'IB' - Chapter Five
As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. He was quite jumpy now though, so when a small leaf flew by him he jumped backwards a step and let out a high pitched scream. He began to breathe rapidly until realizing it was just a leaf before taking a deep breath and staring forward again, his eyes continuing to scan his environm

Dib’s hurried pace soon slowed to a steady walk as he got closer to Zim’s base. He delayed getting there as he was both afraid and nervous of what he may find here. He actually started to second guess if this was the best thing to do, but he arrived before he knew it. Once it were visible across the road from him, Dib stopped and stared at it for a short time. He drew in a deep breath, whispering unsure words of encouragement before starting closer towards it.
Zim's base looked pretty similar on the outside, except for where his gnomes keeping his house protected had been destroyed. Though, it did seem to have an eerie aura around it which was something that hadn’t been present in the past.
Dib had made it to the front door now, staring upon it as if there were something fairly interesting about it. In reality, he was just preparing himself for what he was sure would be a quite shocking sight. Finally, he pushed the door open and flicked on the lights wi

Dib bit down firmly on his lip before shakily stepping forward and pulling him slowly up the creaky stairs. Since it was dark, he squinted his eyes in an attempt to see a bit clearer in the small amount of light that he had. As he slowly made his way up the stairs, whispering the Irken’s name in an attempt to draw him out from his hiding place. In a situation such as this, Dib preferred to know where Zim was rather than him be out of sight with the possibility of a surprise attack.
After a minute of crawling painfully slow up the stairs, he finally made it to the top with the sight of the illuminated room at the end of the hallway; the same room his sister’s decomposing body lay on the metal table. That light was still on, but there weren’t any sounds. Either the Irken was being especially quiet, or he wasn't there at all.
Dib’s feet were planted deeply where he stood, hesitating to go any closer to the room. Memories and dreadful images of what l

So here it is! I am finally working on this for those of you who've been so patient. I am working on making this flow a bit better so please excuse its immense length since I have been adding a lot. I hope you guys enjoy chapter one and the rest of the story once I can get around to posting it! I am writing Dib's parts and Invader-Neo is writing Zim's. I haven't edited much of hers because she writes like a boss!
Everyone in the skool building knew it was a scientific law that when there was Zim, there was always oddities and inevitably, screaming. These screams were usually on resulting in either anger and denial at anything that could have been brought to his attention that he felt were threatening to his position and mission, or from absolutely anything that came out of his arch enemy's, Dib's, mouth. And both these oddities and screams were the very things that defined what Zim was to these humans as much as his PAK defined him as an Irken. He had

When Zim came to it was completely dark. He could vaguely remember waking up a few other times but had quickly been drugged again before he could get his bearings. Now he had absolutely no idea where he was.
Slowly his eyes began to adjust to the dark and he could only just make out the wooden crate he was trapped inside. Trapped! He was trapped and couldn't get out! His heart began to pound as panic rose up inside of him, forcing away all sense and reason. He scrabbled; twisting around in the tiny space as he desperately looked for any way out. He was an Invader, and Invaders could not be contained!
All of a sudden the crate bumped joltingly and light flooded in from a sliding opening. Zim didn't think twice before he shot out of the crate like a bullet, blinded by the sudden bright light he ran until he careened head first against a tree, abruptly stopping his panicked flight.
He blinked dizzily and looked up stupidly at the tree he had smashed into at top speed. T

He stood there in front of me, nothing but crazed, lonely, desperation in his eyes. Once vibrant green skin had paled more than I thought possible. Now he just looked plain sickly. Bright ruby eyes had faded and lost all of their wide-eyed wonder and spark. Antennas were drooped so low, they grazed his shoulders when he made the slightest movement.
Zim had no doubt walked all the way here out of his disguise. But no one turned their head at the "crazy foreign kid disguised as an alien". How backwards they had it . And they would never know.
I didn't know for sure why Zim was here. But I did know why he looked so wrong. Like an abandoned puppy that had been kicked out of a moving vehicle. This time he hadn't been able to hit the ground running.
Two weeks ago I had watched his Tallest, his species' leaders, tell him he was a 'defect'. An outcast, a waste of space, an idiot, an annoyance. Not an Irken. As I watched throu

"I wanted out of the house. and, it's not that bad. I'm just happy we can be alone together." Dib said, blushing a bit, noticing how gay that sounded. He shrugged a bit, as he smiled at Zim weakly. Zim rolled his eyes, putting his hands in his pockets of his red sweatshirt that Dib gave him for Christmas because he hated seeing him freeze to death and him always stealing his trench coat. Just for Zim, he painted the irken symbol on it and "I AM ZIM" below it, this just made Zim so amazingly happy, he lunged at Dib and told him he was going to kiss him to death for it. Dib knew he was joking completely though.
"We were alone in your room...Why did we have to come to this park of FILTH?!" Zim shouted, crossing his arms.
Dib rolled his eyes, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and pulling him close into a hug. "Come on space boy! It's not all that bad. Trust me." Dib let go

You had arrived at the park more than ten minutes ago and Dib had still not shown up. Was that e-mail just a hacker?
“Psst! (y/n)!” you hear someone whisper. You turn around to see Dib behind a large tree, waving you over. You quickly speed walk over to him.
“Dib!” you say. “How in the name of heck did you get my e-mail address?” Dib shrugged.
“I have my ways.” That made you feel uncomfortable. “Anyway, I need to warn you about something!” You had warnings left, right and centre! Who could you trust?
“What?” You ask, impatient to get home. Dib fiddled his fingers.
“You’re not going to believe this, but...Zim is an alien.” You raise an eyebrow. Wasn’t it clearly obvious?
“I know?” you reply. Dib looked shocked. “You’re not going to tease me for being an overly-obsessed freak?”
“No.” You say, simply. Dib stood there, staring at you.

The next day, you walked to ‘Skool’ feeling quite happy. Zim was your new best friend, and you actually had a pretty good school...sort of. The morning was pretty boring, since you had a math test. Zim passed all the answers onto you, which was great since he got them all right somehow. The whole day, Dib sat staring at you from across the room with hostility. You started to worry if you had somehow offended him. Impossible! You’ve never even talked to the guy! You decide to shrug it off and keep on studying for your history assignment, with Zim as your partner, of course. At recess, you quietly ate your horrible meal in the cafeteria. Zim didn’t even bother, as he apparently had an ‘allergic reaction’.
“Why, hello there.” You heard someone say from behind you. You turn around to see Dib standing behind you, with his arms crossed.

"Class is over in ten minutes. We'll get him on the way to lunch." Torque chose a ten-pound weight and started lifting that in one hand, watching Dib with distaste.
Dib finished writing, looked over the paper, and nodded, taking out his laptop to start writing the final draft.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the classroom, Zim was leaning back in his seat with his feet propped up on the desk and a notebook on his knees, mostly doodling instead of writing like he was supposed to be. He glanced at the teacher, but she w

The room suddenly felt cold. Zim's body went stiff and he felt a pained, sinking feeling in his chest as he was abruptly cut off from his leaders. He had heard these words before, from a varying range of other Irkens as time had passed and even from The Almighty Tallest themselves on a few occasions. But he never believed a word of it. He thought back to his existence evaluation. The Tallest had pushed his date up a couple of decades. He didn't want to come to the realization that they did that with malicious intent then. His loyalty to his leaders burned strong. The only reason he even lived through his evaluation is because his PAK was too much for the Control Brains to handle. Thinking back, he didn't realize to the full extent what was happening to him or the Brains. Just that the Brains declared him the greatest Invader ever. He hadn't thought then that it was because of his faulty PAK overwhelming them. Zim was unsure of why th

Dib rolled his eyes. Of course Zim would be going off again. This time was no different to the last, except instead of rambling on about the cafeteria food giving him blisters, he was directly addressing the cafeteria drone herself. She ignored him of course, barely casting an eye towards the green 'child' directly in front of her, let alone every other student in the cafeteria for that matter.
How could they not see? Even after a two years of the same nonsense. Dib had at least expected something to change. But no. He was still picked on. Still known as the crazy kid with no friends. The paranormal freak.
Putting his hand to his chin, Dib slowly ate his cafeteria food, trying to blot out the noise of Zim's raspy voice, but it was no good. He could still hear it ringing throughout his head. He almost envied how the other students could block Zim out so easily. He just wouldn't shut up.
The pounding sensation emerging on the right side of his temple didn't help either. The more Zim rant

I was terrified for a moment when I stepped into the tube. Zim could have been easily tricking me to destroy myself, but it’s been so long. Why would he try to kill me now? He tapped some codes into the touch screen thingy. It was all in irken so I had no idea what any of it said. Afterwards, he walked towards the other tube. He looked so worried. With his antenna whimpered to the back of his head, he was the very image of vulnerable. This was crazy. Why did he even want to be able to be human? Maybe it was for a better disguise. I honestly didn’t care much. I wanted to see if it would work. I wondered for a second on why he didn’t just steal a human if that’s all he needed. He hated asking for someone’s help so why not take someone against their will?

Zim couldn't wait to go to this sleepover. Exciting! He had told Gir he was coming, and Gir jumped with glee.
Dib had given a note to Zim listing everything that he needed to bring to the sleepover, after skool.
1. Sleeping bag.
3. Night goggles
6. Silver bullet
7. Small sleeping bag for Gir
Zim had looked up before what a sleeping bag was and he now knew what it is used for. He had called the computer and told it to make two sleeping bags during skool.
Now, at home, he packed what was needed. He put the bullet, goggles, stake, and radio in his PAK. He put the Garlic in a bag and put it in his PAK. Then asked the computer where the sleeping bags were.
The computer dropped the two perfectly made sleeping bags. One was blue like Gir's eyes, with a black Irken symbol on the front and the other, the one for Zim, was red and had the Irken symbol on the front. Zim grabbed the bags and went to the elevator. He went down to his room and hurried and got a pair

Chapter One: Over the Radio
Dib's radio was picking up an odd signal. He turned the knob a little to the left. A little to the right. There was a short whine, and the sound came through clear. "Your turn, Zim," said an odd voice - it was high and low at the same time. "You've been assigned to...Earth. One more thing, Zim. This is NOT a regular conquer mission...it's a-" The signal faded out. Dib's eyes widened. This wasn't what he thought it was, was it? It had to be. Zim seemed to ignore my question, and instead walked passed me, to a book shelf. He picked out a book, and opened it, apparently scanning the contents.
He began to hum lightly as he looked tough the pages. I rolled my eyes, and sat on the floor, that’s when I noticed the pain. I hissed a bit, and looked down at my torso. It was covered in bite marks, and scratches. .
Dib whimpered, “Z-Zim?”
“What do you want? Stupid big-headed-fool-boy-creature. . .” Zim sighed, as he continued with his reading.
“Where did these bites marks come from?” I asked worriedly, hoping Zim would bother answering.
“From me. . .” Zim said frown on his face, yet never looking up from his book.
“How about the scratches?” I asked, surprised.
“Zim did that to.” Zim answered, still never looking up from his book.

Zim did as he said and let out a shriek as the ring buzzed. Electric volts zipped through Zims body, making him feel on fire. His antenna changed and got bigger and hardened; his skin changed into a light beige color, and his legs changed into the zig-zag sticks that Vortians walk upon. He screeched as his eyes shrunk and his whole body went limp and heavy as lead. Dizziness overtook him and he fell over.
