'IB' - Chapter Five
As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. He was quite jumpy now though, so when a small leaf flew by him he jumped backwards a step and let out a high pitched scream. He began to breathe rapidly until realizing it was just a leaf before taking a deep breath and staring forward again, his eyes continuing to scan his environm
In The BeginningThe little Irken smeet threw herself down on the floor, utterly exhausted. All day it was the same thing; march, train, download, until her little mind was just as equally spent as her body.In The Beginning1 year ago in Sci-Fi More Like This
Now at least she could rest until the next day came. Of course, day or night it made no difference, it was always dark. The smeet could remember it being light, but for only a little while before her world was plunged into darkness. A cold and unloving world. A world where no kind word or condolence was spoken. A world where she would have to fend for herself and live without a single comforting touch just like all the others around her. And there were tens of thousands like her, all down within the depths of their planet where they would remain until they were old enough to see the surface and take their place amongst all the other Irkens.
But that was still many years to come. For now the smeets were lead in groups into large padded rooms where they were expected to sleep. They were told by the d
Your Alien Friend - Invader Zim x Reader Chapter 2The next day, you walked to ‘Skool’ feeling quite happy. Zim was your new best friend, and you actually had a pretty good school...sort of. The morning was pretty boring, since you had a math test. Zim passed all the answers onto you, which was great since he got them all right somehow. The whole day, Dib sat staring at you from across the room with hostility. You started to worry if you had somehow offended him. Impossible! You’ve never even talked to the guy! You decide to shrug it off and keep on studying for your history assignment, with Zim as your partner, of course. At recess, you quietly ate your horrible meal in the cafeteria. Zim didn’t even bother, as he apparently had an ‘allergic reaction’.Your Alien Friend - Invader Zim x Reader Chapter 21 year ago in General Fiction More Like This

"It's a human, a very rare find nowadays...which means it's far more than you can afford." The salesman said, shooing the poor alien away with his claw like hands.
This was how it was every day, the human was packed up in his cage and set out like an item to be bought and people who noticed him were always too poor to buy him. The human had used to struggle and scream at the salesman in a strange language that nobody in their right minds knew, but after a couple of beatings he'd been silenced and he now obediantly sat in his cage cross legged, not even bothering to look up from his lap. Most would believe he was dead were it not for the calm rise and fall of his chest and occasional sick cough that escaped him. He was clothed in the skinny jeans he had been found in years ago and they were stained, ripped, and much to small for him.
"Well, how much is he?" A voi

"Hey, you know what we should do?" Torque replied. He stopped lifting weights for a second and put them on his desk. "We should beat him up after class."
"Hmm well, it's been a while since I slammed a nerd's face into a locker," Chunk commented, nodding.
"Class is over in ten minutes. We'll get him on the way to lunch." Torque chose a ten-pound weight and started lifting that in one hand, watching Dib with distaste.
Dib finished writing, looked over the paper, and nodded, taking out his laptop to start writing the final draft.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the classroom, Zim was leaning back in his seat with his feet propped up on the desk and a notebook on his knees, mostly doodling instead of writing like he was supposed to be. He glanced at the teacher, but she w

The room suddenly felt cold. Zim's body went stiff and he felt a pained, sinking feeling in his chest as he was abruptly cut off from his leaders. He had heard these words before, from a varying range of other Irkens as time had passed and even from The Almighty Tallest themselves on a few occasions. But he never believed a word of it. He thought back to his existence evaluation. The Tallest had pushed his date up a couple of decades. He didn't want to come to the realization that they did that with malicious intent then. His loyalty to his leaders burned strong. The only reason he even lived through his evaluation is because his PAK was too much for the Control Brains to handle. Thinking back, he didn't realize to the full extent what was happening to him or the Brains. Just that the Brains declared him the greatest Invader ever. He hadn't thought then that it was because of his faulty PAK overwhelming them. Zim was unsure of why th

Dib rolled his eyes. Of course Zim would be going off again. This time was no different to the last, except instead of rambling on about the cafeteria food giving him blisters, he was directly addressing the cafeteria drone herself. She ignored him of course, barely casting an eye towards the green 'child' directly in front of her, let alone every other student in the cafeteria for that matter.
How could they not see? Even after a two years of the same nonsense. Dib had at least expected something to change. But no. He was still picked on. Still known as the crazy kid with no friends. The paranormal freak.
Putting his hand to his chin, Dib slowly ate his cafeteria food, trying to blot out the noise of Zim's raspy voice, but it was no good. He could still hear it ringing throughout his head. He almost envied how the other students could block Zim out so easily. He just wouldn't shut up.
The pounding sensation emerging on the right side of his temple didn't help either. The more Zim rant
Your Alien Friend - Invader Zim x Reader Chapter 1As you slowly walk to your new school, you feel a pang of depression. New school, new kids, no friends. That’s how it normally went for you. You sigh. Finally, you can see a giant sign above a building that says ‘Skool’. Maybe the people who started the school couldn't spell properly. You push through the front door and make your way to your new class. The teacher, Mrs. Bitters, glared at you as you entered, making you feel slightly uncomfortable. You stood in front of the class, looking at everyone. The guy that caught your eye the most was a kid with green skin and no ears, who looked as if he was plotting an evil scheme as he stared at you. Talk about weird! There was also another kid with glasses that wasn't paying all that much attention to you. I looked around, to find Zim a few feet away, laying on the floor, asleep. I figured his body must’ve blinked out to. . .
I crawled over to him, anger from the previous day completely gone. I examined him, in his dozing state, and what I observed made me sick to my stomach.
Zim’s wrists were badly bruised, most likely because of how recklessly I grabbed them, how tight I held them into place. He was shivering possibly because he had slept on the cold floor all night long. . .
I carefully lifted his head, careful to not wake him, and placed it on my lap. Why had I done that? I’m no better than him, actually compared, mine was worse. . .
I sighed, “Zim? Wake up. . .”
Zim’s eyes opened slowly, then he sat up, pain filled expression on his slender face, “D-Dib?” He seemed to have

I was terrified for a moment when I stepped into the tube. Zim could have been easily tricking me to destroy myself, but it’s been so long. Why would he try to kill me now? He tapped some codes into the touch screen thingy. It was all in irken so I had no idea what any of it said. Afterwards, he walked towards the other tube. He looked so worried. With his antenna whimpered to the back of his head, he was the very image of vulnerable. This was crazy. Why did he even want to be able to be human? Maybe it was for a better disguise. I honestly didn’t care much. I wanted to see if it would work. I wondered for a second on why he didn’t just steal a human if that’s all he needed. He hated asking for someone’s help so why not take someone against their will?
Just as all these question jumbled through my spinning head I glanced over at Zim. He was so pinned up in the tube. His shoulders were tightly pressed near his head in a clinch, almost as

'Can he really be alive?' I thought to myself.
In the matter of seconds, hope pulsed through my veins. But that hope, transformed into doubt. Hope only gets in the way, after all.
I slowly placed a hand on his chest, feeling for a breath, a heartbeat maybe.
His eyes closed again, leading me to think he was gone for good.
I let go to the tears I held back. 'What do I do?' I thought, 'There's always the cliche....'
"Zim... c-can you hear me?" I spat out.
I felt him take a deep breath beneith my hand.
He groaned in pain, his 3-fingered hand rubbing his forehead. Knowing that he's not dead put a smile on my face. Since I'm not used to using those muscles, the smile slightly hurts.
When his eyes reached my face, noticing that I've been expressing an emotion no one thought I posessed, he began to smile as well.
"Well, Gaz-human. I see how I've changed your life now."

Dib and Zim were having a go at each other, yelling empty threats back and forth, Gaz wondered if they ever got board of the same routine every day.
She sighed and leaned against the wall behind her, as her eyes swept across the room she looked at the advanced alien technology that mankind could never dream of accomplishing, wondering what idiot race would trust Zim with it all, even GIR seemed to much a handful to him.
When Gaz finished her little tour she gazed at the back of Zim’s head and listened to the argument going on.
“Stoopid Human! You think that you can come in here and infiltrate Zim’s Top Secret lair!?” Gaz always wondered why he talked in 3rd person, ‘Must be a pride thing of something…’ she thought absentmindedly.
Then she noticed them, the two
Where Did I Go Wrong?Dib walked along the sidewalk. It was about 11:00 at night. Everyday was the same. Why was he out that late? Just thinking It was pretty easy to sneak out, mostly by the fact that no one cared where he was. With his head low, he walked through the echo of street lights. Wind beating on his face, Hands in his black hoodie, he continued to fight the wind and cold. He pulled his hood up, just to have it knocked off again by the wind. He yanked it back up to make it stay. The brisk of his warm breath faded in the night. Where was he going? He didn't know. Where ever it was, it wasn't anywhere he'd get lost. I don't think he'd go as far as out of the city. Or would he? Whatever. Who cared? No one. That's who.Where Did I Go Wrong?4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Chapter 1 The Virus
Scene: the skool classroom
Dib is bored out of his mind. He's tapping his fingers on his desk, staring into space, drooling a little. It is late afternoon and the day has been dragging.
He looks outside. The sun is dipping lower in the sky but the day still hasn't ended.
Ms Bitters is ranting and raving about, what else, DOOM. Her favourite subject. Dib keeps tuning in and out of it, but it's going something like this:
We are all DOOMed, each in our own individual DOOMed ways. A lot of us - most of you DOOMed children, I DARE say - will be destroyed by the monsters of DOOM that this filthy world creates to prey on innocence. More intellectual types may be destroyed by the monsters of DOOM that exist within their minds. Either way, monsters of DOOM will come for you, each and every one...
That's enough of that. Dib sighs audibly. A spitball hits him in the back of the head and he grimaces. How much longer can he survive? So, as a means of entertainm

Zim seemed to ignore my question, and instead walked passed me, to a book shelf. He picked out a book, and opened it, apparently scanning the contents.
He began to hum lightly as he looked tough the pages. I rolled my eyes, and sat on the floor, that’s when I noticed the pain. I hissed a bit, and looked down at my torso. It was covered in bite marks, and scratches. .
Dib whimpered, “Z-Zim?”
“What do you want? Stupid big-headed-fool-boy-creature. . .” Zim sighed, as he continued with his reading.
“Where did these bites marks come from?” I asked worriedly, hoping Zim would bother answering.
“From me. . .” Zim said frown on his face, yet never looking up from his book.
“How about the scratches?” I asked, surprised.
“Zim did that to.” Zim answered, still never looking up from his book.

"What's wrong, Gaz?" Zim asked me sweetly.
"I-I can't...." I began to protest my own heart. I moronically admitted to him that I love him... but I don't? That's the confusing part.
"I know, I know. You can't love me because you're not supposed to feel that kind of emotion. You always have to be the tough human." Zim hissed slightly.
"I didn't have to be this way! I chose to be. Dib's the sensitive one!" I yelled at him. But the thing is, Zim will never understand. Dib and I watched our dad walk passed us millions of time without even acknowledging us. He rarely calls us by our names. Sometimes he forgets. And even though I'm younger than Dib, I showed him that it's okay not to care about anyone.

I assume it's around 2 in the morning.
It's still fairly warm, and the sky looks about ready to burst with rain.
The dark grey of the gloomy clouds match my mood perfectly. Hopefully, I won't feel like shit in the morning.
I had to be back home around 6am, before Dib notices that I left.
I walk with long, strong strides. Nothing can hold me back.
Buildings go by, the streets are empty, no one's in my way.
I arrive at Zim's small green house around 4am. My heart beats rapidly with the thought of being near him...
What the hell is wrong with me?!?!
I step closer to his front door with a slow pace. Thinking to myself, 'Why are you doing this, Gaz? There's no point. What's he going to do, anyway? Yell at you for the rest of my short life, and annihilate the Earth? That's not so bad.'
Confused, I just stand there. On his front step. Wow, I'm smart. (Sarcastically speaking, of course)

When I reached the corner of a weird street, something started to buzz in my pocket.
It just happened to be my cell phone, informing me of Dib's current location. Thank you, tracking device.
ZaDr - ZaDf Stormy DayZim sighed and looked at the clock. 3:00... The bell would be ringing in ten minutes. Ms. Bitters continued her lesson of Doom but a loud clap of thunder stopped her short. Everyone, except the heartless teacher, jumped at the sound and the sudden light that flashed across the sky right after. Zim groaned in his head. He had woken up to late for him to apply his daily amount of water repellent. Dib took his gaze off of the brewing storm to look at the alien on the other side of the room.
