One of my favourite games which dates back to as early as 1993. A game with a unique atmosphere and story, not to mention you controls a giant train!
I hope one day someone or some company will recreate this game with modern graphics and add-ons.
Those who played it know what I mean as for those who not I only suggest to try it out!

Story of the game:
In the 21st century the Earth's climate was in grave danger by the greenhouse effect and the humans initiated a project to stop it. This project is based on a nuclear device which radiated Gamma rays into the atmosphere to create a protective cloud layer. But it worked too well and a thick cloud layer covered the entire planet thus creating a new ice age. (My suggestion is only at the equator the temperature could only reach some positive degrees Celsius)
Hundreds or a thousand years later we now controlling a giant locomotive called the Transarctica. In this world the only reliable transportation are using steam trains and the track connecting the remaining cities. But this comes at a cost as the Viking Union monopolizes the transportation network and defends it well. Also the Mammoths are returned to life from the Elephants, large wolf packs and Nomads roam the wast snow and ice regions of the planet. The only hope of this cold and snow covered planet is the ancient Project called The Sun...

This picture is from the game, the intro screen. I wish I could draw like a pro and I would draw a similar picture too.

As an extra info: as this locomotive was weighted 1000 tons! You could find a little weird of having so few wheels, but if you look closely you can see that the "big" wheels are around 4-5 meter in diameter while the smaller ones are around 2 meters!

Edit: Slightly changed the colour and sharpened a bit.

Another locomotive, this one for heavy freight service. (What's this? I drew Walschaerts instead of Baker valve gear? :iconohnoesplz: )

Also, this is probably the only Camelback where the fireman has an actual cab.

(And a mechanical stoker!)
