AND THAT'S IT!  ALL THE SPOTS FOR THIS PROJECT HAVE BEEN FILLED!  I can't wait to see everyone's awesome pictures!  If there are still some people who would like to be a part of this look at suggestion's #'s 1 and 2 below!  If there are enough of you I'll open one of those!

IN OUR BEDROOM AFTER THE WAR BY STARS!  :airborne::party::airborne::party::airborne::party:

Alright now that the voting is over it's time to officially sign up for the project!

So this is how it's going to work.

Below I've listed all the lyrics in "In Our Bedroom After The War" and brocken them up into neat sections.  Each section has a number that will correspond with the section.

To sign up, you just write in the comments section below:

"Hello I am (insert DA username here) and I would like to do section (insert section # here)"

So an example of this would be:

"Hello I am CuddleFish124 and I would like to do section #5."

This way I'll be able to keep a clean list of who has signed up to draw what line, so we don't have a bunch of repeats.  Note: It's first come first serve!  If 2 people end up wanting to do section #4 the first person to ask will get it.  I'll notify you if your first pick has already been chosen by someone else.  My advice would be to maybe pick a second choice in advance just to be safe.  I'll be constantly updating the list whenever I have the time, crossing out the lines that have been chosen like this to let everyone know which lines are still available.

FOR RIGHT NOW YOU CAN ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE SECTION! The reason for this is so everyone who wants to participate can have a part to illustrate.  The lines with / in the middle of them mean I'm willing to spit those into 2 separate lines if there aren't enough sections to go around.

A quick note on that there are 22 lines to sign up for, but when I first introduced this idea there were like 50 of you who were interested.  But the there were only 23 people (excluding me) who voted overall in the last poll so I don't know if some people just lost interest or never came around to vote.  If it turns out those 50 people still want to do a part I offer 1 of 2 suggestions.

Suggestion #1: I'll make a second group that will illustrate the second most popular song in the second poll which is Mad World vy Gary Jules…

Suggestion #2:  There are a lot of gaps in the song that are just dedicated to music, so if you want you can sign up to draw something for those transition periods.  This might be tricky because some people might just want to do a single picture while other might want to draw aout a mini scene.  This is fine but for the people who just want to draw a single picture I'd try and find other who want to do the same as you and together you can choose which song gap to draw for and maybe come up with an idea or scene that you can all illustrate.  I can help you coordinate this if you want just send me a note telling me your situation and I'll try and hook you up with some other people with similar interests.

A note about the chorus:  I know the chorus is repeated 3 times, but to give everyone enough choices I'm going to let people choose the chorus lines 3 times.  HOWEVER, I'll only let this happen once all the lines in the chorus have been chosen at least once.  So 4 people will have to sign up to draw the first chorus before I'll allow sign ups to illustrate the second chorus.  That's why the numbers for the chorus are in (parenthesis).  We don't want to end up with chorus 1 being completely illustrated, chorus 2 being only partly illustrated, and chorus 3 not being illustrated at all.  The reason for this is the lovely Sheltus is going to be making a video for our song once it's done and this would make things a lot easier for her.  It's either going to one chorus throughout the song, or 3.

Specking of Sheltus once you are done with your submission please notify me and Sheltus via note  Just send us a note with a link to your picture and a reminder of who you are and what lines you did.

Edit #5: PhoenixPhlox brought up a very important point about making a video I should ask you guys for permission first.  As of now no video will be made.  Once the group project is over I'll bring this matter up again.  But for now ignore the stuff about a video being made*

To keep things simple all submissions for the group project will go in the "Group Project" folder  That way all of you can see what everyone else is doing and maybe draw some inspiration from each other.  If you want to hook up with the person who chose the lines that come before or after yours that's fine.

RULES (actually more like guidelines)

*Your picture most mainly feature the boys in Homestuck.  You can have girls in the background but please have the main focus be on the guys.

*Sorry but no cosplay or 3D submission for this project.  I know there are a bunch of enthusiastic cosplayers out there but for right now just keep it to drawings.  Maybe one day I'll do this project again only for cosplayers!

Now there technically is no deadline for this, but remember this is a group project and can only work if everyone does their part.  I'll understand if it takes a while to get around to drawing, but please don't ignore this on purpose.  if you have time to work on your picture, work on it!  I know life can get complicated, and with finals coming up in december a lot of you will be studying.  Just please don't bail out on this at the last second.  if you really can't do this project send me a note saying so and I'll cross your name off the list and try and find a replacement.  But if you have to bail don't just ignore this for 6 months and then come up to me and say "oh yeah turns out I can't do this so sorry."  Let me know as soon as you know you can't do the project so I can find a replacement as quickly as possible.

Ok so I think that's everything, but I might be forgetting a few things so keep an eye out for updates to this journal.

*EDIT #1*  Please title all submissions "HSB Group Project Section #(insert section # here)".  An example would be "HSB Group Project Section #4".  This way everyone know which lines/pages have been done.  And say if the person who has section #5 doesn't know what to do for their part they can look up sections #4 and 6 to see what comes before and after their line and maybe get some inspiration.

*EDIT #2*  Dimensions of your submission should be 9 inches by 12 inches (that's 22.86cm by 30.48 if you are in the EU)  NOT 9" BY 12"!  If someone draw a picture landscape style and another person drew a picture portrait style we could have a bit of a problem when trying to string them all together.  Go landscape style when drawing please

*EDIT #3* The lyrics of the song MUST BE IN THE PICTURE!  You can write them anywhere you want, but they have to be big enough that people can read them.  Don't push them off to the side in really small font or handwriting.

*EDIT #4* Reread Edit #2 there has been some clarification.*

Also a note for the people who were in the Genderbend Contest:  OMG I AM SO SORRY I'M TRYING TO GET THE VOTING DONE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!  3 of the admins have already voted but there are 9 of us and we all are really busy so please just bear with us I promise I'll post who won what as soon as we know!  I'll try to get the list up by November 1st!

So, ONWARDS TO THE SIGN UPS!  (also a link to the song if you haven't heard it yet:…

1.  Wake up! Say good morning to that sleepy person lying next to you
2.  If there's no one there, then there's no one there, but at least the war is over
3.  It's us - yes, we're back again, here to see you through, 'til the days end
4.  And if the night comes, and the night will come, well at least the war is over

5.  Lift your head and look out the window/ Stay that way for the rest of the day and watch the time go
6.  Listen! The birds sing! Listen! The bells ring!
7.  All the living are dead, and the dead are all living/ The war is over and we are beginning...

8.  Gridlock on the parkway now, the television man is here to show you how
9.  The channel fades to snow, it's off to work you go, but at least the war is over

10.  She's gone, she left before you woke, as you ate last night, neither of you spoke
11.  Dishes, tv, bed the darkness filled with dread, but at least the war is over

(12). Lift your head and look out the window/ Stay that way for the rest of the day and watch the time go
(13)Listen! The birds sing! Listen! The bells ring!
(14)All the living are dead, and the dead are all living/ The war is over and we are beginning...

15.  We won, or we think we did, when you went away, you were just a kid
16.  And if you lost it all, and you lost it, we will still be there when the war is over

(17)Lift your head and look out the window/  Stay that way for the rest of the day and watch the time go
(18)Listen! The birds sing! Listen! The bells ring!
(19)All the living are dead, and the dead are all living/  The war is over and we are beginning...

20.  Here it comes! Here comes the first day! Here it comes! Here comes the first day!
21.  It starts up in our bedroom after the war
22.  After the war! After the war...

Have fun~!

Personal thoughts I want to share.

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 10, 2013, 4:25 AM

On 10th September, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and metastasis on other organs. She left us on 9th March, after months of fighting and enduring.

A week before my mom was diagnosed cancer, a friend of my parents died for this very same reason. When I heard about that, I thought "how lucky  am, both of my parents are here with me...", and the reason I'm writing this post is that.

If your parents (or partners, or family in general) are okay, take some seconds to think about that and enjoy the feeling. One day they might not be here, but right now they are, so love them and show them you do. When something in my body hurts, I always think "damn it, how nice it was when nothing hurt and I didn't even stop to think about it because I was used to it being that way", so if you are okay, if your family is ok, give that thought some time.

Love your parents, because if you're here now it's because they spent sleepless night as you cried as a baby, they fed you and loved you like nobody in this world is ever going to love you. Even if they scold you or they have habits that get on your nerves or whatever, they love you. I know this is not true for 100% of the cases, but I know it is for most of them.

Last but not least, if you or your family ever smokes, get tested at least once a year. Lung cancer is dangerous, among other things, because it gives you no signal it's there until it's going to kill you or it spread to other parts of your body, like it happened to my mom. By the time we discovered it, the cancer was too big to get removed, and the doctor said it was probably there growing for 5 years or more.

I know it's tedious to go to the doctor when you're feeling alright, but believe me, my mom was feeling alright too. She went running in the morning and was a sports woman in general eating healthily and all... and she stopped smoking around 13 years ago, still this happened.

Take care of yourself and your family while you can, and be happy with them.

Goodbye mom, I love you.
