I always thought that it sounded more like a dog's name.
He'd been a preemie. It always scared Mom to tears, because he was put in a incubator. The doctor always said that there was a chance that Scout wouldn't be in that incubator tomorrow. Just to warn us, I know, but it was horribly rude of him.
You think I liked sitting there, watching my almost naked brother lie on his back. Cry. Cry. Crying away for Mom. And Mom couldn't hold him. And when he got quiet, when his little voice wasn't working, my heart stopped beating. The Doctor always reassured us that he was just sleeping. That that was all it was. But it didn't ever calm my nerves.
When Mom brought him home one day Vanessa and Lily, the twins, ran up to see him. And Mom put him in my arms and said that she was going to make him a bottle and I should watch the kids because it would be a while. She was going to make us a hot plate too.
Scout scared the crap out of me w
With Blackbirds Following MeThey say that it's the soldiers who spill and see the most blood. I would have to openly disagree. While they're the ones who carry the guns and protect and defend our homeland, did they ever stop to see we're the ones striving to save it? I glanced over my shoulder at the sound of his voice, the other young medic quickly entering our tent. He wasn't like the other soldiers around here, stiff and serious. Instead, he was carefree and wielded a smile on his face. Though happy to see him, I continue to frown, simply nodding my head to him.
He was a newly transferred boy to the front, and he had taken
EP038: Alternate SightingsIn the year 1997, during a single week of December, chaos ensued in Japan. This cause of the pandemonium should be well-known by many; it was the week that the infamous Pokémon anime episode "Electric Soldier Porygon", also known as EP038, aired on television, and many Japanese children gained severe ailments, such as seizures, migraines, eye irritations, and vomiting due to the six or so seconds of rapid red and blue flashing on the screen after Pikachu's thunder attack hit two rocket bombs. However, it is said that there was an alternate reason for the chaos, but it was only within a small group of people, them being parents and therapists. Though this was not made as publicized as the seizures were, a few select children claimed that they did not remember, nor did they even see the red and blue seizure scene, nor did they know anything about the episode plot of scene. They all claimed to have seen something else on their television screens, something blurry and hazy. This was oEP038: Alternate Sightings5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

Lillycove, the large, beautiful city that rests right next to the large ocean. A place full of buildings, greenery, a few steep ledges here and there, and even a lovely beach. The weather is sunny today, and the winds are a little chilly thanks to the sea air. There's a lot of space so no one can feel too crowded, and some people even enjoy laying down on the grass with their pokemon just to relax. However, it seems one of the fields was occupied.

"That move will make me unstoppable on the Battle Subway," My trainer exclaimed as he ignored me like usual.
I growled sleepily. We had been training like this all day.
"You can rest later," He told me. "Now show me what your new move does."
My trainer walked around in the tall grass while I reluctantly followed. We were in a large patch so it was only a few seconds before a wild Reuniclus jumped out.
"Use Perish Song," He commanded.
Yawning, I drew upon the newfound power that I now possessed.
It started off with the sky darkening. I stalled for a moment mid-move to stare up at my trainer in confusion.
"What are you waiting for Absol?" He yelled. "Attack it!"
It was then that I realized that the dark sky must only be occurring in my head. After all, Perish Song was used by Pokemon all the time and you never saw the sky darken when they used it.
I continued my attack and watched with interest as the sky grew darke

Left 4 DoomIt was a rainy day at Jenna's ranch and all of the Pokemon were staying inside trying to entertain themselves in whatever ways possible. Vincent and Veruka were in the living room playing a one sided game of Super Smash Bros while Rupert sat on the couch and gorged himself on Poke Cola while reading the latest PokeChic magazine. Ross and Saria were babysitting Cotton and Napoleon's newly adopted egg while they relaxed in Jenna's spare bedroom with the door locked, although this did nothing to stop Edna from floating through the wall into the closet. Scratch and Sibelius were glued to Jenna's computer as an exhausted Matthew slept with Elizabeth under his wing in the next room over. It was the perfect scene of tranquility, until the mail came.Left 4 Doom5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Nurse Joy looked up in horror as he burst through the doors of the Pokecenter. A young, teenage boy approached her, spazzing and seizing uncontrollably. In his hand he, he gripped a large stone. His fingers clenched around it as though losing it would result in disaster. Nurse Joy ran to the boy's side as he collapsed on the floor. She held him gently in her arms as he continued to have uncontrollable seizures. Between spasms, he began to sputter.
"The voices .the voices ..the .voices .."
Nurse Joy noticed his eyes shift to focus on the stone in his hand. She looked at it curiously.
"This stone? What is it? What is it doing to you?"
She reached for the stone, but the boy only gripped it tighter, sputtering, "The .voices!"
Nurse Joy rushed him to a bed and called for a doctor. Within the hour, the doctor arrived at the Pokecenter.
"What is the problem?" He asked. "You seemed panicked."
"It's this boy," gasped the frantic nurse. "He just keeps seizing! And

It was a freezing winter's day in the small town of Hogsmeade, and Hogwarts students lined up to get their fix of Honeydukes, or for older students, snogging in The Three Broomsticks.
"Students! Students! Quiet down!" cried out Professor McGonagall, amidst all the noise. "You all have two hours to do as you please, as long as you stay in bounds!" she ordered, shooting a stern look at the Weasley twins. "The teachers will be located in the Three Broomsticks for emergencies."
The younger students whizzed past the professor, overly excited. 5th years Luna Lovegood, and 6th years Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, and Neville Longbottom were all standing next to each other, quiet, not knowing where to go or what to do.
"See you later, guys. We'll be in the Three Broomsticks."said Harry, who walked off with Hermione and Ron, leaving Luna and Neville alone. Ginny, oblivious to their presence, wal
Symphony of WarLaughter could be heard throughout the furthest reaches of the building, and probably even out on the streets below, where light from the windows poured out. Outside, the sky was dark, the air still heated from the sun's summer rays, which left the stars to seemingly shine more brightly than they had for days. Then again, just the general atmosphere of the night might have had a large role to play in that thought. Everything seemed brighter, more vivid tonight. It was, after all, the first night in quite some time they had to themselves.Symphony of War10 years ago in Historical More Like This
The building had been claimed by German soldiers, only to be claimed by the company as they traveled through Paris. It was a lavish estate, built specifically for a life of comfort and luxury. All the men were really concerned about however, was if it had running water, and a decent supply of alcohol. Luckily, and much to the men's joy, it had both.
Now a good number of the company was scattered about the building, rummaging around for any 'souvenirs'

The flames had started dying down, leaving only the embers to cast light upon the small camp. A few things were visible in the fading light: a sleeping bag, a knapsack, a pot and the remains of a meal, an unconscious Agumon (who rolled over and started muttering about fried eggs), and a young man.
The only being awake, he stared at the fire, his face surprisingly pensive. Amber eyes flickered with the glow of the remaining fire, and his hair, recently cut back to the chin length he preferred, was left out of its pony tail to dangle in his face. A small bandage across his cheek was the only evidence of the scrap he and his partner had gotten themselves into earlier that day and the resulting treaty that had been made.
It was times like these, as few and far between as they were, that

The Shirona regime boasts that it is in command and is backed by what it calls the largest assembled army of human pokemon in the Nation. It also tells the world that the people of Sinnoh are happier and healthier than before Cynthia's rise to power.
However, newly leaked documents have proven the opposite: the Shirona regime is embroiled in a power struggle over the people's loyalty and support, and the people themselves are living in fear; and worshipping the Champion as commanded by the powerful cult that has risen in the region. In exchange for compliance with the cult's demands, the people are allowed to live, says one source.
Calling itself the Church of Shirona, this politically powerful organisation rose from the aftermath of the Sinnoh War, operated in secret while Cynthia Shirona established

"We're sorry, Professor, but I don't think your grandson's Raticate will make it," the nurse whispered.
Oak sighed, rubbing his temples. "I'm sorry to hear that. ...Green, do you want to pay your last respects?"
The boy snorted. "Like I care! It's all Red's fault. He doesn't know how to hold back!" The nurse made a small sound of disgust before retreating to the back of the Center, syringe in hand.
"Red killed your Raticate? I think not! It's your own fault for pushing your Pokémon and not preparing for such a situation when you knew you'd be away from a Center, and your own friend had to suffer the consequences," Oak answered, wrinkling his nose in disgust.
He'd been hopeful about the boy, but it'd become heavily apparent in recent years that he was little more than a sociopath and a bully, always trying to be the best...
He'd given his grandson the responsibility of a Pokémon and Pokédex mostly to humor the behavioral child, but also in hopes that he'd lea
