More Like This

Sticking to the roofs, while trying to come up with any decent plan of action, Daimon manages to somehow avoid the Kingdom's armed forces, that stubbornly patrol the streets below, searching for him. His wounds keep bleeding under the bandages his enemy was forced to provide and right now Daimon feels like the blood that escapes them freezes instead of coagulating. He is sitting with his back to a smoking brick chimney, hiding from the freezing wind and flexing his fingers and toes as much as he can to fight back frostbite. The weather has gone from nippy to downright arctic, making Daimon once again consider trying to get to another city on Earth, somewhere warmer for a time being. But his wings wouldn't carry him on such a long distance right now and going down to find a flying carpet to the djinnis that always literally buzz with rumors, would mean compromising his presence here to pretty much everybody.
On the other hand, he's well compromised alr

Drago wakes up without a single fatal wound. It turns out the Ravens of Death, or at least this particular still living specimen, are quite the morning birds, because Litiel is gone, having left the bed and comforter all at Gamerin's disposal. But the coat is still there as well, indicating the demon couldn't have gone very far.
The angel dresses, sticks his knives and guns into all the right places, and leaves the room.
He finds Litiel in the living room. The demon is shirtless, doing push-ups in the middle of the room. When the angel comes in, he stops exercising and gets up, nodding to the Sheolit. "Morning, Drago."
"Morning, Raven" He regards the one-armed demon with respect, then smirks. "No hangover?"
"None at all," the demon's face reflects Drago's expression. "Earthly alcohol is harmless. Even more so when you're used to drinks from the Depths."
"I bet. You never know what's with mixing them, though" Drago murmurs, amused. Strange things

Its just a cold, the nurse had said, a days rest should have him up and about again, just like new. He had detested the idea of leaving the delinquents to other prefects, the idea of leaving someone less prepared to try to handle Izms antics while he is convalescing in his dormitory, but he couldnt ignore it any longer. He couldnt run two minutes without a coughing fit, his vision blurred, his body was burning up and only dignity kept him from stripping off his shirt to try to cool his skin. He couldnt keep food down, either, and at that point, the nurse stepped in. She was firm that he needed bed rest, and wouldnt give in.
Nngh Regardless, it sucks, being stuck in bed all day. He shudders beneath his blanket and a hand takes the damp towel from his forehead.

It took Sigyn less than a day to find any sort of civilization, though it certainly wasn't what she was hoping to find. This town was small, little more than a handful of roads and buildings and so quiet that for a moment Sigyn feared it was abandoned. When someone came out of a building with the word 'Diner' in glowing, flickering script above it she nearly jumped at the sudden disruption. A quick glamour concealed the cut on her face and altered her clothing to make her clothing look less Asgardian.
The diner was nearly empty when she entered, a single bell announcing her arrival. A woman with greying red hair came out from the back. "What can I get for you, honey?"
When Sigyn opened her mouth the words wouldn't come. It had been many years since she'd last been to Midgard and suddenly she felt very lost. Something as simple as ordering food shouldn't be this difficult, but contact with anyone after days of paranoid isolation left her overwhelmed.
"Hey, you alright?"

- Another Hero. Another Mindless Crime -
When you are stuck in an unfamiliar city in winter, at night, with no place to go to and no one to turn to, you don't really care where you're going, as long as the movement keeps you at least a bit warm. And when apart from all of the above, you also happen to be a Destroyer of Worlds, who received an order that turned your friends into your enemies and made you go rogue, it seems things just can't get any worse. But, as you might know, thinking that usually makes life prove you wrong.
And that's exactly what happened, when Daimon Frey wandered into a dark alley crowded with policemen, simply to get distracted from his own problems and because he was curious. The cars packed with law-enforcement and an ambulance appear to have just arrived, for their object of interest remains unmoved: a horribly maimed carcass of a mortal man with long black hair chained by the arms to two drainpipes, hanging few feet above ground. The humans

Loki's hand lay on the small of her back whilst the other took a hold of hers. Sigyn's hand fell upon his shoulder as they began the dance she had not expected. She stared at him, supposing that this was something considered normal amongst a courting couple. A dance. But there was something strange about Loki's demeanour that made Sigyn wary; an almost terseness that she had felt as soon as he'd come across her speaking his brother.
"Were you having an interesting conversation with my brother?" he asked, something of an edge to his voice.
"I was; he seems pleasant," Sigyn replied with a polite smile.

It wasn't until Sigyn went to her wardrobe to dress later that day that she understood exactly what Loki had meant when he'd said that she'd come around to his point of view. She opened her wardrobe and was confronted with the fact that all of the clothes inside it had become a myriad of green and black.
She scowled. Sigyn didn't know how or when, but the God of Mischief had managed to change all of her clothes just to make sure that she wore the colours he had chosen for her. His colours. She muttered a curse at Loki under her breath, hoping that he somehow could know how annoyed she was.

"Mad Love"The walls of madhouse Arkham Asylum were made of granite stone, giving off the feeling of darkness and dread. It seemed appropriate enough; to most people on the outside world, Arkham was a last stop for all those falling out of sanity- there they would live out the rest of their lives, unwise and corrupted right out of their minds."Mad Love"8 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The walls were lined with vast cells, each holding a rickety fold up bed and a rusty sink. The presentation of each cell was tedious, but because of economy problems in Gotham city, the Asylum was but a mere thought in the back of Mayor Hill's head for renovations.
The newest thing about it were the plexiglass walls holding each cellmate in- after three mysterious deaths in one of the cells it was strongly suggested that glass was to be fitted to analyse behaviour from a safe distance.
At the end of the main corridor were two offices. The first one belonged to the head and founder of Arkham Asylum, Jeremiah Arkham. Though he had had many near deaths caused

The pain was unbearable.
An agonizing wait filled the space between each new drop falling my face became a burning sea, each new drop a wave of fire. Held in eternity, I waited for the next wave, dreading that fire, but it never came. Instead, scared and angry screams replaced the laughter to which I had become far too accustomed.
The soft familiar sound of leather boots became too slowly distant and the clamor of steel followed. A metal arm grabbed at me. I made myself small; I tried to move away. But the arm grabbed me anyway. Then I heard the voice and stopped struggling. "By the Vault's Perfect Key, what did those animals do to you?"
The hard soil was gone; instead arms of icy steel cradled me.
The pain was unbearable, but that was good it meant I would live.
