'IB' - Chapter Five
As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. He was quite jumpy now though, so when a small leaf flew by him he jumped backwards a step and let out a high pitched scream. He began to breathe rapidly until realizing it was just a leaf before taking a deep breath and staring forward again, his eyes continuing to scan his environm

"It's a human, a very rare find nowadays...which means it's far more than you can afford." The salesman said, shooing the poor alien away with his claw like hands.
This was how it was every day, the human was packed up in his cage and set out like an item to be bought and people who noticed him were always too poor to buy him. The human had used to struggle and scream at the salesman in a strange language that nobody in their right minds knew, but after a couple of beatings he'd been silenced and he now obediantly sat in his cage cross legged, not even bothering to look up from his lap. Most would believe he was dead were it not for the calm rise and fall of his chest and occasional sick cough that escaped him. He was clothed in the skinny jeans he had been found in years ago and they were stained, ripped, and much to small for him.
"Well, how much is he?" A voi
Where Did I Go Wrong?Dib walked along the sidewalk. It was about 11:00 at night. Everyday was the same. Why was he out that late? Just thinking It was pretty easy to sneak out, mostly by the fact that no one cared where he was. With his head low, he walked through the echo of street lights. Wind beating on his face, Hands in his black hoodie, he continued to fight the wind and cold. He pulled his hood up, just to have it knocked off again by the wind. He yanked it back up to make it stay. The brisk of his warm breath faded in the night. Where was he going? He didn't know. Where ever it was, it wasn't anywhere he'd get lost. He wouldn't go as far as out of the city. Or would he? Whatever. Who cared? No one. That's who.Where Did I Go Wrong?4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Alley, after alley, he just kept going. Each alley had the same look, trashcan here, graffiti there. Nothing special. Dib sighed and tightened his hoodie on him. It had to be like only 30degrees outside. Dib closed his eyes, thinking whether he should head home or not. He lif

Chapter 2: The New Kid
It was an average, boring day in school. Ms. Bitters lectured, yelled at people, along with all the other usual things. It was average as average got...that is, until the principal came in. He and Ms. Bitters spoke in hushed tones, until she nodded and he left the room. Ms. Bitters spoke up in her loud, screechy voice, "Class, we have a new student joining us. Please be welcoming, as he might not be as bad as you kids turned out. Now come on in, whatever your name is." The door cracked open, and the new kid stepped in. Everyone's mouths dropped open. The new kid was AWESOME, and he hadn't even spoken a single word yet. He was very pale with black hair and blue-gray eyes, and he wore a nicely fitting long-sleeved shirt with an odd symbol on it - it

Chapter 5: An Infiltration Of Sorts
Zim and Dib stepped out of the Pokemon Center. Walking down the street were two women, in Team Plasma uniforms, strolling down the street.
"Hey, it's those creepy guys," whispered Dib. "What was that they were saying? Something about Pokemon rights?"
"Come on, let's follow them and see what they're up to."
Zim and Dib stalked down the road, hiding behind a small row of hedges as the two women passed.
"-New plan is very good, the boss was telling me the details earlier-"
Zim and Dib couldn't hear them anymore, as they were out of earshot and the row of hedges ended here.
"Looks like they're going in that building," said Dib.
Zim whipped out a pair of binoculars, focusing on the building they were going into.
"Looks like some kind of club, but it says 'Women Only' on the front door," informed Zim.
"Gee, if only one of us could change into seamless disguises at will to become a perfectly convincing
I Hate You-ZaDr Chapter 2Dib was laying on the mattress of a magenta sheeted bed, clad in his familiar trench coat, neutral smiley face T-shirt, and of course new clean skinny jeans. Cleanliness was a luxury he'd gone without for years and finally being able to enjoy it was amazing.I Hate You-ZaDr Chapter 25 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The mattress felt as soft as a cloud to him...almost like one of those memory foam beds on earth, and the room was pleasantly warm. During his study of irken culture, he'd found that irkens were extremely similar to cold blooded creatures in the sense that they couldn't control their body temperature. Because of this important armada ships had a heater built into them. For invaders however they had a certain program installed into their PAK which kind of worked in the same way that humans regulated their body temperature.
The human rolled over onto his side, nuzzling his face into one of the oversized pillows. The room d
Dying Tonight-ZaDr Part 2 Dib wasn't worried when the little green alien didn't show up for school the next day or the day after that or the day after that. He just thought the insane alien was working on his latest plan to conquer earth. Of course he wasn't worried at all, that was a feeling he reserved for people he cared about. But then why did he have a feeling something bad had happened?Dying Tonight-ZaDr Part 25 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The mysterious phone call he'd received late that Tuesday wasn't helping with his suspicions. The irken had sounded broken when he'd hung up, almost on the verge of crying; but Irkens didn't cry. He'd never even seen the irken sad or close to being unoptimistic.
Dib gave out a loud sigh, which amazingly went unnoticed by the teacher, and stared at the clock. Ten more minutes and he'd go to Zim's house. He'd vowed to himself that he'd check on Zim today. Not that he was worried
Dying Tonight-ZaDr part 3The human was banging loudly on the door to Zim's house, each knock resounding in an almost eery way into the empty base...not even answered by the insane robot who had surely been deactivated the second the irken had died. "ZIM I KNOW YOU'RE HOME, ANSWER THE FUCKING DOOR!" He screamed, trying and once again failing to kick the electronically locked barrier. "DAMNIT!" He yelled furiously as he plopped down on the front step. Why wouldn't the alien answer his door? Usually he at least had Gir try and keep him busy. The teen stood up and began circling the house as he looked for at least a window or something that wouldn't be noticed if broken..but it wasn't like anybody would notice if it was the front windows anyway, people on this planet were just plain stupid. Zim seemed to ignore my question, and instead walked passed me, to a book shelf. He picked out a book, and opened it, apparently scanning the contents.
He began to hum lightly as he looked tough the pages. I rolled my eyes, and sat on the floor, that’s when I noticed the pain. I hissed a bit, and looked down at my torso. It was covered in bite marks, and scratches. .
Dib whimpered, “Z-Zim?”
“What do you want? Stupid big-headed-fool-boy-creature. . .” Zim sighed, as he continued with his reading.
“Where did these bites marks come from?” I asked worriedly, hoping Zim would bother answering.
“From me. . .” Zim said frown on his face, yet never looking up from his book.
“How about the scratches?” I asked, surprised.
“Zim did that to.” Zim answered, still never looking up from his book.

"Get OFF of me, Dib!" shouted Zim, pinned down by Dib.
"Never!" shouted Dib back, struggling to keep a hold on the Irken. They were deep into Zim's lab, and Zim was just about to fire a death ray at the Earth before Dib showed up and knocked him to the ground.
"I repeat, get OFF of me!"
"No way, not after-"
There was a flash of light, and it went black.

They both sat up. They were in a grassy area, right out side of a small town.
Dib jumped up, pointing accusingly at Zim. "What did you do?!" he demanded.
"Actually, I didn't do anything this time," said Zim, also standing up and brushing himself off.
They both looked around. "Well, where are we?" asked Dib.
Zim read a small sign. "It appears we're in some place called Nuvena Town."

I crawled over to him, anger from the previous day completely gone. I examined him, in his dozing state, and what I observed made me sick to my stomach.
Zim’s wrists were badly bruised, most likely because of how recklessly I grabbed them, how tight I held them into place. He was shivering possibly because he had slept on the cold floor all night long. . .
I carefully lifted his head, careful to not wake him, and placed it on my lap. Why had I done that? I’m no better than him, actually compared, mine was worse. . .

There was a knock on the door. Zim set his work down and went to answer it. Gir trotted after him. Zim was surprised at who was there.
It was the purple-haired girl who had been sitting near Dib. Gaz, was it? She stared upward, appearing to be trying to think of the right words. "Sorry about my brother earlier," she said, "He's really weird like that."

Zim and Gaz visited each other like this every day for almost a month, much to Dib's chagrin. Dib kept trying to convince Gaz that her friend was an alien, but she would have nothing of it. "Shut up, Dib. If you knew him, you wouldn't think like that."
It was on a particular afternoon in school that something odd happened. It was free period, where students could do what they wanted. Most students chose to hang out in the hallways, but Zim and Gaz took advantage of this time in the library, studying for a test. Zim appeared to be focused on his work. Gaz's mind, however, drifted in other directions. Zim's deep blue-gray eyes were focused intently on the page, almost giving the appearance of scanning it. He was quietly mumbling to himself, perhaps to help himself remember the information. Watching him sit there like that, Gaz suddenly felt a pul

Chapter 3: An Odd Meeting
Zim and Dib walked through the forest path, looking down at the trainer cards they'd been given by the lady from the Pokemon Center.
"I swear, that lady put 'Pokemon Breeder' under Trainer Type on purpose," said Dib. "You're lucky, you got 'Ace Trainer.'"
"Honestly, 'Pokemon Breeder' sounds like someone who really knows about Pokemon to me," said Zim.
"But to BREED them?!"
"I'll admit, that's a bit weird. Under personality, I got 'Serious.' What did you get?"
"'Naughty.' I swear, that lady has it out for me."
Zim was about to reply, but he was bowled over to the ground. When he recovered from the blow, he looked up at his attacker. It was a tiny, puppy-looking Pokemon. It was yipping happily, and and didn't seem at all combative.

"What does that have to do with anything?" The human asked irritatedly after a long pause. The alien was always so vague and it ticked him off almost as much as the alien's screaming.

Zim and Dib sat down on two of the little, cushioned stools lining the Pokemon Center. Dib leaned back in his chair, his Oshawatt sitting obediently by his feet. Several young trainers had their eyes glued to a television screen, which was broadcasting a report of a drive-by in Saffron City, Kanto.
Zim snickered quietly.
"What's so funny?" asked Dib, a bit offended that Zim was laughing at something like this.
"Oh, I'm not laughing at the shooting," said Zim, leaning back in his chair. "I'm laughing at the absolute stupidity of humans."
"What do you mean?" asked Dib.
"Humans: Turning on their own kind rather than working towards a common goal they're self-destructive! Much better things could be done with technology than using it to kill each other. The transmissions screen, in which he used to talk to the tallest on, was broken, and dirty with dust and some sort of mashed potatoes.
The floor was now covered in batter, flour, and other things GIR carried around with him. Zim stood, no longer too much in shock to walk around.
He placed his three fingered hand on the screen and a lone tear began to run down his cheek. He stayed like that for a moment before tearing away his hand. The memories in his mind assaulted him with guilt sadness and regret. He could not believe what he had gone though, for just a petty lie.
"Zim needs no one." He said to himself, "Zim will show them. ZIM will show them that he isn't inferior, isn't insane!" He screamed.

The alien's uniform was extremely thin and did nothing to block out the chill. Which is probably why he was so cold, but he'd never stoop so low as to buy a human coat. His race however had never heard of a coat before since it was always warm on his planet, so he went without anything to block out the elements. He refused to wraps his arms around himself, this would show that he was cold, and that would be a weakness. The irken walked down the sidewalk, occasionally slipping on a patch of ice or two before regaining his balance.
Dib stepped out of his own home, wrapped up in his warm trench coat. He didn't much like winters either, they were cold and he hated getting sick.

Time ticked by, and he felt like crying. Why would Zim steal his only safe heaven? How would he? Why would he? Dib begged his brain for the answers that seemed so obvious.
Finally, it was three and the teens and young adults began to run out of the building.
Dib rang his knuckles, he meant business. Then to his dismay, he saw Zim, walking closely beside of Gaz. Gaz was actually smiling and laughing at something Zim had said. That was the final straw, Dib ran up to them.

Gaz on the other hand wished for Zim to end said silence. She'd rather him make the mess, that she would not have to help clean up. So she waited.
Zim- who could now sit up on his own, but only in moderation- sat up, and decided it was time to break the silence.
He coughed, "Gaz, I have a question."

Dib's radio was picking up an odd signal. He turned the knob a little to the left. A little to the right. There was a short whine, and the sound came through clear. "Your turn, Zim," said an odd voice - it was high and low at the same time. "You've been assigned to...Earth. One more thing, Zim. Little did Dib know that his sister has not come home? He did not know he was home all alone.
He closed his eyes in an attempt to sleep, but hours pasted and his mind wound not drift off to sleep. The reason was that he could not empty his mind of the single thought that haunted his mind since elementary skool. The image in his mind never changing. It was Tak.
This thought keep him up endless hours of the night, and once he did fall asleep, it haunted his nightmares. Why? He would always wonder why was the only girl who ever listened to him, who never made fun of him, why did she have to be an Irken?
