The Difference Between ThemWheatley sat on the small bed that belonged to his human companion. Pointed directly to look at nothing but the one thing he couldn't help but hate. He would admit that such a feeling was irrational even for someone like him, but he couldn't help the feeling of disgust that leaked into his circuits just from the site of the thing. The cube seemed to stare back, mockingly at him, though it didn't have any optic sensors like him.The Difference Between Them3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It just sat there, scorched and remarkably dirty. It was quiet, never speaking and never gave any acknowledgement to him when he spoke to it. Faintly, he considered the fact that it was just a block. Those thoughts were pushed out of mind when she was there though. She would smile at the cube and pat it. Occasionally she would use it as a seat when she was reading, or as a table when she was eating. The sheer fondness for the block was enough convincing for Wheatley that it must have been sentient like him or else Chell wouldn't like it so much.

That was the first thing he said when she met him. Back then, Chell had just woken from suspension in a place called Aperture Science and he needed help getting out. His name was Wheatley. He traveled around the facility using a ceiling rail. But that could only take him so far. Now and again Chell had to carry him around. He wasn't smart. He got both of them into heaps of trouble and almost killed several times. In an attempt to find an escape pod, Wheatley ended awakening the insane computer who controlled all of Aperture Science, GLaDOS. He's pretty much next to useless. But his intentions were good. He was funny in his own little way. The reasons for his mistakes was because he was programed that way. He was the greatest friend Chell could ask for.

Russ discreetly left the conversation, and wandered to the other side of the stairs. Cry watched as his restless hands stroked the lighter anxiously. "We... can't leave our friends." Cry replied, smiling towards Russ.

Chapter 2, A: What went down with the car
The dark, tall church towered over the team as they were devoured by its shadows thrown from the falling sun. Cry and Russ, who were now making their way up the stairs called out to the others who lingered at the gate. "Come on." Cry tried to wave them over. "Do you guys want to be locked out when night falls?"
Ken and Pewdie shrugged, still unaware. "Guess not." Ken muttered, and entered. A loud thunder accompanied them as they stepped into their territory. Marzia clung onto Pewdie tighter. "Who is she?" She whispered.
"I'm not sure..." Pewdie narrowed his eyes at the woman standing at the door. "She sounds familiar though."
"Pewdiepie!" The woman spoke with a little smile as they entered the church. She shut the door behind her with a loud bang that echoed through

I shoot a glare at the potato attached to my portal device. Yeah, I know I've been sitting here in this corner for at least fifteen minutes, but I'm just not ready to face him yet. All I have left to do is run down the hallway and get into the funnel thing. Then I have to face the fact that Wheatley has turned against me. Is it really possible that only a few days ago I was helping him wire himself into that awful mainframe machine? It feels like it's been months.
I knew that machine was a mistake from the beginning.
I let the nagging voice coming from the potato drift away and closed my eyes to remember back to before any of this insanity with the potato GLaDOS and Wheatley going crazy.

Scared, tired, cold, wet, and alone. I shiver in the dark, after looking for my lost mother I found a nearby cave and ran inside to get out of the wet rain, it started up out of nowhere too.
I shiver as I try to warm up my hands by slowly breathing into them and rubbing them against each other. I am only a 8 year old girl, I don't know much about the world, I don't know much about anything. I was scared and alone, in this unknown cave far out into the region in the middle of the night surrounded by strange noises and dangerous pokemon.
After listening for over an hour now the fear started to take over me and I started to cry and panic, I try to crawl further into the cave but to no avail, I hid my eyes into my scabbed knees from falling over earlier and cried for a long while. Thats until I heard a small noise, I can't explain the noise I heard, it sounded disorented and yet...playful? Curious? Sad...maybe?
I swallowed down my fear and slowly looked up, at first

Shakespeare (The Tempest)
The gallows pole. A snakelike rope bound on it, quite stretched. The victim hanging by the neck wasn't present in the picture yet, still to be drawn. Spike sketched the scene he had stirring in his mind for some days now, a living picture from a half-remembered dream.
The work in the arts class that morning was about drawing a picture with the theme of free will. Normally Spike would avoid sharing the content of his thoughts with a teacher, but he couldn't get rid of that image and was urging to put it on a paper, it didn't matter if somebody else would see it. The teacher would probably tear the picture apart, but fuck it; after all it wouldn't be the first time he presented morbid pieces of art. "No artist is morbid", he remembered Sam saying to him in some occasion, "an artist can express everything. Oscar Wilde said that." Though Spike didn't consider himself an artist,

Every day I read a book, telling of their tales all alone…
Every day I remember I would escape from my room, wondering off on my own…
Every day they would bring me back from my imaginary brook, out from my comfort zone…
Every day I use to try to break open my unlock door, and yell in an unimaginable tone…
Every day I wondered if there is more to life than everyone forsook, changing myself and give atone…
Every day they tell me what I am as I shook, hating what I already know…
Every day at night the last thing I say is "I'm sorry… for what I took…", of their joy since my birth but they condone…

I even want to kill you.
I belived you tricked me,
used me up and left me at my greatest moment.
You only wanted to escape.
You never wanted to be my friend.
But in the end,
when we were being sucked into space,
when I was screaming at you,
demanding not to let me go.
You only stared. Silent.
Only now do I see the look in your eyes.
They were full of hurt and sadness.
You never meant harm.
Pride and confusion got the best of me.
You were my friend. And I was yours too.
Found that you were all I had.
Then I realized that you never left me
I left you,
became a monster inside.
And I regret that.
Because once we were both there for each other,
then I seperated myself from you by hatred,
then by walls,
then by space itself.
And there's just no way of getting back to you.
Now all I want to let you know is . . .
. . . I'm sorry, love.

Some were loading waste material into trucks to be disposed of, whilst others were carrying large vials of a clear, luminous liquid - the precious dew we came to collect.
I heard a struggling sound from behind me, and turned just enough to see a small blue creature wrapping its long ribbon-like antennae around a Rocket grunt's neck. The grunt was gasping, grabbing at the creature that wailed for help. I rolled my eyes before turning away. See what I mean? Those grunts are useless. The gasping soon stopped, and as the small creature ran past me I shot my foot out. My toes met resistance. There was a loud whine of pain and a thump as it landed a few feet away. Sobs. Really?
