Unbreakable Promise ch.1Unbreakable Promise
Chapter One: Bartering and running
The Vargas family was a simple sort; Serafina and Romulus were still newlyweds when the seeds to tear their family apart were sown. While his wife was five months pregnant, Romulus was sent out to war, leaving her to fend for herself. So far along in her pregnancy Serafina was unable to do any sort of job. Watching other children would require too much running around, sewing was tiresome in her state and she would not get enough done to make true money from it.
Desperate for money and food, Serafina turned to something she would wish she hadn't for the rest of her life; she turned to a pirate. It was not a sought out meeting by either, simply a curse of fate. While Serafina was sitting in her home, wondering how to gather food or pay for other things when her baby came, her door swung open to reveal a man with dark hair and brown eyes. She immedia

Chapter Seven: A Night time visitor
Lovino rolls over in bed, finally asleep after being dragged all over the place by Matthew. He got a lot of things done today, but not the thing he wanted to the most. "Mnn…Antonio…." His voice is quiet, only a mumble in his sleep, but it's more than enough to elicit a laugh from is window. Wait. His window? Green eyes shoot open as Lovino jumps up in his bed to look at his window, seeing Antonio on his windowsill. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Hmmm? I was called, wasn't I~?" Antonio teases, getting off the window sill and walking over to Lovino's bed.
"I'm not sure if this would qualify as retarded, creepy, or romantic…" Lovino mumbles, eyeing him suspiciously. "So…what are you actually doing?" He asks, holding his blanket over his body.
"I...I really wanted to talk to you." Antonio says, sitting at the foot of the bed. "So…Lovino…c

Chapter Eleven: Betrayal
Lovino sits down on the couch followed by Antonio. Without a word or glance at the man Lovino moves closer, their arms and hips touching. Antonio tenses up a little when he feels a head rest on his shoulder. Is this Lovino seeking comfort? Could the story really be that devastating to him that someone like Lovino will need someone close as he says it? Better question; would Lovino fight if he tried to hold him right now?
"Don't even try it." The Italian says quickly when he notices Antonio's arm begin to raise.
Antonio sighs, placing it on the arm rest. "Fiinne, I'll behave."
Lovino takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. "It all started when I was about fifteen…"

Chapter Four: An Actor's Home
Lovino continues to eat his meal with Antonio in the strange restaurant. It's true, no one has bothered them. In fact, he's pretty sure the windows on the outside are tinted so people can't see them. He should make sure Feliciano knows about this place.
"So, Lovi…are you…um…enjoying yourself?" Antonio asks and Lovino looks over at him and nods.
"If I wasn't, would I have stayed here for two hours with you?" Lovino mumbles and Antonio gasps.
"Wait! It's been two hours?"
"Yeah…why? Have somewhere you need to be?"
Antonio shakes his head, looking around nervously. "N-no…it's just…Francis' shift has ended…"
Lovino raises a brow. "He can just leave when customers are still here?"
Antonio sighs and nods. "I'm sure it will be fine though. This restaurant is really good about this stuff."
"Well…we should leave just in case, I guess." Lovino suggests and Antonio frowns.

Chapter Two: Frustration
"Hey, let's go see Tony!" Antonio says taking Lovino's hand and leading him down the hall of the teen's home.
"It's been forever, I can't believe we haven't heard from him in so long." Lovino says blandly, making Antonio stop in his tracks and look back at him disapprovingly.
"No!" He chides, bopping the boy on the nose with his script. "Bad Lovino! You read it like you mean it!"
Lovino groans. "I'm not an actor, can't I just go back to my room already? Or even to the kitchen and make a snack?"
Antonio smiles at him, the award winning smile he gives in all of his photo-shoots, which just makes Lovino more pissed. "As happy as it would make me to eat your homemade foods, we must get this down for next week's stage rehearsal."
"Who said you could have any?" Lovino grumbles, looking away from the fake smile. "Besides, doing this in the house feels like we are five and playi

Chapter Nine: A day at work
Lovino heads into the movie set with Antonio, quickly running into Katyusha and Bella. "Oh, good morning." He says, smiling at the girls.
"AAaaaaaaaahhhhhh!" Katyusha whines, tears welling up in her eyes. "NOOO!" She cries, running off to her dressing room.
"What in the-?" Lovino mumbles, getting cut off by a grinning Bella.
"Don't mind her, she just lost a bet~! She is such a sore loser!" She explains in a sing-song voice.
"It's not that she's a sore loser so much as it's your bets are always harsh!" Antonio points out, laughing a little.
"Hm? How much money does she owe you?" Lovino asks, making Bella and Antonio laugh.
"Bella doesn't need money, her bets are more…embarrassing!" Antonio explains. "One time when I lost I had to dress as Sailor Moon and say quotes from it for a week!" He says, laughing awkwardly. "I was thirteen so people found it cute more than disturbing…"

Chapter Three: A storm
Amidst the groaning of the ships, and of her crew, Lovino tries desperately to cling to sleep for as much longer as he can. They are arriving at a port today, which will be nice, but until then he doesn't really want to associate with anyone. Perhaps Matthew, but as nice as he is the boy is still a pirate so Lovino cannot trust him.
"Hmmm…sleeping beauty sure is a stubborn one, huh?" Antonio asks, leaning over him on the bed. "I know you're awake, Lovi."
Lovino's eyes shoot open and his face goes bright red. "O-only because some pirate decided to get so close to me in a bed!" He huffs, rolling over to face Antonio and push him away.
"Haha! Well, worry not; we are very close to shore. We should be there by tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" The Italian whines. "Matthew said today!"
"Yes…well….it was going to be today…until…" Antonio look

Chapter Six: A Visitor
Antonio yawns and climbs out of bed exhausted. He was up all night with Lovino playing an epic game of Wii Tennis, followed by Wii Baseball and golf and then Wii Pacman. They played pretty much every game that Lovino could think of so he could win; which he never did.
"Such a sore loser." He says to himself, a goofy grin on his face as he remembers the pouts Lovino made and the frustrated attacks towards him with pillows. "He's so cute when he's angry~"
"Isn't he though? The way his eyes darken with anger and his cheeks get all flushed and puffed out." A boy says, standing beside Antonio as he waters his plants.
"Yeah, and how he will start cursing in Italian, calling me things I don't-" Antonio stops himself and looks to the boy next to him in shock. The boy was obviously a young teen, and obviously related to Lovino. Their hairstyle was similar, minus the colo

Chapter One: The stranger
Antonio Fernandez Carriedo is a kind, hardworking man. At twenty five years old he owns his own café, has a nice little house behind it, and owns about forty acres of land behind it which he fills with his garden. In this garden is berries, tomatoes, peppers, and various other fruits and vegetables. He uses most of these for the ingredients to his salads and sandwiches in his café, but there's a slight problem. While he loves his café, and the thought of growing food for people, making them happy with his creations; he has little to no business.
At the end of the day, such as now, he doesn't have much to clean up. Most of his customers are elderly or his friends and they all clean-up for themselves. Just once he would like a young customer he wasn't friends with. Someone who just came here on their own. Of course that will never happen, his caf

Chapter Eight: A New Friend?
Antonio groans as he watches Lovino show Abel around the café. He made sure Abel knew he would NOT be working there, yet Lovino still wants to show him around. Just when did those two become so close? Perhaps Lovino wouldn't be so warm to him if he knew what he was really doing there.
"Lovino, you see to have a head for business " Abel says, eying the Italian suspiciously. "As if your family might run a few of their own?"
"Not at all." Lovino lies without missing a beat. "My dad works at a factory and mom is dead." He adds, making Antonio smile a little at the lie. At least he still has the upper hand in that department. "I simply always wanted to own a café, like that simpleton." Lovino says, gesturing towards Antonio.
"That's right, two peas in a pod, right Lovi?" Antonio asks, grinning at the boy.

Chapter Eighteen: His Royal Try
Antonio wakes up and looks at the boy next to him, a small smile coming to his lips. It hasn't been very long since they confessed to each other, about three weeks probably, and most of their days are spent apart as they figure out where to find a sea witch. Which makes moments like this where the two are lying in bed, where Antonio can simply relax and hold Lovino to him, far more precious. He honestly has to force himself to get up in the morning.
"Mnn…Antonio…you are doing that weird thing again." Lovino mumbles in his semi-conscious state.
"Hm? What thing?" Antonio asks curiously, watching the tired pout form on the merman's lips.
"Where you watch me sleep with that strange smile on your face."
The Spaniard blinks, a bit taken aback. Is his happy expression that strange? "…I don't even know where to begin with that offensive statement."

Chapter Four: A Day Off
Antonio wakes up with a large grin on his face. Today he's spending with Lovino, but not like every other day he spends with him. No, today will be much different. Rather than seeing each other simply in the house and café or discussing business, they will be going around town and discussing other things. Maybe Antonio will even get some more information about Lovino out of the boy.
"Lovi~! Time to get up~!" Antonio calls, heading to Lovino's room.
"Do! Not! Open that door!" Lovino yells from the other side of the door, kicking it for emphasis. "You're not accosting me in my own damn room again!"
"Awww, you think of it as your room! You really are getting comfortable here!" Antonio teases, reveling in the stutters he hears from the other end.

Chapter Twelve: Dense
Lovino yawns and wakes up, immediately noticing a few strange things. First, rather than his nice warm bed, he's asleep on the couch. Second, and this is a big second, is that rather than actually being on the cushions of said couch he is laying on a certain Spaniard who is still sound asleep. "Oh dear god…" He groans , sitting up on Antonio's stomach. "Get up, you idiot."
Antonio stretches beneath him before flashing a lazy smile. "Morning Lovi."
Lovino blushes and stands up quickly. "D-don't smile at me so stupidly."
"Wooow, you sure are cold this morning." The Spaniard teases, sitting up tiredly.
"Ugh, my neck hurts…why did I have to sleep on the couch?" Lovino groans, stretching out. "And on such an uncomfortable object." He grumbles and Antonio huffs.
"Rude, Lovi, rude."
The two of them fall into a tense silence for a minute before Lovino looks back over to him.

Chapter Fourteen: Tell him your plans
It finally happens. Frederick makes a move. When everyone wakes from the late night celebration, there's a note on the kitchen table.
'Hello again, Lovino. I hope you don't mind we borrowed your cute little brothers for a while. If you have any interest in getting them back, you can meet us at the warehouse. You know the one.
~Until then, Frederick'
Lovino's expression is empty as he stares at the note, his hands clutching onto it so tight his knuckles turn a pale white. Alone in his kitchen he quietly sets the paper back down and slips out before anyone can notice. The minute he closes the door, however, Romulus tenses up.
"Something's not right…" Romulus mumbles.
"Romulus!" Antonio hollers from the kitchen, making everyone run in where he is holding a note. "Fre

They arrive on the large island and Lovino immediately goes into the water, enjoying the wet sand between his feet. He's been sailing on the sea, but how long has it been since he's actually been in it? "This place is nice." Lovino mumbles, wiggling his toes experimentally in the soft dirt.
"Ahh, never went into the ocean with bare feet, huh?" Antonio asks, walking up to him. "You can enjoy it all you want once we find her."
"Yes, Marcello, Feliciano and I will go search for her by water." Lovino says, looking to his brothers.
"Ah! We get to take our pants off!" Feliciano says excitedly, almost ripping the clothing off before diving into the water.
"Ah…" Marcello mumbles before letting out a heavy sigh. "Well, we should join him." He says, lowering his pants to the ground as he makes sure to keep himself covered with his shirt until he goes out into th

Chapter Nine: Attraction
Antonio heads to his now constantly busy café. Of course a good lot of the reason is customers, but even more is the obnoxious people that seem to have followed Lovino into the café. Who would have thought such an antisocial boy would attract so many people?
"Lovino! Lovino! Please let me live with you!" Raivis practically cries as he clings to the Italian.
"For the last time, it's not going to happen." Lovino says, looking to Abel. "What did you do this time?"
Abel raises a brow. "Hm? I have done nothing."
"I was talking to his sister this morning and he threatened my life if I ever did again!" Raivis cries. "I wasn't flirting with her, I swear!"
"You shouldn't talk to her at all alone in the morning." Abel says. "Especially when she is just in her nightgown."

Lovino sighs as his boyfriend drags him into the oh-so-familiar restaurant. He knows it's a bad choice for Antonio, and to a lesser extent himself, but with how excited the man got over the idea of a date he couldn't say no. The two arrive inside to be greeted by Francis.
"Hello Antonio! I have your room upstairs and I assure you it will only be me waiting on you. I set it up under a fake name so you have nothing to worry about!" Francis says, leading them through a back way into the room. "Only my boss knows and he is a very discreet man."
Antonio smiles at Francis, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Thank you, Francis."
The blonde smiles. "Anything to help with love!" He says, winking at them before going to get their drinks.
"So now that we're alone…" Lovino begins, looking at Antonio with a serious stare. "I have a question to ask you."
"Oohh sounds serious!" Antonio teases. "Ask awa

Chapter Seven: Ivan
Lovino watches as Antonio and his crew celebrate their escape, not to mention the recent finds of rich cloths and plates. As the men down their beer and wine, Lovino sees Raivis in the corner sipping at some water. The kid is pretty much the embodiment of purity, everything god teaches us to be. He speaks no ill towards anyone, does not drink, fight, lie, cheat, steal, the list goes on. No doubt this kid is his ticket to freedom. Of course he's known it for a while, but he hasn't been able to bring himself to say anything.
Honestly he's no longer sure he wants to leave. More than anything, everything, else that should be on his mind right now he just can't stop thinking about Antonio and his crew. Mostly Antonio though. It annoys him how much he cares about the idiot.
"Lovi, what are you doing over here?" Antonio asks, sitting next to the teen as he dangles his feet in the ocean from a dock.

Peter and Marcello wander around the town; Marcello trying to find Peter's crew and Peter desperately trying to avoid them. He doesn't know much about Antonio, but he can't just knowingly introduce the man to someone who wants to murder him. Purposefully going as far away from where he knew the men had been before, Peter looks around feigning confusion. "How weird, I don't see them anywhere. I was so sure they would be around here."
"Oh really?" Marcello asks unconvinced. "Are you positive you are not trying to avoid them because I wish to kill one?"
Peter tenses up. "I-I just he and Lovino get along really well, you know ? If you killed him you might hurt Lovino."
A dark look comes to Marcello's eyes. "I do not wish to have my brother close to a man who would kidnap him. He must die."

"Yeah." Lovino grumbled from under the covers. "He went to see you guys and then went to his room."
"Came to see us?" Spain butted in in confusion as his friend helped him into a nearby chair. "But he didn't come visit us."
"Then he must've listened to me and went to bed!" Romano growled loudly, wanting the two to be quiet.

Chapter Four: His Royal Landing
Lovino paces around Antonio's room, his face bright red. He's been on the ship for a month now, creating his quoted amount of jewels every night, yet he is still mistreated! Every time he leaves the bedroom, Antonio comes out of nowhere and latches onto him so people believe they are 'together', since apparently that is the safest thing for Lovino. It's such a big title that everyone only calls him by 'the Captain's lover' or 'the Captain's mermaid', its degrading! He has a name!
Not to mention all of the touching and strange words like 'honey' are annoying. Why would he want to be some sticky human food? Just the thought of being sticky grosses him out. It must be an insulting name.
"Lovino, we're arriving at port soon." Antonio says, entering the room where the boy is pacing. "Ahhh you're still worked up over a simple slap on the ass? You nee

The temperature was icy though Arthur could feel nothing but such and a sensation of agony running through him from his abdominal.
The pitiless ocean water swirled past his lips, filling his lungs with a solid force as he searched desperately for air. His emerald eyes burned as the salt plunged itself onto the green orbs, though his tears were evaporated against the shadowy water hindering his sight of anything as it filled with his blood.
Though he couldn't hear it, having collapsed rearward into the bitter ocean, cutting off his senses as the pain and shock disabled him as he swiftly floated further away from surface.
The Prussian gave a harsh push, making the Frenchman locking fists with him stumble backwards before he started running where he could see blood soil the water.

They have returned to the ship, a machine that fascinates Marcello. He constantly pesters anyone he can about how it works, quickly writing their answers down. Lovino doesn't have the heart to tell him wood will not float underwater.
Every night Marcello sleeps with Peter; it's the only way Lovino can keep his room without complaint from the boy. Francis has been meeting with Marcello a lot as well, which makes Lovino highly uneasy. When the two get together they both have a strange look in their eyes that Lovino can't pinpoint. A sort of scheming look.

Matthew cried out muffled screams and pleas though the man's hand blocked them out. He was wiggling, tossing back and forth as he was dragged towards the coast and his energy was slowly being worn out.
They moved across the warm sand, the moon lighting their way across the sparkling beach as they walked. Moving farther and farther away from the little town, soon the only thing Matthew's violet eyes could see when he looked left and right were the dark trees of the thick forest, the merciless waters of the sea and of course, more sand.
Gabriel smiled as a large ship came into view. It was pleasantly decorated, eagles carved neatly into the wood. The bow formed skillfully into an elegant angel, arms stretched out to hug the waters it crashed into.
But this wasn't Arthur's ship
Still, the thing seemed so acquainted to Matthew though as he squinted, staring at it in awe, he couldn't put his finger on its familiarity.
