Original: "Playground Philosophy"

Okay, so I finally caved and did this thing. XD

I picked this original image because I really wanted to improve on the concept: two characters having a conversation at a kid's playground. The original's just sort of mindless: characters staring (or glaring) off into the distance, mouths open like they're talking. I wanted to take that idea and improve the story, while still keeping conversation open to interpretation. Now there's actual interaction between the characters, a deliberate mood, and more information in the image. :3

Obviously I also made other changes. Drake's design's changed dramatically, and I replaced Paul with Justin because Paul and Drake don't really talk to one another. Went with an autumn scene to go with the mood (plus I'm excited for fall). My old pic was waaay color-crazy. Oh, and background, I think I'm better at those now. XDD

Kiinda' bothers me that my shading technique hasn't changed much in seven years. >.> I think I know what I'm going to start working on now...

This shirt was heavly inspired by my latest picture which i did while being in a very bad psychological state...

Decided to take on a more abstract concept for Lara Croft's character reborn within the head of a Buddha and enlightened, after going through many dangerous trials and ordeals to be the survivor she is destined to become. Heavily influenced by Sachin Teng's approach in illustration.

My final entry for this contest. I had a great time.

My entry for the DA t-shirt design contest. The design was inspired by a quote from Albert Einstein, in which he declares "imagination encircles the world."

Leave it to Einstein to place imagination above intellect!

I tried to go for something simple, with mass appeal, that would be easy/cheap to apply to a t-shirt. This concept also translates well to most t-shirt colors (black, white, red, navy, etc.).

This is my first contest entry of any kind - feedback is appreciated!
