This is my first animation with the Mechawhales characters. I went for a toonstyle render because I thinkt it fits the characters quite nicely. My animation skills can still need a lot of improvement but I am fairyl happy how the thing turned out nontheless.
NB: Best viewed HD coz otherwise you get this random band at the bottom.
My uni major work! I can identify most of what is wrong with it: bad plot, bad direction, inconsistent drawing, flat animation, lazy titles... but hey, I finished it, and I've learnt a lot, and I will make better work in the future.

Process outlined somewhere among the ruins of [link] But basically I did this homemade animation equipment thing (that totally did my back in), scanned in my frames to Photoshop, and put it all together in After Effects. Except for a couple of shots I animated in Flash coz I got lazy.
Thank you, DeviantArt, for accepting me to become a member of the Film & Animation galleries, this is the first video I am submitting straight to DA
This painting was done during my 31 day painting challenge during (May 2013) its second week (Figures). I painted quickly (1-2 hours) on a natural bamboo paper that turned out not to be the greatest choice for watercolor, it changes color and fades it too much for my taste, I tried to apply Ecoline on top to get darker tones but even that didn't result into coloring I was hoping for.
I was inspired by one of the ballet series photography made by my friend =DianaGrigore > [link] "The stages of life".
An Eskimo hunter sets out to the stormy blizzards of the snowy mountains in search for a pray to hunt. The hunter stumbles upon an unlikely Prey, an egg that just hatched out of the snow and mistakes the hunter for it's mother. But when the angry Yetti notices what's happening, the hunter shortly becomes the hunted and finds himself in need of assistance from his former Prey.
