HomecomingRose eagerly lurked through her dresser drawers, searching for a more "formal" outfit. Fancy occassions definitely weren't her ideal setting, but tonight was important. Her girlfriend invited her to go to the Homecoming dance at thier school; Rose suggested maybe they just skip it and do something else, but for whatever reason Kai was anxious about going so she couldn't turn down her sweetheart. Rose grabbed the cleanest shirt she had out of the bottom drawer and pulled some gray skinny jeans off a hanger. They were planning to go with her girlfriend's sister; Rain, and then some other friends. But they decided to go seperately because of car space. Rose went over to her dresser and watched herself in a mirror while she fixed her hair quickly and put on a tie. Soon enough she hears a ring at the door.Homecoming3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

I still remember the day I got my first ever Pokémon game. I was around 8-10 years old at the time.
My mum and dad had just came back from a shopping trip and I was in my room busying myself with my only Pokémon related game at the time: Pokémon Stadium. I mashed the buttons on the control wildly as the oncoming attack from the opponent Dragonair sent my Jolteon's health quickly down to zero, I was just about to send out the next Pokémon in my teams line-up when my mum called me from downstairs. The console's remote fell to the floor with a loud clunk (something I would regret in later life as I now only have one working remote) as I raced out my bedroom door, I knew what was coming, something I'd been waiting for, for a long time.
My mum was in our sitting room. She held a plain plastic bag in her hands and had a welcoming smile on her face. "I got you something while I was in town. Come see." She chimed as she handed me the bag. By this point, my heart was poundin

I don’t like you. I’ve never liked you. Unfortunately, I need you. I need you to tell my story. I need you to create my world. I need you to set me free.
I need your fingers typing on those keys, I need your mind riddling out the problems, and I need you to plough onward and upward no matter how hard it gets. Sweat, blood, and tears, I don’t care. You’ve got to fight this war, battle at a time, and win it. So I can be more.
It’s a slim hope, but it is the only one I have. In your head I am bound to mortality, frailty, and the limit of your meagre imagination. Out there – out there – I am subject to no one person. Out there I am bound to only black on white. Words on a page. Words that can lay seeds within a million minds. Out there I am a story capable of growing, moving, and stealing the dreams of anyone who learns of me…

"Your real parents, if you come with us we'll explain everything you need or want

Shadow was waiting impatiently in the bedroom, so he decided to see what was going

Who were they?
He decided to wait behind on of the stone pillars just to see what all this was.
The woman put her hand out, for silver to take it.
"Please silver..." she pleaded.
"When you said come with you, where did u mean exactly?"

That was the first thing he said when she met him. Back then, Chell had just woken from suspension in a place called Aperture Science and he needed help getting out. His name was Wheatley. He traveled around the facility using a ceiling rail. But that could only take him so far. Now and again Chell had to carry him around. He wasn't smart. He got both of them into heaps of trouble and almost killed several times. In an attempt to find an escape pod, Wheatley ended awakening the insane computer who controlled all of Aperture Science, GLaDOS. He's pretty much next to useless. But his intentions were good. He was funny in his own little way. The reasons for his mistakes was because he was programed that way. He was the greatest friend Chell could ask for.

I shoot a glare at the potato attached to my portal device. Yeah, I know I've been sitting here in this corner for at least fifteen minutes, but I'm just not ready to face him yet. All I have left to do is run down the hallway and get into the funnel thing. Then I have to face the fact that Wheatley has turned against me. Is it really possible that only a few days ago I was helping him wire himself into that awful mainframe machine? It feels like it's been months.

The repetitive lullaby of violent rain beating down against the exterior of the bus stops bench causes my eyelids to lazily glaze over, once I finally managed to relax in my own skin for once. Very few raindrops stray out of alignment due to the icy wind and ends up landing unexpectedly upon my face, making sleep difficult to achieve despite how long I've been waiting here past sunset for absolutely nothing.
"Uhare you a hobo or something ?" a flustered, yet feminine voice inquired in disgust.
My eyes lazily flutter open, idly locking on a young high school girl apparently glaring back at me, standing only a few feet away in the pouring rain.
"Well, are you going to answer me?" she began to raise her voice whilst her patience grew thin, a drawn out sigh escaped from my lips, appearing to be at her displeasure.
"I'm simply waiting for the bus; this is a bus stop after all, is it not?" I muttered questionably, scanning her thin, trembling figure, everyth
Jesus death was not a sacrificeJesus death was not a sacrifice.Jesus death was not a sacrifice3 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
That's what some people say nowadays to invalidate Jesus death.
God is a God of order. He reigns with righteousness (Psalm 5:8, Isaiah 33:5) and He has a law (John 14:15, Psalm 119:33-35).
When a human law is broken there is a "payment" to make, either by going to jail, doing community service etc. When God's law is broken there's also a "payment" to make. It is the just thing to do.
'...sin is the transgression of the law' (1 John 3:4) and 'the wages of sin is death' (Romans 6:23). When Adam and Eve broke God's Holy Law (Romans 7:12), they sinned, condemning themselves and their generations to die.
Couldn't God make it so they wouldn't have to die? Why are the wages of sin death?
The problem here is not God. The problem is sin. When they sinned they stopped being perfect1 and imperfect people can't have perfect babies, that's why we all have (inherit2) sinful natures.
Perfect + sinless = ete
