Was this going to be the end of everything? The end of her homeland? Of everything she knew and loved and cared about?
Twilight Sparkle sat in front of the large monument to Luna and stared up at the tribute to the fallen princess of the night. Her death had come as a shock to everyone, even now the details were kept secret from the rest of the world. Only the royal family knew the truth. Knew of her weakening, how the nightmare from so long ago had threatened to return and overwhelm the princess and how Luna had sacrificed herself to keep it from happening. No pony knew about how the elements had no effect this time, in keeping the darkness from Luna's soul. The public simply believed she had grown ill.
Celestia was once again taking care of both day and night as she had before when Nightmare Moon was imprisoned, but back then she had something to look forward to. She knew Nightmare Moon would be free one day, had prepared to cleanse her sister of darkness. Now, there was no pony to c

Cracks and snaps sounded quietly in defiance of the thick tension that permeated the air. The familiar dance of tongues of flame flashed against stone and wood alike, the thin extensions twisting and twirling before detaching from the body of fire and evaporating from existence. She could very well have sat there and eyed the tiny expression of both destruction and creation for hours and never get bored. However, a particularly loud snap brought her to her senses.
Soft, sad music accompanied the crackle of the flames; the brass sedated, yet powerful as a pony sang a haunting melody of tragedy and loss. She sympathised with the long-dead stallion. Soon after, the strings, led by a piano, took the lead from the brass and pounding rhythm section.

"Heavyn?" came a voice. When she didn't show any signs of hearing it, it sighed, then "HEAVYN!!!"
The shout snapping out of her reverie, Heavyn shook her armored head and replied with an intelligent, "Huh?"
"Finally!" exclaimed the X-blade. "Do you realize how long it took for you to realize that I was trying to get your attention?"
Suddenly, Heavyn felt the glider descending as the X-blade growled, "Well, we need to talk, and not while we're in mid-air."
Jaw dropping underneath her helmet, Heavyn was shocked at how angry the X-blade sounded.

Chapter 2: Keeping Promises
"Bumblebee?" A voice called. Bumblebee at first thought that he was hearing things, so he ignored it. "Bee?" It called again. Ok, maybe he wasn't dreaming. He twitched some but fell silence again. "Oh, come on Bumblebee!" This time the voice was followed a hand grabbing his shoulder and shaking him. Bumblebee's eyes shot open to find Knockout standing beside him with his hands on his hips. Bumblebee looked around for a minute. He apparently fell asleep some time during the night while looking at the moon. He slept sitting on his knees with his face against the window and his hands folded in his lap. As he moved around, he felt how stiff and sore his body was from sleeping that way.
"Megatron wishes to see you." Knockout said as he walked back over to the door. Bumblebee stood with a sigh and joined Knockout as he opened the door.
(What for?) Bumblebee asked.
"I don't know, he only asked me to bring you to him

Grace was in a state of total despondency as she wandered out of the nail salon early that afternoon. The bangs of her long, sunny-blonde hair clung to the sides of her pale face like glue. Her glazed azure-blue eyes stared straight ahead as she walked along the dirty sidewalk pavement, not paying an ounce of attention to the crowds of people rushing past her left and right. Never before had she felt so low in spirits, so downtrodden and hopeless. It was like someone had torn out her heart and stomped it to pieces into the ground. She wasn't going to burst out crying, though; she wasn't willing to let her disappointment take her THAT far.
Like most 19-year-old college dropouts she knew of, Grace was looking for a part-time job with adequate pay. However, the last 7 places she applied to all rejected her for someone who was apparently much more highly qualified. This nail salon, one place that she herself had frequently visited in her younger d
Red MeatI asked one-hundred men:Red Meat3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Is it something you should avoid -
Is it the bane of your existence
that you contemplate
all you cannot fathom, like
how your body has hair growing where it
never used to be, and no longer
grows hair where you'd like it to be?
Does it make you more aggressive,
or is it red meat
that affects you in this way?
Is it the lack of oral sex,
or owning a dog that always detects
your ball sweat
but you don't want to switch to a cat
for fear of what
the neighbors might think.
Is this why road rage has gotten
worse over the years,
or exists at all?
Or is it a cry for help, chafing from
all that sweat, making pores larger
from masturbating while stuck in gridlock?
I've pondered these things lately.

Have you ever tried to talk to an artists you admire on DA and s/he ignores you?
Well, there's a few tips on how to talk to them and get more comments back...
I don't say this will always work, because some artists are just too busy, or too shy to talk back, but it will work better than if you just bluntly ask a question.
There are nice artists who will answer your question, so make them feel a bit special for doing you a favor.
Here's my tip on how to talk to some big name artists...
===== MOST IMPORTANTLY!

Morning WalkEvery morning before heading off to school, Otake Akitsu would stop by Matsumoto Kiyose's house and wait for her. Today was no exception.Morning Walk5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"C'mon, Kiyose! I don't have all day, you know! Hurry your cute little ass up and let's go already!!" Akitsu called out loudly without any concern for the neighbors. She gave the hilt of her kendo blade, which was concealed within its sack, a gentle squeeze as she waited. An old man jogging past threw her a strange look, but Akitsu simply ignored it.
About three minutes later, the front door flew open, and the bespectacled girl came rushing out, adjusting her glasses for about the fifth time that morning as she ran. She looked rather flustered, and for good reason. She narrowed her eyes in annoyance as she glared up at the taller girl.
"Good morning, Akitsu! S-Sorry I was late! I misplaced my algebra textbook, so it took me a while to find it! Anyway, Akitsu...did you..." Kiyose took in a deep breath, "Did you really have to say all those things so l

The next morning dawned upon a figure formed of lumps, sound asleep under a massive pile of blankets atop a large, luxurious bed. The gilded posters shimmered in the early twilight, the sun having yet to crest the horizon. Purple velvet curtains strung between the posts blocked the sleeping creature from the view of the outside world, despite the fact that the room was sacrosanct. In those troubled times, nothing was held sacred.
Soft carpets of deep crimson padded the floor under the bed. On either side sat two delicately carved end tables: a slender green banker's lamp on one, and a ticking clock and yellow bottle sitting upon the other. A large, white vanity hugged one of the walls flanking the bed, gilded in fine reliefs of plants and flowers. A dresser lay on the opposite side; a gold and onyx crown sat on a head form on the top.
Overall, the room was smaller than one might expect for a goddess, but since it wa

Didact and the rings monitor, 343 Guilty Spark, began the long walk into the control station of Installation 04. The thin glass floor reflected his own grim expression back at him. The more he thought about it, the more he began to accept the fact that the Forerunner were fated to live this day moment they had encountered the Flood. The parasites numbers combined with his own peoples arrogance a fault he himself was most certainly not exempt from- were the two variables that had led them down the path to the events currently taking place.
They were all but doomed, and every Forerunner, whether they wished to accept it or not, knew this to be inevitable. Perhaps a few would survive in the shield worlds, maybe even the Ark, but their numbers would be so thin
