Back to Basics Photography - CompositionLately I've seen quite a few photos that have potential, but need some work. Composition is one of the most important parts to taking any photo (and making any piece of art really) and so I thought I'd share a few basic rules and tips. The word composition simply means 'putting together' and so, with any piece of art, it's how the piece is put together. With a bit of practice while keeping these tips in mind, you can create a more impacting, pleasing to the eye piece of work that will draw the viewer in and keep them interesting.Back to Basics Photography - Composition3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
You could crop your images afterwards when you get them onto the computer, but it'd be lovely to have a great image right off the boot, right? By keeping in mind the things below, you'll be well on your way to taking better photos. And don't forget, it's always better to know the rules before you start break them A few tips before we start;
Look around using the viewfinder every time you take a picture.
Look at each element and how it impacts the overall co

AmericaXreader Save me chapter 1You had enough of Britain. 2 years of dating him and all what came from it was abuse and tears. Well this was the last straw. You would rather go out with France than stay with him. You had cuts all the way down your arms with some on your stomach and you got hit in the head with a baseball bat several times in the head. You vision was blurry but you managed to find a ditch to barf in, but as you started to do that a strong hand fell on your shoulder. You knew it couldn't be Britain it had to be someone else. You turned around to see America. He looked shocked.AmericaXreader Save me chapter 14 years ago in Personal More Like This
"Yo dude your head is like totally gushing out blood man." He whispered into your ear
Your head reached to your head where you felt warmth and blood started to drip down your arms from all the blood. You wanted to beat up Britain like he did to you but you could hardly stand much less keep your consciousness. You passed out as soon as America offered to help you.
When you awoke America was pushing on your chest but when he saw y
Twenty Awesome ArtistsI had promised the first twenty artists that commented my previous journal a feature of three deviations from their gorgeous galleries. The motive was to display Artists you may have never come across. I want to sincerely apologize for taking so long but it was quite tough to pick my favorite three and I've tried to show a different side of the artists presented forth.Twenty Awesome Artists4 years ago in Personal More Like This

if it doesn't come bursting out of you
in spite of everything,
don't do it.
unless it comes unasked out of your
heart and your mind and your mouth

don't do it.
if you have to sit for hours
staring at your computer screen
or hunched over your
searching for words,
don't do it.
if you're doing it for money or
don't do it.
if you're doing it because you want
women in your bed,
don't do it.
if you have to sit there and
rewrite it again and again,
don't do it.
if it's hard work just thinking about doing it,
don't do it.
if you're trying to write like somebody
forget about it.
if you have to wait for it to roar out of

if it never does roar out of you,

you're not ready.

New translation, with some suggestions from my "other side of the world friend" naikki
The King lets the drums roll
- The King lets the drums roll,
To see the ladies all
And the first one he saw
Robbed him of his soul.
- Marquis, tell me, do you know
Who this lovely lady is?
And the Marquis replied:
Your Majesty, she's my wife.
- Marquis, you're happier than I
To have a woman so beautiful.
If you give me this honor,
With her I would sleep.
- Your Majesty, you've got all the power
All the power and fortitude
But if you were not the King
I would have my revenge!
- Marquis, do not be angry,
You'll have your reward:
I would have you in my armies
A handsome Marshall of France.
- Farewell, my love, goodbye, my sweetheart,
Farewell my hope!
Since you must serve the King,

GrowthI want to share something which I wrote with you all over on my G+ yesterday titled "Frustrations with photography & the social aspects contained within"Growth3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now what you may think is a rant because it sounds like it is within the first 2 paragraphs actually isn't and I think many of you will be a tad shocked at what you read considering how outspoken I am when it comes to deviantART and the way the site is run. Please read that and come back here to my journal after doing so.
Truth is though, I was basically kicking back Friday evening and just relaxing. I had never really paid much attention to my gallery on here. Sure it is there, however I have never really looked at it for the perspective of an outsider before. I saw a lot which really inspired me. I thought for a second and remembered back to the days when I used to say to osagelady how I wish my work would get a 100 favs and how

Well here they are, hope that you enjoy this feature and please feel free to favorite and or comment on these lovely pieces of art.
Also let's give jennystokes a big thank you for finding and favoring these amazing pieces of art from these amazing artists, without her good eye for art this would not have been possible.
