Shakespeare (The Tempest)
The gallows pole. A snakelike rope bound on it, quite stretched. The victim hanging by the neck wasn't present in the picture yet, still to be drawn. Spike sketched the scene he had stirring in his mind for some days now, a living picture from a half-remembered dream.
The work in the arts class that morning was about drawing a picture with the theme of free will. Normally Spike would avoid sharing the content of his thoughts with a teacher, but he couldn't get rid of that image and was urging to put it on a paper, it didn't matter if somebody else would see it. The teacher would probably tear the picture apart, but fuck it; after all it wouldn't be the first time he presented morbid pieces of art. "No artist is morbid", he remembered Sam saying to him in some occasion, "an artist can express everything. Oscar Wilde said that." Though Spike didn't consider himself an artist,

That word was all that flowed through my mind. All around me the Rocket grunts worked, completely oblivious to everything around them. Imbeciles. Some were loading waste material into trucks to be disposed of, whilst others were carrying large vials of a clear, luminous liquid - the precious dew we came to collect.
I heard a struggling sound from behind me, and turned just enough to see a small blue creature wrapping its long ribbon-like antennae around a Rocket grunt's neck. The grunt was gasping, grabbing at the creature that wailed for help. I rolled my eyes before turning away. See what I mean? Those grunts are useless. The gasping soon stopped, and as the small creature ran past me I shot my foot out. My toes met resistance. There was a loud whine of pain and a thump as it landed a few feet away. Sobs. Really? The pathetic thing was crying. I tsked as I walked over towards it. Such an insignificant Pokemon, able to create such a money grabbing substance...
The Difference Between ThemWheatley sat on the small bed that belonged to his human companion. Pointed directly to look at nothing but the one thing he couldn't help but hate. He would admit that such a feeling was irrational even for someone like him, but he couldn't help the feeling of disgust that leaked into his circuits just from the site of the thing. The cube seemed to stare back, mockingly at him, though it didn't have any optic sensors like him.The Difference Between Them3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It just sat there, scorched and remarkably dirty. It was quiet, never speaking and never gave any acknowledgement to him when he spoke to it. Faintly, he considered the fact that it was just a block. Those thoughts were pushed out of mind when she was there though. She would smile at the cube and pat it. Occasionally she would use it as a seat when she was reading, or as a table when she was eating. The sheer fondness for the block was enough convincing for Wheatley that it must have been sentient like him or else Chell wouldn't like it so much.

Scared, tired, cold, wet, and alone. I shiver in the dark, after looking for my lost mother I found a nearby cave and ran inside to get out of the wet rain, it started up out of nowhere too.
I shiver as I try to warm up my hands by slowly breathing into them and rubbing them against each other. I am only a 8 year old girl, I don't know much about the world, I don't know much about anything. I was scared and alone, in this unknown cave far out into the region in the middle of the night surrounded by strange noises and dangerous pokemon.
After listening for over an hour now the fear started to take over me and I started to cry and panic, I try to crawl further into the cave but to no avail, I hid my eyes into my scabbed knees from falling over earlier and cried for a long while. Thats until I heard a small noise, I can't explain the noise I heard, it sounded disorented and yet...playful? Curious? Sad...maybe?
I swallowed down my fear and slowly looked up, at first

After Marsliee got done asking me a billion questions, I walked back up to my room. I wonder where Shadow is. I ran into Amy on the way to my room. “Hi, Sonic!” she said, smiling. “Hey. What's up?” I asked. She yawned. “Bout to go to bed. I'm tired.” I looked up at the clock. It was 9:30. “Okay, Well, Goodnight.” She said Goodnight and I walked off. I looked into Shadow's room. He was sitting there, looking at a picture of his parents. I quietly shut the door. I walked downstairs and outside. I went to the cliff out behind the house. I stood a couple inches from the edge, looking down the steep abyss. The cool wind blew through my quills. It felt good. I looked out into the horizon and thought. I wonder why I feel so weird around Shadow. I feel crazy inside around him. Like.. Like I-

Yugi looked down upon the ground checking out all the sites. He had seen many places before in his world but this was a completely new experience. Then something came to his mind. "Hey Princess, can I ask you something?"
Celestia turned her eyes towards him. "What is it?"
"Well, there's been something that has been bugging me for a while now. Back when we were with Twilight, you mentioned that you 'banished' your sister. What exactly was that about?"
Celestia sighed. "Its a long story. See, I control the sun and she controls the moon."
"I figured as much..."
"Back then, nopony was ever awake during the night. They always slept threw it and played during the day."

Shadow was one of them. He was walking on down the creative Arts halls and as he was nearing the exit he walked past the end classroom but at the corner of his eye he saw something. He took a few steps back and saw the door was open. This classroom was rarely ever used, mainly just to store the art supplies, but as he looked in there he saw someone. Paintbrush in hand, sleeves rolled up, jumper and blazer on desk out of risk of paint splatter and of course the occupied but determined expression. Silver.
Silver was painting a spectacular portrait of someone he recently knew. He was using acrylic and a bit of oil paints here and there. Silver was very much more talented at painting than his sketching as he felt painting was more free and there was a wider range of styles.
He was so soaked up and absorbed into his work he didn't even n

After a good, three-hour, non-stop run, we finally arrived in the jungle; as far away as possible from Eggman.
We reached a decently sized green mass floating on the water, and we finally rested there. Well, I should say that I finally rested; he's been sleeping in my arms this whole time. He was so quiet; it almost felt as if I was running by myself. That is if I didn't have the extra weight of a person to carry.
I set him down gently in the deep green grass. Just as I was about to finally sit down, the slate coloured hedgehog slowly opened his eyelids halfway, then looked up at me. I decided to stay standing up. He placed his hands on the ground and slowly struggled to sit up, his arms shaking as he attempted to push himself off of the ground. I quickly knelt down to him and gently grabbed his shoulders to give him some support.
"Hey, take it easy, you're weak."
He tried to shake me off. "I am not weak; I can kick your butt any day…" He still seemed out of it.

I still remember the day I got my first ever Pokémon game. I was around 8-10 years old at the time.
My mum and dad had just came back from a shopping trip and I was in my room busying myself with my only Pokémon related game at the time: Pokémon Stadium. I mashed the buttons on the control wildly as the oncoming attack from the opponent Dragonair sent my Jolteon's health quickly down to zero, I was just about to send out the next Pokémon in my teams line-up when my mum called me from downstairs. The console's remote fell to the floor with a loud clunk (something I would regret in later life as I now only have one working remote) as I raced out my bedroom door, I knew what was coming, something I'd been waiting for, for a long time.
My mum was in our sitting room. She held a plain plastic bag in her hands and had a welcoming smile on her face. "I got you something while I was in town. Come see." She chimed as she handed me the bag. By this point, my heart was poundin
